In January Laura was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia Syndrome (MDS), which progressed to Acute Myeloid Leukemia one month later. She spent the month of March at Methodist Hospital in Rochester having chemotherapy and receiving blood/platelet transfusions. Early April she was able to come home. On May 9th in which she is scheduled to go back to the Methodist Hospital to have another round of chemotherapy followed up with a round of radiation in preparation for her stem cell transplant on May 14th. She will then go to the Gift of Life transplant house until she is well enough to go home. We hope that you can join us at her benefit to help raise money to assist with the bill that are accumulating.
