After School Hockey Club

For those boys and girls with minimal skating experience who want to improve their skills and learn to play hockey. A helmet of some type is required. Students MUST wear appropriate outdoor clothing including warm, water proof coat, snow pants, mittens or gloves, neck warmer and warm socks. Kids may take the Cow bus to the “IceBox” Ice Rink at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Please pick up at 5:00pm at the Ice Rink. Location: Ice Rink Instructor: Dan Weida MIN/MAX: 6/15

Ice Skating- After School Ice Skating Club

Join Coach Dan for fun ice skating after school at the Icebox!After School Ice Skating Club- Learn to Skate is for kids with little to no experience ice skating. This class will cover all the basics of ice skating. Kids will work on learning to stop (most likely with a wedge), turning, and basic body positioning for ice skating. This class is held on Thursdays at the Icebox. After School Ice Skating Club- Kids should have winter clothes to skate in- ski/snow pants, winter jacket, gloves, scarf or neck gator, and warm socks. Skate rentals are included with registration. A helmet is required- ski helmets work great and keep kids warm- a bike helmet is also acceptable. Transportation info will be communicated prior to the first week of class. Fraser Valley Rec is working with the East Grand School District to arrange for kids to ride the bus from Fraser Valley Elementary. Parents should pick up at 4:45 at the Icebox. Questions? For kids with at least some experience ice skating. This class will play games that reinforce skills such as stopping, changing direction, and improving balance on skates. Kids will work to develop more advanced ice-skating skills such as skating backwards, hockey stopping, and improving acceleration. This class is held on Wednesdays at the Icebox.Kids should have winter clothes to skate in- ski/snow pants, winter jacket, gloves, scarf or neck gator, and warm socks. Winter Tennis 101 – After School

Come join us for winter tennis inside the rec center. This class will focus on hand-eye coordination, basic movements, cooperation, and fun games that are all used to teach basic skills. Youth Basketball

Fraser Valley Rec offers a youth basketball program designed to give participants a basic understanding of the rules, skills, and strategies of basketball. This program has two divisions: 3rd & 4th Graders- coed and 5th and 6th Graders- split into boys teams girls teams (provided that enough boys/girls register). Youth Volleyball

Fraser Valley Rec offers a youth volleyball program that emphasizes volleyball fundamentals, skill development, fun, and sportsmanship. This program has two divisions: 3rd & 4th Graders (coed) and 5th and 6th Graders (Coed). Games are played against teams from Granby and Kremmling. Fraser Valley Elementary 5th Graders must leave Fraser Valley Elementary after school and return for practice at 5pm. Game days: 3/19, 4/9, 4/23. Games will be held at Middle Park High School in Granby, West Grand Middle School or West Grand High School in Kremmling. Would you like to coach?
