Welcome
Adult & SENIORS GROUPS
Central Frontenac Township
Dynamic and friendly, our vibrant inclusive community offers a wide range of activities for individuals and families year around. Whether you like indoor or outdoor fun, nature, history, music or the arts, there is something for everyone here in the Frontenacs. On behalf of the township, I encourage you to explore the 2014 Recreation and Activity Guide. I’m confident you’ll find it is a great source of information about things to see and do and it will help you to connect with folks with whom you share a common interest. Rural living at it’s best, right here in the heart of the Land O’ Lakes. Sincerely, Mayor Janet Gutowski
North Frontenac Township
North Frontenac is the heart of Eastern Ontario’s cottage country. Cottages and campsites dot the shores of the township’s many lakes. The vast expanse of pristine landscape in North Frontenac is unique and stunning during all four seasons. Take a leisurely drive along the “Four Seasons Scenic Route” (a designated route along Road 506/509) and enjoy rare sightings of nature at its finest. The lifestyles of both permanent and seasonal residents, include a wide variety of outdoor activities. The residents of North Frontenac are first class, you won’t find a more welcoming place to visit. Join in the many activities that take place throughout North Frontenac Township. There are many volunteer groups organizing activities that support a peaceful, enjoyable environment which extends to a vibrant, healthy well being for all. Furthermore, North Frontenac has one of the darkest skies in southern Canada, likely providing the best view of the night sky and the Milky Way that you will experience. North Frontenac has created a Dark Sky viewing area which is a public space with amenities, including parking, washroom, electrical service and a concrete pad, where anyone can setup their telescope and enjoy the dark skies. It is located at 5816 Road 506 (44.91791, -76.93947) just south of Plevna. Our motto in North Frontenac Township is “Four Seasons, More Reasons”. We believe there is something for everyone, all year round. We look forward to your arrival and participation. Sincerely, Council and Staff
