Artist studios and buy direct Art workshops (engaged tourism) Multi-day workshops with lodging - Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Santa Fe Writer’s Lab Biennale Pavilion (themed exhibition and discourse) Public lectures
Santa Fe’s status as an arts community began with the vibrant Santa Fe Art Colony in the first half of the 20th century. The Art Colony was avante garde and at the forefront of new concepts. This would not have been possible without the Museum of New Mexico: under Edgar Hewett, a support system was created to attract and retain artists. As shown by Meow Wolf, it is a time for the renaissance of Santa Fe’s leadership in the arts.
Food and discourse The Santa Fe Art Laboratory, the Art Colony 2.0, is a collaborative place which recalls our roots; in the words of the Venice Biennale, it will be “a laboratory of culture, the arts and ideas.”
