Covington County USDA Outreach Meeting Tuesday, September 17, 2019 • 6:00 pm Jones Chapel Church M.B. Church 140 Jones Chapel Church Rd. Collins, MS 39428 Pastor Milton J. Williams

The state of Mississippi consists of a landmass of more than 30 million acres. These acres are producing crops, trees, and other valuable natural resources to sustain families throughout the world. Fact: agricultural and forestry-related entities drive Mississippi’s economy. Hence, each acre of land must achieve maximum production. According to the National Agricultural Statistic Service (NASS) 2017’s census report, Mississippi has 20 million acres of privately held land. Cooperatively, the Winston County Self Help Cooperative and Covington County Self Help Project have discovered most individuals do not have management plans to provide pivotal guidance. Therefore, if you want to learn the ins and outs of managing your land, then, you should attend this outreach meeting on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, 6:00 pm at Jones Chapel M.B. Church. Resource providers from the United State Department of Agriculture and Community-Based Organization will share and empower participants with the knowledge to develop your farm legacy. Please share this information with others and be on time for this informative meeting. For more information, contact Dr. Arnetta Crosby 601-466-0416 or Fenton Pope 601-517-3138.
