Winston County Self Help Cooperative, Holmes County Career & Technical Center & Lexington Community Student Learning Center Presents An
Old Fashion Canning Workshop TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2018 • 6:00 PM LEXINGTON COMMUNITY STUDENT LEARNING CENTER 333 YAZOO STREET LEXINGTON, MS 39095
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for us to resurrect our canning skills. If, you can remember 40 years ago, we would congregate on the front porch and shell peas, beans and chute corn to help feed our families across the winter months. This process would allow grandmothers to share canning recipes and folklores about the family’s legacy. The Winston County Self Help Cooperative along with their friends at Holmes County Career & Technical Center & Lexington Community Student Learning Center will present an “Old Fashion Canning Workshop” to rekindle hope in this fleeting art. You are invited to participate on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 6 p.m. to change your family health through the consumption of preserved locally grown fruits and vegetables. We shall see you there. For more information contact Allen McReynolds 601-513-4503. Also, if you need an accommodation to participate in this activity or event, please contact (Latrice Todman) at (662-446-2423), or by e-mail at tarieltwcshc@gmail.com.
