A Message from the President and CEO

Frisco, Texas is one of the fastest-growing, highest-quality, and most business-friendly communities anywhere in the country! Whether you are a longtime resident, one of this year’s newest residents (over 10,000 strong), are visiting or thinking of relocating here, we are glad you are ihere!

Frisco’s population has exploded over the past several decades, and I am proud to say that through the events of the past few years, Frisco has also grown in other ways! We’ve grown stronger, more resilient, and more innovative. By overcoming obstacles and recognizing and seizing new opportunities, we as a business community have transformed!

I moved to Frisco in 1997, joined the Frisco Chamber of Commerce team in 2004, and, since that time, have seen both the community and landscape transform drastically! The population of Frisco was around 16,000 residents in 1997 and now has climbed to over 210,000 today. Surprisingly, there is still room to grow!

Approximately 25% of Frisco’s land is still available for new development. Much of this land includes the 2,500 contiguous acres in the Field’s Development in the northern part of the city, which also encompasses 600-acres for the PGA World Headquarters. Along with this new development, major redevelopment projects are beginning…this continued growth means more jobs in Frisco, increased sales tax revenue, stable property taxes, and more opportunities for everyone!

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce, which has been serving the community for over 50 years, is also in a period of transformation. Our new strategic plan has come about as a result of the many world and regional events over the past two years. As we face the ongoing consequences of the pandemic, chambers of commerce have gone from being “relevant” to being “ESSENTIAL,” and now, we must ensure that the Frisco Chamber of Commerce remains an essential catalyst to the business community. Our strategic plan sets the direction to “transform” the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco business community into a more purposeful and productive place of business for all involved.

In late 2019, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce received a 5-Star Accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a designation held by only .5% of all chambers of commerce! This honor reminds us daily of the contribution and commitment we have made to the business community in Frisco and the entire North Texas region.

On behalf of our business community, we look forward to helping you make the most of your time in Frisco. It won’t take you long to figure out why Frisco is an attractive destination for those choosing to live, work, or play (or perhaps all three) in our city. There are so many ways to be a part of the continued transformation! We hope you will be a part of our story!
