SKIFFER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION OUTREACH MEETING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2019, 9:00 AM SIMPSON COUNTY LIVESTOCK ARENA 2785 SIMPSON HWY 49 MENDENHALL, MS 39114
The state of Mississippi consists of a landmass of more than 30 million acres. These acres are producing crops, trees, and other valuable natural resources to sustain families throughout the world. Fact: agricultural and forestry-related entities drive Mississippi’s economy. Hence, each acre of land must achieve maximum production. According to the National Agricultural Statistic Service (NASS) 2017’s census report, Mississippi has 20 million acres of privately held land. Cooperatively, the Skiffer Community Development Association has discovered most individuals do not have management plans to provide pivotal guidance. Therefore, if you want to learn the ins and outs of managing your land, then, you should attend this outreach meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 9am at Simpson County Livestock Arena 2785 Simpson Hwy 49, Mendenhall, MS. Resource providers from the United States Department of Agriculture and Community-Based Organizations will share and empower participants with the knowledge to develop their farm’s legacy. Please share this information with others and be on time for this informative meeting.
Lunch provided with reservations. To RSVP or for further information contact Jimmie Durr at 601-940-7630 by October 11th.
