FAQs

FAQs Does Friendly Planet require travelers to be vaccinated? For the health and safety of all our travelers and to comply with the requirements of many of our destinations, all travelers on our Small Group Tours, Value Vacations, and Independent Packages departing on or after Nov. 1, 2021, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to departure, except travelers who are too young to be vaccinated. For our Biblical Journeys and Custom Group tours, vaccines are strongly encouraged and may be required by the tour leader.

How much is it to reserve my spot on tour? A small deposit of $99†† is all that is needed to reserve your spot on most of our tours and packages. You can make payments toward your trip whenever you want before your ﬁnal payment is due.

Should I purchase travel insurance? What does it cover? We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. We oﬀer great coverage, wholesale pricing, and prompt service through Travelex, and you can purchase it when you book or any time prior to making your ﬁnal payment. Travelers will be provided all of the entry requirements upon booking.

Will you provide face masks and hand sanitizer? For everybody's safety, we require the wearing of face masks while touring public places, particularly indoors, and on our tour coaches. Beyond this, we recommend you wear a face mask whenever possible. Please bring your own face mask and hand sanitizer. We will have extras on hand, but supplies may be limited.

How will I know my destination is safe and open for travel? Our expert team is in constant communication with our partners in-destination and consults with all applicable governmental agencies regularly. We won't operate any package unless we're conﬁdent that we can keep you safe and healthy and provide a high-quality experience. This has been our philosophy for more than 40 years. If we can't operate your package, we will work with you to modify your travel dates or destination with no fees or penalties.

For those seeking more flexibility, our Independent Packages include all flights, transfers, hotels, breakfast daily, and some guided touring to introduce you to the destination. The rest is up to you.
