The Martyrdom of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Apostles.

12th July - 5th Abib On this day, the two great saints Peter and Paul, were martyred. Peter was from Bethsaida, and he was a fisherman.

The Lord chose him on the second day of His baptism after He chose Andrew his brother. He had fervent faith and strong zeal. When the Lord asked His disciples: “Who do men say that I am?” So they answered, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” ... Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Mat. 16:13-20) After he received the grace of the Holy Spirit, he went around in the world preaching of the crucified Christ, and he converted many to the faith. God wrought great and innumerable signs and wonders by his hands. He wrote two catholic Epistles to the believers. When he came to the city of Rome, he found there St. Paul the Apostle. Through their preaching, most of the people of Rome believed, so Nero seized Peter and commanded to crucify him. Peter asked them to crucify him head downwards, and he delivered up his soul into the hand of the Lord.

As of St. Paul the Apostle, he was born in Tarsus two years before the advent of the Savior. He was a Jew, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. He was well learned in the Law of the Torah, and he was jealous for it. He persecuted the Christians.

When they stoned St. Stephen, Paul was guarding the clothes of those who were stoning him. He took from Caiaphas, the high priest, letters to the synagogues of Damascus, to bind the Christians and bring them to Jerusalem. As he journeyed, he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Then He ordered him to go to Ananias in Damascus, who baptized him, and he received his sight at once.

He was filled by the grace of the Comforter, and he proclaimed boldly the Faith. He went around in the world preaching of the crucified Christ. He suffered much beatings, imprisonment, and was bound with fetters, some of which are mentioned in the book of the Acts of the Apostles and in his Epistles.

He went to Rome and proclaimed the Faith there and many believed by his hands. He wrote for them the Epistle to the Romans which was the first of his fourteen Epistles.

Finally, Nero seized him, tortured him severely and ordered his head cut off. While St. Paul was passing along with the executioner, he met a damsel who was a kinswoman of the Emperor Nero, and who had believed through him. She walked along with St. Paul, weeping, to where they carried out the sentence. He comforted her and asked her for her veil. He wrapped his head with the veil, and asked her to return back. The executioner cut off his head and left it wrapped in the veil of the young girl, and that

‫استشهاد القديسين الرسولين بطرس وبولس‬ ‫وفطر صوم الرسل‬ ‫ أبيب‬٥ - ‫ يولية‬١٢ ‫في مثل هذا اليوم استشهد القديسان العظيمان‬ ‫ أما بطرس فكان‬. ‫الرسوالن بطرس و بولس‬ ‫من بيت صيدا وكان صيادا فانتخبه الرب‬ ‫ثاني يوم عماده بعد انتخابه ألخيه إندراوس‬ ‫ وكان ذا إيمان حار وغيرة قوية ولما سأل‬. ‫ أجابوا‬. ‫ ماذا يقول الناس عنه‬. ‫الرب التالميذ‬ ‫ « ايليا أو ارميا أو أحد األنبياء « فقال‬: ‫بطرس « أنت هو المسيح ابن هللا « وبعد أن‬ ‫نال نعمة الروح المعزي جال في العالم يبشر‬ ‫بيسوع المصلوب ورد كثيرين إلى اإليمان‬ ‫وقد أجري هللا علي يديه آيات كثيرة وكتب‬ ‫ ولما دخل‬. ‫رسالتين إلى جميع المؤمنين‬ ، ‫رومية وجد هناك القديس بولس الرسول‬ ‫وبكرازتهما آمن أكثر أهل رومية فقبض عليه‬ ‫ فطلب أن يصلبوه‬. ‫نيرون الملك وأمر بصلبه‬ . ‫منكسا وأسلم روحه بيد الرب‬ ‫أما بولس الرسول فقد ولد بطرسوس قبل‬ ‫ وهو من جنس‬، ‫ميالد المخلص بسنتين‬ ‫ فريسي ابن فريسى‬، ‫يهودي من سبط بنيامين‬ ‫وكان عالما خبيرا بشريعة التوراة شديد‬ . ‫الغيرة عليها مضطهدا المسيحيين‬ ‫ولما رجموا اسطفانوس كان يحرس ثياب‬ ‫ وأخذ رسائل من قيافا إلى اليهود‬. ‫الراجمين‬ ‫المتوطنين في دمشق للقبض علي المسيحيين‬ ‫ وبينما هو في طريقه إلى دمشق أشرق‬. ‫عليه نور من السماء فسقط علي األرض‬ ‫ « شاول شاول لماذا‬: ‫وسمع صوتا قائال له‬ ‫ « من أنت‬: ‫ ) « فقال‬4 : 9 ‫تضطهدني (أع‬ ‫ فقال الرب « أنا يسوع الذي أنت‬. « ‫يا سيد‬ ‫ صعب عليك أن ترفس مناخس‬. ‫تضطهده‬ ‫« ثم أمره أن يذهب إلى حنانيا بدمشق وهذا‬ ‫عمده وللحال فتحت عيناه وامتأل من نعمة‬ ‫ وجاهر باإليمان وجال في العالم‬، ‫المعزي‬ ‫وبشر بالمصلوب وناله كثير من الضرب‬ ‫« الحبس والقيود وذكر بعضها في كتاب‬ ‫أعمال الرسل وفي رسائله ثم دخل رومية‬ ‫ونادي باإليمان فأمن علي يديه جمهور كثير‬ ‫ وكتب لهم الرسالة إلى أهل رومية وهي‬. ‫ وأخيرا‬. ‫أولي الرسائل األربع عشرة التي له‬ ‫قبض عليه نيرون وعذبه كثيرا وأمر بقطع‬ ‫ وبينما هو ذاهب مع السياف التقت‬. ‫رأسه‬ ‫به شابه من أقرباء نيرون الملك كانت قد‬ ‫آمنت علي يديه فسارت معه وهي باكية‬ ‫ فعزاها ثم طلب منها‬. ‫إلى حيث ينفذ الحكم‬ ‫القناع ولف به وجهه وأمرها بالرجوع وقطع‬ 67 ‫السياف رقبته وتركه وكان ذلك في سنة‬ ‫م فقابلت الشابة السياف أثناء عودته إلى الملك‬ ‫ « أنه ملقي حيث‬: ‫وسألته عن بولس فأجابها‬ ‫ ورأسه ملفوف بقناعك « فقالت له‬. ‫تركته‬ ‫ « كذبت لقد عبر هو وبطرس وعليهما‬: ‫ثياب ملكية وعلي رأسيهما تاجان مرصعان‬ ‫ وها هو « وأرته إياه‬. ‫بالآللئ وناولني القناع‬ ‫ولمن كان معه فتعجبوا من ذلك وأمنوا بالسيد‬

