WINSTON COUNTY SELF HELP COOPERATIVE’S
FORESTRY FIELD DAY MONDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2017 • 10:00 AM RUBY GLADNEY HOME PLACE IN THE NEW ZION COMMUNITY 2800 HIGHPOINT-WEIR ROAD LOUISVILLE, MS 39339 If you are a beginning or veteran forest landowner, then, you should attend this forestry field day on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 10:00 am. Participants will hear directly from the Miller-Gladney Family descendants about their journey in owning their family legacy for more than 140 years. Freddie Davis, the family’s forester will elaborate in detail, why you should use a forest management plan. This plan provides guidance to help you achieve your planned goals through conservation practices. The Miller-Gladney Farm received costshare assistance through the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) to implement numerous conservation practices. The family has used cost-share assistance for timber stand improvement, reforestation practices, fire lanes, erosion control and a chemical release spray. The Miller-Gladney Family extends an invitation for you to participate and learn from resource providers to help you achieve your long-term goals of managing your forestland. If you are planning to attend, please contact Latrice Todman @ 662-446-2423 by October 23, 2017.
