STEP ABOARD ANOTHER WORLD
That’s our invitation to you. Access to life experiences you never thought possible, enriched through sharing... made everlasting through memories that remain for a lifetime.
And think about it.
In those well-earned moments in life together with family or friends, what is it that those stories we share and enjoy together are so often about? The things we have purchased? Or the things we have done? The places we have been, the things we shared together?
We believe experiences count for everything in life. Especially those we can share.
This year, Fraser celebrates 75 years of sharing worldwide access to the naturally exceptional. The world of yachting at its most majestic.
We have inspired, curated, created and preserved the most unforgettable experiences for those in search of the exceptional. Third and fourth generations of clients from all over the world. Those new to yachting, over 40% of our clientele in 2021.
Those seeking a new connection with nature, time-out from the noise-laden day-to-day or simply the opportunity to take one precious personal moment to say: “Well done. You made it.”
Whether you choose to ‘own’ the experience with a yacht purchase or simply charter it for a carefree escape; our people, their skills, expertise and pure passion for yachts and yachting, have combined to build a brand that stands firmly on its reputation to deliver... and deliver with excellence.
You now hold in your hand what we trust will be an enticing glimpse of the exceptional that lies in wait for you. A first introduction, perhaps, to the people with the insight and the expertise to help you grasp it, live it and share it.
Enjoy our sail through the yachts, destinations, activities, art, craftsmanship, innovation and devotion that make up the unique world of luxury yachting – and perhaps your next experience?
We look forward to you enjoying it with us.
On behalf of everyone at Fraser Worldwide — welcome aboard another world.
JUST WHAT GOES IN TO CREATING THE YACHTS OF OUR DREAMS? ARTFULLY CRAFTED FROM CONCEPT THROUGH TO COMPLETION, ARTISANS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD SPEND YEARS SCULPTING, MOULDING, CARVING AND APPLYING AGE-OLD TECHNIQUES TO PRODUCE BESPOKE SUPERYACHTS THAT ARE AKIN TO FLOATING WORKS OF ART.
ZANIZ JAKUBOWSKI, DESIGNER, LUMINOSITYWork doesn’t finish when night falls in Oss, The Netherlands. Home to the Heesen shipyard, spotlights illuminate aluminium welders as they artfully fuse together a smooth hull. To obtain maximum strength and rigidity, Heesen uses aluminium that is more than three times as thick as that used on the body of a a jumbo jet. For materials that robust, the artisanal skill required to mould them into submission is not the reserve of the small and dainty.
Nearby in Winterswijk, at Heesen’s dedicated yacht interiors workshop, over 130 craftspeople busy away, from draftsmen to cabinet-makers, and upholsterers to French polishers, passing their expertise down through the generations. Aboard 37M/122’ AURELIA (for sale and charter, pg 183), named after the first Gran Turismo with an eye-catching Gulf Oil Racing paint scheme, her automotive design by Bannenberg & Rowell is reflected in mesh infills to suggest radiator grilles and thick stainless steel drawer pulls with knurled detailing, all custom-made by Heesen.
Aboard Amels’ Winch-designed 68M/222’ NENINKA (ex. AURORA BOREALIS), the stone bathtub in the Owner’s suite, backed by a wall of petrified wood, is a labour of love. “We wanted the sculptural form of the bathtub to do the talking so we knew it was important to make the tub from one single block of Cream Liria stone,” says Greig Jolly, Associate at Winch Design.
In NENINKA’s Owner’s study, a constellation artwork, which took eight months to create, was brought to life using stained birds-eye maple, almond gold inlays, mother-of-pearl and coloured shells. A sand-shading technique was used to give depth and create the illusion of looking towards the stars.
“It typically takes five years to build a full custom yacht, but our 65 craftspeople are continually innovating to find new, exciting ways of creating something that hasn’t been done before,” says Jason Chadda, director at Silverlining, which completed much of the finish work and cabinetry aboard 80M/262’ Nobiskrug ARTEFACT (pg 52).
I wanted the sensation of floating through the forest while looking to the sea… so that butterflies fly away as the lift ascends and trees sway as guests walk past.”

