Brand Guidelines May 2016 1
Logo The Gleann Mór Spirits Company logo is one of the company’s most valuable assets. It makes the company instantly recognisable. 01 Round disc logo This logo is designed primarily for use on bottle labels, but can be used wherever it is suitible to do so. Where space is limited, such as social media icons, this logo should be used. 02 Horizontal logo This logo should be used as a substitute if the round disc icon is not appropriate, or will not fit in the desired area without being too small. An example would be in a website header. If possible, the logos should be used in their primary colour on a white background. Alternatively, the logo should be white on the secondary dark blue brand colour, with the stag’s head and text being the same colour as the background. See examples. 03 Monotone logos

Imagery Images speak louder than words. As such, high quality imagery is a key part of then Glean M贸r Spirits Company brand message. High quality images portray high quality products. Any imagery used with our brand should always be warm and real in order to reflect our values as a company. No stock photography or low resolution images. When possible, imagery should be full bleed on the page, rather than squeezed into a small space. Particularly online, images should always be used to support the brand message.

Using imagery and text When used effectively, text on imagery can help to convey the brand message more clearly and effectively. When using text on images... • Make the text bold, large and easy to read. • Keep text simple and to the point. Don’t use long sentences. • Make sure the text is always white on a dark background, or dark on a light background. This ensures the text can be easily read. • If the text on the image could be easier to read, try adding a black layer above the image (but below the text), and lowering the opacity to around 30%. This will improve the clarity of the text for the reader. If the text is very hard to read, consider using a different image. • If the website URL is used, make sure it is below the logotype and alligned properly. See example.
