VISION
VISION
Our aim is to improve overall wind farm efficiency through improved blade profiles, materials, technology.
We believe that it is possible to achieve greater efficiency even at low wind speed conditions from any wind turbine while maintaining high efficiency under conditions of greater wind.
At the same time we believe it is possible to reduce the loads on the blade, on the gearbox and on the tower under any wind
condition using special manufacturing techniques and design methods specifically used for advanced composite materials in aero elastic range.
Our products fit the need to achieve more from less windy sites, or to significantly improve the production of old sites with deteriorated blades.
Our mission is to support our customer extract the maximum value from their sites or existing wind farms partnering with them from small development opportunities up to large scale reblading programmes.

THE NEED TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY OF WIND TURBINES The European wind landscape is moving towards a less attractive / increasingly difficult phase for developers and operators:
High yield European sites availability saturating
Incentives schemes becoming less remunerating and, at the same time
Governments pushing for grid parity and innovation to bring wind energy to competition
Commercial turbines designed for steady wind / max efficiency in excess of 10 m/s. At low
wind regimes and outside the specific design conditions, very low performances
Social acceptance / NIMBY and logistics (transport) often limit the use of large rotors,
witch instead is the current answer to all the above
In summary, “standard profiles of turbines are no longer adequate to all purposes.

KEY
KEY TARGETED TECHNICAL DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Produce energy at low wind speed with profiles specifically designed for those conditions
Weight ratio due to the use of materials and advanced technology allowing lower speed cut-in, shifting the power curve on the left with significant yield increase
Noise reduction generated by the choice of profiles with minimal noise impact and use of winglets for the specific destruction of vortex separation.
Blade de-forming according to main axis in relation to wind intensity in a self-adaptive mode, designing with “Complex Composite Structures typical of the Aerospace
Stiffness of the entire blade structure obtained through the use of advanced materials (Carbon, Kevlar and Nomex honeycomb), for a better use of the wind strength to improve the overall efficiency of the system Surface treatment through the use of nano-technology (lower friction / increase efficiency)
Process technology transfers typical of aerospace and marine, based on the use of advanced composite materials
Design concept and product based on modularity to provide the possibility to create multi-part blades coupled together, making easier logistics and transport, minimizing cost and environmental impacts. The use of advanced composite materials will make parts of the junction safer by reducing the weight plus increasing stiffness

FURTURES
FURTURES Our top competence in composites materials, the professional european team create for design, our opportunity in the production area will develop a special blades for increase the efficency of wind turbine with a consistent reduction of the loads on the gearbox and on the tower.
ETA will create a new interesting opportunity on the europeean market in low wind conditions areas. Beyond our Vision, ETA targets to achieve a leading position in the “next wind wave, where wind farms will be required to compete on the free electricity markets thus needing to perform according to a world without incentives and with the lowest possible cost per kWh.
Our top competences in composites, design, profiles, our blend of experiences, will enable ETA to always be on the next level and produce the best wind turbine blades.
ETA will be the partner of choice for wind farmers willing to exploit unknown or marginal areas, and with those which will need to improve their site performance.