The result? “It’s definitely got a little touch of spaceship, but just the right balance,” says ARTEFACT’s Captain, Aaron Clark.
Along with the Owner, Captain Clark spent eight months and $110,000 building ARTEFACT’s family deck level to scale out of wood and Tyvek construction wrap before the first cut of steel. “It helped us to figure out how much room the Owners need to comfortably live aboard.”
Alongside space, the Owners find comfort in the straight-grain dark walnut floors, taupe ripple fiddle-back sycamore walls, and hand gilded wall glass panels by DKT Artwork. “Our decorative finishes adapt to what the client needs,” says Guglielmo Carrozzo, DKT’s head of marketing. “But a key area that remains the centrepiece aboard any yacht is the staircase. It’s one of the few places where you can tell a story that transitions through the decks.”
Epitomising this is the staircase aboard 89M/292’ HERE COMES THE SUN — an ode to the Owner’s private vineyard. Intricately carved into a stone-like finish using deep carved cast bas-relief, the complex artwork required a series of masters to carve the continuous design, while avoiding any obvious repeats.
“Even the design stage is not straightforward, because an image that looks beautiful on paper isn’t necessarily suitable to carve,” says Carrozzo. “We have to interpret the curve, the angles and the thickness of each layer even before requesting Owner approval.”
For Carrozzo, superyacht craftsmanship is about the preservation of age-old techniques, and the history and talent imbued in every layer. “Gilding is like an endangered skill,” he laughs, “because craftsmanship is not about what you see, but the process behind it. Leaves of gold are applied one-by-one by hand, by multiple artisans at different stages. It takes time, and unfortunately we live in an era with very little patience.”
All design evolves with the moving times, adapting to advancing technologies. But in the world of superyachts, which values quality and exclusivity virtually above all else, an appreciation for craft, knowledge and ancient techniques elevates the ordinary into the realms of the unique.

AUSTRALASIA AUSTRALIA
Outback opportunities
The land of epic diving and surfing offers arresting beauty at every turn, where wet tropics run down to the shore, and far-flung islands offer up reef-fringed lagoons.
More than a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, sailing Australia’s east coast takes in cosmopolitan oceanfront cities, dense rainforest and expansive outback expeditions. On the UNESCO World Heritage Fraser Island, keen anglers are reeled in by the chance to hook a flathead, tuna or swallowtail year round. Pristine dive sites are found in Princess Charlotte Bay, but overnight excursions to remote Lizard Island will reward with 24 ivory-white beaches, sightings of nesting osprey and unrivalled rooftop views across the Coral Sea.
Further south, the laidback lifestyle afforded on the 74 Whitsunday Islands draws in sailors like a siren song. A scattering of ultra-luxe island resorts makes for an unsurpassed itinerary. Watch migrating humpbacks from your bathtub on Hamilton Island. Take a helicopter to private Hayman Island to dine on fresh octopus and goldband snapper. Then tee off at Dent Island’s golf course, the only championship course in Australia on its own private island.

“For pure unfiltered beauty, it doesn’t come better than the Whitsundays. Relax the day away on majestic Whitehaven Beach, or explore numerous stunning bays by tender. For an underwater paradise, choose the Great Barrier Reef and its coral atolls, where you can scuba dive with giant potato cod. And if you are looking for something rugged and remote, the Kimberley is an epic wilderness — see it by helicopter or on a 4x4 for a true adventure.“

Also found here are many of New Zealand’s wineries, producing some of the best wines in the world, particularly Sauvignon Blanc.
Rotorua and Hobbiton, just a few hours from Auckland, allow you to visit some of the last remaining film sets from Lord of the Rings, as well as thermal mud baths, born of the volcanoes in the area. To see the Haka, the traditional war dance of New Zealand up close, visit Rotorua where the Maori people are happy to share their culture.“

ANTARCTICA Icy fortunes
Everlasting sun, icy fjords and polar serenity converge on Antarctica’s frozen tundra, where fur seals, dolphins and whales roam free across Earth's highest and driest continent.
Cast off to the End of the World in an epic foray to the South Pole. Nowhere else on Earth gifts the opportunity to stride across ice sheets alongside vast colonies of king penguins, before gliding through calving glaciers under the eternal midnight sun. Antarctica’s unique ecosystems play home to languishing seals, migrating whales and the mighty wandering albatross. Here is where the Gerlach Strait proffers soaring blue icebergs and snow-capped mountains.
Cruise the Drake Passage’s frigid waters, a rite of passage for those looking to step foot on the South Shetland Islands. Thrill the senses with a volcanic-heated bath on Deception Island, then relax on black sands surrounding a captivating natural harbour. Sail The Gullet in order to reach
Marguerite Bay and look for elephant seal colonies basking in the sun. For something otherworldly, a submersible dive in the Bourgeois Fjord hits the sweet spot.

FRANCES EDGEWORTH, CHARTER BROKER, MONACO “Visiting the South Pole following Shackleton and Scott’s footsteps is a very special experience. As you take off from your yacht by helicopter, you can really appreciate the true majesty of this destination and its exploration history. For an illuminated insight in to life in Antarctica, take a visit to the Vernadsky Research base and meet the Ukrainian researchers working there. Deception Island, formed from the caldera of an active volcano, is home to over 100,000 breeding pairs of penguins and is not to be missed. And for the most daring, a polar plunge is an exhilarating once-in-a-lifetime experience!“
