WEDAWAYS Pamela and I are thrilled to be a part of the second edition of the Design Destinations Magazine Weddings Issue. It is a real joy to present an exclusive selection of our partners to you. We dedicate ourselves to exploring the world and finding properties that discerning engaged couples and wedding planners will fall in love with and book for their destination weddings and romantic honeymoons. Our dynamic portfolio is featured on our search engine Wedaways, which includes resources for global venues & destinations, Wedaways Getaways™ webinars, our popular blog, and so much more. Neither Pamela nor I ever imagined would be in business together, and never considered a mother/daughter partnership before Wedaways. As my lifetime career in luxury bridal retail and television came to a close, I was considering new opportunities. After completing her Master’s Degree and launching a startup in Israel, Pamela was considering a move back to London to launch another startup. Our daily conversations led to a meet-up in Italy. It wasn’t long after that we realized we could start something new and exciting together by combining our unique abilities and resources. So Pamela came back to Los Angeles. Wedaways was born out of heart-to-heart, head-to-head conversations between two very independent women deeply connected by familial bond, and mutual respect. The concept morphed a bit along the way, but the vision of the business has remained consistent. To add value to an already existing niche marketplace. We’re enjoying the journey. FLOWERS, FLOWERS & used flowers and herbs to disguise guests' odors. During the Victorian era, flowers played an essential part in weddings, as Queen Victoria carried a flower bouquet when she married Prince Albert, popularizing the bridal bouquet.
The use of specific flowers also has a meaning. White roses represent purity, true love, and strength. The stephanotis means marital happiness, and the lilies symbolized the bride's healthy fertility. The tulip comes in various colors, and depending on its c o l o r, t h e m e a n i n g r e fl e c t s abundance, charity, passion, and enduring love. And finally, the orchid symbolizes luxury and refinement. The choices are abundant, and wedding planners can assist with the selection to make a wedding memorable.

FLOWERS
Flowers take center stage in most wedding decorations. The variety of available flowers is endless. With opportunities to import anywhere, wedding planners can take a simple wedding affair and turn it into a fantastic experience with dramatic floral designs.
But one may ask the origin of using flowers at weddings. How and where did it begin? To answer these two questions, we must go back into history to ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Ancient cultures used flower bouquets and garlands made of herbs and aromatic foliage during celebrations to honor the gods or ward off evil spirits.
