BUSINESS MANAGEMENT You will learn… A unique blend of cross-disciplinary learning, this degree focuses on managerial concepts as well as quantitative controls at both the strategic and operational levels. Explore the disciplines of information systems, accounting, business law, project development, communications and marketing, and enhance your skills in improved processes, quantitative decision making and problem/solution development. Integrated throughout the courses are aspects of conducting business in diverse cultures (domestic and global) as well as ethical issues in the world market today.

Additionally, this degree fulfills Friends University’s Graduate School requirements for seeking an MBA or other graduate degree in business.

This varies depending upon several factors, including how much previous college credit you have. Friends University requires 124 credit hours to complete a bachelor’s degree. The Business Management degree major is a 51 credit hour program and Friends accepts up to 78 credit hours from other accredited colleges and universities. Any remaining credits needed can be completed at Friends. You can determine your own pace – your admission counselor can give you a better idea of timeframe.

What are my options for earning this degree? The Business Management degree is offered on campus, online or in a combination of both. Most students take two classes every eight weeks.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT Concentrations General Business You will learn‌ This concentration advances levels of understanding through courses in organizational theory, strategic management, international business and project management. The professional core and advanced courses develop a strong business foundation for the diverse environment of the business world.
Health Care Management You will learn‌ Emphasis is placed on the management side of the health care industry with courses in medical terminology, health services, regulatory and legal issues, and health systems. The concentration provides a broad educational background for those working or wanting to work in the health care field.
Operations Management You will learn‌ This area is concerned with the designing, planning, controlling and coordinating of business processes, functions and systems. Through advanced study in systems planning, lean manufacturing, logistics and statistical process control, the concentration prepares students for career opportunities in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, transportation and distribution among others.