. ‫المسيح‬ was in the year 67 A.D. God wrought by the hands of Peter and Paul many great ‫وهذا هو اليوم الذي تعيد فبه الكنيسة بفطر‬ signs and wonders, that they even carried the sick out into ‫الرسل ويعمل اللقان بعد رفع بخور باكر فى‬ .‫الخورس الثالث وبمالبس الخدمة‬ the streets ... that as Peter came by ... his shadow might fall ‫نياحة القديس شنودة رئيس املتوحدين‬ on them ... and they were all healed. (Acts 5:15) The hand‫ أبيب‬٧ - ‫ يولية‬١٤ kerchiefs or aprons were brought from Paul’s body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out ‫يف مثل هذا اليوم تنيح األب القديس الناسك األنبا‬ ‫ وقد ولد هذا القديس ببلدة‬. ‫شنوده رئيس املتوحدين‬ of them. The Departure of St. Shenouda (Shenoute), the Archiman- ‫ فكان يرعاها‬. ‫وملا نشأ شنوده سلمه أبوه رعاية الغنم‬ drite. 14th July - 7th Abib ‫ ويظل هو صامئا طول يومه‬، ‫ويعطي غذاءه للرعاة‬ On this day, the ascetic father, St. Shenouda (Shenoute), the ، ‫وأخذه أبوه وميض به إىل خاله األنبا بجال ليباركه‬ Archimandrite, departed. This father was born in the city ‫ « بارك‬: ‫فوضع األنبا بجال يد الصبي عيل رأسه وقال‬ of Shandaweil (Shenalolet) in the district of Akhmim. His ‫عيل أنت ألنك ستصري أبا لجامعة كثرية « وتركه أبوه‬ ‫ ويف ذات يوم سمع صوت من السامء‬. ‫عنده وميض‬ father was a farmer, who owned flocks of sheep.

