Frazer

Tamayz (Tamy) Aman was born in Caracas, Venezuela on August 8, 1965, and has been married for 36 years to Mario Aman, an Elder in the FMC. They have two sons, Daniel and Joel, and a 7-month-old grandson, Matthew Elias. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 19 in Jesucristo en los Hogares Church, in Caracas. She has a bachelor’s in Biblical Studies at the Seminario de Capacitación Ministerial (SECAMI); and has an associate degree in Theology at the Latin University. In 1993, she started working together with her husband as National Directors for Valley of Decision Ministries. In 1996, they relocated to the United States, and in 1997, started a church in Orlando, Florida, where she served as the Worship Director and co-pastor. She and Mario moved to Montgomery in 2003. Together, they started the Hispanic Ministry at Frazer Church, where she has served as Worship Director, Women’s Ministry Director, Discipleship and Prayer and Intercession Leader.

John Jerrod Dorminey Local Ministerial Candidate

Jerrod has been attending Frazer for 27 years. He was baptized in what is now the North Gym in the Activity Center at the age of 14 and began singing as a volunteer on the Contemporary worship team 18 years ago. He took over as interim Contemporary worship leader in November of 2008 before coming on staff full time as the Contemporary worship leader in June of 2009. In 2021, Jerrod became Minister of Music and now oversees our worship, media, production, and communications teams. He is married to Abby, and together they have three children: Zoey (11); Norah (9); and J. Wills (7). Jerrod is passionate about pouring into the next generation, and raising up leaders within the church.

Candidate

Debra Goldwire is a member of Frazer Free Methodist Church. She is a mother of five adult children, and the mother-in-law of three. She has 12 grandchildren and is expecting a new one in the winter. She is on a journey to become an Ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church. Her disciplines are scripture reading, fasting, and praying. When she isn’t too busy, she loves to crochet and do word find puzzles, as it keeps her active. She loves contemporary music, gospel music, and folk music. She solicits your prayers that she would keep the faith during the process as a Conference Ministerial Candidate.

Tyler Grant Local Ministerial Candidate

Tyler Grant has been married to his lovely wife, Elizabeth, for eight years and is the father to Judah and Eleanor. He first felt the call to ministry in his hometown of Dalton, Georgia. Tyler has a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry & Digital Media from Lee University and is pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Faulkner University. Ministry has taken him and his family from Utah to Georgia and back home to his wife’s home state of Alabama. Tyler has served as the Student Minister of Frazer Church since September of 2018, and is passionate about seeing teenagers come to know Jesus Christ as savior, and helping others to find mental freedom and healing. He is excited about what the Lord is doing at Frazer Church, and how the LMC process will help equip him to continue to make disciples of all nations.

Michael Gross Free Methodist Evangelist Candidate

Michael Gross has been married to Marcilla for 22 years and they have one son, Dawson. A native of Tallassee, Alabama, he graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Physical Education and earned his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Auburn. He taught in the Montgomery Public School system for 14 years as a Physical Education Specialist and retired from AUM after 16 years as an Associate Clinical Professor of Kinesiology. Michael has been active at Frazer for over 37 years, and currently teaches the Pressing Forward Sunday School class. Michael serves as the Lay Chair of the Mission Board. He has served on short-term mission trips to places including Ukraine, Russia, Malawi, and the U.S. Michael is excited to see how God will use an Evangelist ordination on future mission trips and future ministry opportunities.

Gadiel Hidalgo Local Ministerial Candidate

Gadiel E. Hidalgo was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He grew up in a big family - the 9th of 11 siblings. In 1979 when Gadiel was still in high school, he participated in a major evangelistic initiative for his city. He met his future wife during the program training, although they had grown up in the same church. He married Oda on June 14, 1986, after he graduated from college. They have two children, Gadiel Alfonso, who works for a Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and their youngest, Joyce, who is in Iowa seeking a degree as a dental hygienist. They moved to Houston, Texas, in 1996. While he was in Houston, he was part of the pastoral team of a Hispanic Church, and after eight years there, moved to Montgomery in March 2004. Since then, they have been deeply involved with the Hispanic ministry of Frazer Church.

