If you are considering starting or expanding your cattle operation, you should attend the Cobbins Farm Cattle Field Day on Thursday, October 3, 2019, 4pm, 17911, Hwy 51 North, Durant, MS 39063. During this event, you will meet experienced and veteran cattle farmers, who will disperse beneficial information to help you build a profitable and sustainable cattle operation. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) staff will outlay practices to help manage your natural resources. Cobbins Farm personnel will share tidbits on building a successful herd. They will highlight practices received through NRCS’s Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP), including watering troughs, cross fences, heavy use pads, impoundments and other conservation practices. Allen McReynolds of WCSHC said, “Cobbins Farm is a model farm for others to emulate.