When Shenouda grew up, his father entrusted him with the ‫ « قد صار شنوده رئيسا للمتوحدين « ومن ذلك‬: ‫قائال‬ care of the sheep. He tended to the sheep, gave his food to ‫الحني صار يجهد نفسه بالنسك الزائد والعبادة الكثرية‬ the shepherd, and he spent his day fasting. His father took ‫وملا تنيح األنبا بجال حل شنوده محله فاتبع نظام‬ him to his uncle Anba Bgoul (Bigal) to bless him. Anba ‫الرشكة الرهبانية الذي وضعه القديس باخوميوس‬ Bgoul laid the boy’s hands on his own head and said, “You ‫وأضاف عليه تعهدا يوقعه الراهب قبل دخوله الدير‬ bless me, my child, for you will be a father for many peo- ‫ راهب وال يزال‬1800 ‫وبلغ عدد الرهبان يف أيامه‬ ples.” His father left him with his uncle and returned home. ‫هذا الدير قامئا حتى اآلن غرب سوهاج يضم كنيسة‬ . ‫ويعرف بدير األنبا بيشوي‬ One day he heard a voice from heaven saying, “Shenouda has become the Archimandrite.” Since that time, he exerted 2200 ‫وبني األنبا شنوده ديرا آخر بلغ عدد رهبانه‬ himself with many worships and intense asceticism. When ‫راهب وما زال حتى اآلن يضم كنيسة ويعرف بدير‬ Anba Bgoul (Bigal) departed, Shenouda replaced him. The number of monks during his days reached 1800 monks. ‫ومقاالته والقوانني التي وضعها ملنفعة الرهبان‬ That monastery, still standing west of the city of Souhag, ‫والرؤساء والعلامنيني رجاال ونساء وقد حرض مجمع‬ has a church and is known as the monastery of Anba Bishoy. ‫املائتني بأفسس مع األب القديس البابا كريلس الرابع‬ Anba Shenouda had built another monastery, the number of ‫والعرشين وبكت نسطور املجدف وعند نياحته طلب‬ its monks reached 2200 monks, which is still standing and ‫ فسجد‬. ‫من تالميذه أن يسندوه حتى يسجد لخالقه‬ ‫ « أستودعكم‬: ‫ثم أوصاهم أن يرتسموا خطاه وقال لهم‬ is known as the monastery of Anba Shenouda. ‫ آمني‬. ‫ صالته تكون معنا‬. ‫الله « و تنيح بسالم‬ Once, an army commander asked Anba Shenouda to lend ‫استشهاد القديس اغناطيوس اسقف انطاكية‬ him his girdle to wear during the war so that God might ‫ىف روما‬ make him victorious. Before his departure, he ‫ « هل أنت‬: ‫اإلميان بالسيد املسيح استحرضه وسأله‬ asked his disciples to support him so that he might worship ‫ « حامل‬: ‫أغناطيوس الثيئوفورس ؟ « فأجابه معناه‬ his creator. He worshiped God and then commanded them ‫ « أتظن أننا ال نحمل آلهتنا لتنرصنا‬: ‫الله « فقال له‬

