JACOB & BEVERLY BURNS CATTLE FIELD DAY TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 2018 TIME: 5:00 PM 490 CR 31 ROSEHILL, MS 39356

Jacob & Beverly Burns are longtime farmers, who reside in one of the most beautiful areas in the state of Mississippi, Rosehill. One can describe Rosehill as bucolic or for better words, a throwback to olden time. The abundance of longleaf pine trees and the sloping hills, which helps create the feeling of home, can consume onlookers. Therefore, you should mark your calendars and participate in this learning and educational field day about living in rural America. During this event, the Burns will share their experiences of living on the farm and explain why individuals should participate in USDA’s programs to enhance their farm operation. Dwight Jackson, farmer, cattleman and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) employee will disperse tidbits about improving your soils to produce healthier forages to reduce input cost. Delmar Stamps, farmer and a private consultant will enlighten attendees to participate in NRCS’s Conservation Security Program. Renowned private forester, Freddie Davis will discuss forest management plans and how to accrue the maximum dollars from your woodlots. Please bring your personal folding chair and be on time for this life shifting event.
