LEARNING ABOUT SWITZERLAND Ready for some Swiss action? It is winter and there is something that Sweden and Switzerland has in comment. Snow! Are you new in town and need some guides where to go? Here is a short inspirations for you so you later now where to put your ski’s on and ride down the hill. Maybe skiing for you means to sit down in the afterski? Don’t worry we will guide you through the best restaurant in the ski areas. Let’s go..
A ski holiday in Obersaxen – Val Lumnezia offers an impressive mountain view. Obersaxen with its 29 churches and nearly as many chapels lies on a plateau at an altitude of 1200 metres. If you look to the west, you can see up to the Oberalppass. On the other side of the valley you can see Brigels, and behind it is the majestical Toedi. The ski resort Obersaxen gives access to the mountain Piz Sezner (2300 m). Here you will find ski runs of all difficulty levels. Many wide and open slopes make it easy for beginners but deep snow for free riding is also at hand. The runs in Wali rank among the finest off-piste slopes in the Alps. The ski resort Mürren – Schilthorn is the highestaltitude ski region in the Bernese Oberland and allows an impressive view on the Swiss mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. On a ski holiday in Mürren – Schilthorn skiers can enjoy steep slopes and long downhill runs. From the Schilthorn mountain (2973 m), the highest peak in the area, a demanding slope leads down to the family friendly ski village of Mürren and then continues to Lauterbrunnen. On its way it descends 2000 metres in altitude. From the Piz Gloria restaurant on the Schilthorn peak (where James Bond has been residing) winter tourists have a great 360 degree view. Winter hiking trails and toboggan runs make a winter.