Gregorio David Hidalgo Local Ministerial Candidate

Gregorio David Hidalgo was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. His parents, Julio Hidalgo and Digna de Hidalgo, were evangelical pastors who planted numerous churches through their missionary work in the interior of Venezuela. Gregorio and Virley De Los Angeles Medina have been married for 27 years and have a son, Daniel Isaac Hidalgo Medina, born in 1997. All his academic training was carried out in Venezuela, managing to obtain two university degreesBachelor of Music, Mention: Musicology (2004) and Bachelor of Education, Mention: Music (2014). In the Christian service, he has worked in various ministerial areas: as a substitute pastor and as a Teacher in Music, mainly in Barquisimeto and Maracaibo, Venezuela. He also worked as the Worship Director at Frazer Hispanic Ministry from 2011 - 2012, when he had to return to Venezuela for family issues. He currently serves as a volunteer musician and teacher of the Word at Frazer FMC Hispanic Ministry.

Oda Hidalgo Local Ministerial Candidate

Odalay (Oda) Hidalgo was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. She was born in a Christian home and had always been involved in different ministries and activities in her hometown church. She has been married for 37 years to Gadiel Hidalgo and has two children, Gadiel Alfonso (31) and Joyce (23). She has a degree in Education from UPEL (Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador) in her native Barquisimeto. She has lived in the United States for 27 years. She works for Frazer Church as the Administrative Assistant with the Hispanic Ministry. She is also part of the Praise and Worship Ministry.

Zach Jeffcoat Local Ministerial Candidate

Zach Jeffcoat grew up in Montgomery and ministered alongside his parents for most of his life. After graduating from Saint James School (2014), Zach received a degree in worship from Asbury University (2018) and in intercultural studies from Asbury Theological Seminary (2022). During his first week at Frazer, Zach got to bear witness as Frazer affiliated with the Free Methodist Church. As many can attest, Zach felt affiliating was a transformational process; God used this denominational change to initiate a season of rapid growth and harvest in Zach’s life. Serving in our worship and groups ministries has allowed Zach to find a special place of belonging in the Frazer Family. As one of our deacons, Zach hopes to encourage and exhort our community to boldly embrace a culture of devotion to Jesus Christ.

Robert (BJ) Nave Local Ministerial Candidate

BJ is a native of Montgomery who decided to follow Jesus when he was 7 years old during VBS. BJ has been a member of the Frazer Family for the past 23 years. He is a US Marine Corps Veteran who loves serving on staff in our Congregational Care and Prayer Ministries as well as volunteering in our Children’s Ministry. He also enjoys playing French horn in our orchestra. He’s found the greatest fulfillment and joy experiencing God’s faithfulness through every generation in our church. Jesus said to let the little children come to Him. May we all come to Jesus with such childlike faith.

Kelly Slover Local Ministerial Candidate

Kelly Slover has been married to her husband, Eric, for 14 years and is the mother of four children (ages 10, 8, 4, and 2). A Montgomery native, she received her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Public Health from Auburn University Montgomery in 2009. For six years, Kelly served alongside her husband while he was the Student Pastor at Pintlala Baptist Church (2011-2017). She also worked in the medical and educational fields before entering the

ministry in 2017. Kelly began serving at Frazer as the Small Groups Coordinator and has served as the Groups Minister since 2020. Kelly has a passion for proclaiming the gospel and encouraging her Christian brothers and sisters to walk more closely with the Lord. She is excited and expectant for the LMC journey and for her continued ministry at Frazer Church.

Annette Winston Conference Ministerial Candidate

Annette Winston is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Alabama for many years. She was baptized as a Methodist at the age of twelve. She moved to Montgomery in 2016, and became a member of Frazer Church. She was consecrated as a Deaconess in 2020. Annette has a degree in nursing and a B.A. in Religion from Athens State University. She is currently working for the Alabama Department of Senior Services, Elderly and Disability Waiver Program as a Registered Nurse Consultant. Annette’s passion is in racial unity within the church and was led to this ministry after attending a racial reconciliation seminar in 2008. Since then, she has participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. week with Auburn University in 2009, attended Kaleidoscope Institute’s Gracious Leadership and Catalyst training in California, has been a member in Interfaith Montgomery, facilitated a pilgrimage to the Legacy Museum and served in various other related events.
