Freeborn County has been approved to receive $200,000.00 from the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) to assist individuals that have residential and/or commercial property with the cost of debris removal from storms which impacted our area from June 17, 2010 to June 26, 2010. To be eligible for funding you must: - Have debris as a result of the storms between June 17, 2010 and June 26, 2010 - Not have another source (i.e. insurance) paying for the cost to remove debris - Complete the application and collection all required documentation (i.e. proof of payment and insurance letters) by 10/10/10 - Sign, date and deliver the original application form with all required documents prior to 10/15/10 The application period will close on 10/15/10. After that date, the amount of funding available to an individual will be determined based on the amount of applications received. All persons with a qualified claim for reimbursement will be notified within 15 working days of 10/15/10 of the amount of reimbursement they will receive.