‫يف الحروب ؟ « فأجابه « كيف تكون التامثيل آلهة ؟ اعلم أنه ال‬ ‫اله إال الله وحده الذي خلق السامء واألرض وابنه يسوع املسيح‬ ‫الذي تجسد ليخلص البرش فلو كنت تؤمن به لكنت يف هذا امللك‬ ‫سعيدا « ‪.‬‬ ‫فحاول اإلمرباطور إغراءه لرتك املسيحية فرفض فاستشاط غضبا‬ ‫وأمر أن يقيد بالسالسل ويؤخذ إىل روما ليلقي للوحوش فبادر‬ ‫أغناطيوس بتقبيل السالسل التي ستكون وسيلة إىل نواله إكليل‬ ‫الشهادة وقد سعي املؤمنون أن يخلصوه بدفع أموال للجند فرفض‬ ‫ألنه كان متعطشا لالستشهاد‪.‬‬ ‫وذهب يف طريقه إىل أزمري وكتب منها رسالة للمسيحيني بروما من‬ ‫فقراتها « أخىش أن تكون محبتكم رضرا فإذا أردتم أن متنعوا املوت‬ ‫عني فال يعرس عليكم ذلك ‪ .‬ولكن ائذنوا يل أن أذبح حيث أعد‬ ‫املذبح ‪ ..‬أنني حنطة ينبغي أن أطحن ألكون خبزا يقدم ليسوع‬ ‫املسيح ‪ ،‬فحيثام ال تعود تشاهدين أعني البرش ‪ ،‬أشاهد أنا ربنا‬ ‫يسوع املسيح « ‪.‬‬ ‫وملا وصل إىل روما طرحوه للوحوش فهجم أسد وأمسكه من عنقه‬ ‫فأسلم القديس الروح بيد الرب ثم تركه األسد وعاد إىل مكانه‬ ‫فحمل بعض املؤمنني جسده بإكرام عظيم إىل مكان أعدوه له يف‬ ‫إنطاكية ‪ ,‬صالته تكون معنا ‪ .‬ولربنا املجد دامئا ‪ .‬آمني‬ ‫القديس العظيم األنبا بيشوي‬ ‫‪ 15‬يولية ‪ 8 -‬أبيب‬ ‫ولد القديس العظيم األنبا بيشوي يف عام ‪ 320‬م يف بلدة شنشنا يف‬ ‫محافظة املنوفية بدلتا مرص وقامت والدته التقية برتبيته – بعد‬ ‫وفاة والده – مع أخوته الستة‪ ،‬وكافئها الله عيل حسن تربيتها لهم‬ ‫بأن أرسل مالكه إليها واختار ابنها بيشوي ليكون خادمأ للرب طول‬ ‫أيام حياته‪ .‬وبيشوي باللغة القبطية معناها «سامي» أو «عادل»‬ ‫وتلقبه الكنيسة يف صلواتها وكتبها وتقليدها ب «الرجل الكامل‬ ‫حبيب مخلصنا الصالح» كام يلقب «بكوكب الربيه»‪.‬‬ ‫ويف عام ‪340‬م‪ ،‬أي وعمره عرشون عاما‪ ،‬ذهب إيل بريه شيهيت‬ ‫باألسقيط حاليا وادي النطرون‪ ،‬وتتلمذ عيل يد القديس األنبا مبوا‬ ‫تلميذ القديس مقاريوس الكبري‪ ،‬وصار أخا روحيا للقديس يوحنا‬ ‫القصري صاحب شجرة الطاعة‪ .‬الذي غرس عصا جافة طاعة ملعلمه‬ ‫األنبا مبوا فنمت وصارت شجرة مثمرة بربكة طاعته‪.‬‬ ‫وعندما تنيح األنبا مبوا ظهر مالك الرب لألنبا بيشوي وأخربه بأن‬ ‫الله يريده أن يسكن منفردا يف املنطقة املجاورة غرب منطقة‬ ‫القديس يحنس القصري ألنه سيصري أباً ومرشدا ً لكثري من الرهبان‪.‬‬ ‫فأطاع األنبا بيشوي وسكن يف مغارة (الزالت موجودة لآلن يف‬ ‫دير القديسة العذراء الشهري بالرسيان)‪ .‬ورسعان ما ُعرف بفضائله‬ ‫فتكونت حوله جامعة رهبانية‪ ،‬فكان بذلك بداية دير القديس‬ ‫العظيم األنبا بيشوي الحايل‪.‬‬ ‫ولشدة محبته ملخلصنا الصالح كان يود أن يواصل حديثه معه‬ ‫يف الصالة والحوار مع الله أطول وقت ممكن‪ ,‬فكان يربط شعر‬ ‫رأسه بحبل مديل من سقف مغارته ألعيل ليك يستيقظ إذا نام‪،‬‬ ‫ويواصل صالته مع حبيبه‪ ،‬لهذا األمر يلقب «حبيب مخلصنا‬ ‫الصالح»‪ .‬ولشدة حالوة الصالة والتأمل يف الله كان ينىس الطعام‬ ‫املادي لعدة أيام مستعيضا عنه بالطعام الروحي من صالة وتأمل‬ ‫وقراءة كلمة الله الحية‪.‬‬ ‫وقد كان كل من يتقابل معه ميتلئ بالسالم والسعادة والطأمنينة‬ ‫‪Abba Bishoy‬‬ ‫ويعود فرحا سعيدا ً حتى انضم إليه جمع غفري بلغ حوايل‪2400‬‬ ‫‪15th July - 8th Abib‬‬ ‫شخص‪ ،‬عاشوا حياة السعادة الدامئة تحت إرشاده‪ ،‬وسكنوا يف‬ ‫مغارات منترشة يف الجبل كام كانوا يحيطون باألنبا بيشوي مثل ‪Anba Bishoy was born in the town of Shesna to‬‬ ‫النحل حول الشهد (كام ورد يف املخطوطات القدمية)‪ .‬وهكذا ‪a family of six children. One day, his mother saw‬‬ ‫تحقق وعد السيد املسيح له عندما ظهر له يف مغارته وقال له أن ‪an angel in a dream, asking her to give one of her‬‬ ‫‪children to the Lord. She was very pleased and left‬‬ ‫الجبل كله سيمتلئ بالعباد تحت إرشاده‪.‬‬ ‫كان عامال نشيطا يأكل من تعب يديه حتى أنه قال لتالميذه ‪the choice to the Lord to pick one of her kids. So,‬‬ ‫«مل أكل طعاما من إنسان ‪ ...‬يا أوالدي أعملوا بأيديكم لتعيشوا ‪the Lord picked Anba Bishoy. His mother was very‬‬ ‫‪to follow his footsteps and told them, “I commit you‬‬ ‫‪to God” then he departed in peace.‬‬ ‫‪May his prayers be with us. Amen.‬‬ ‫‪The Martyrdom of St Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch,‬‬ ‫‪in Rome.‬‬ ‫‪On this day also, St. Ignatius was martyred in Rome‬‬ ‫‪in the year 17 A.D. He was chosen Bishop for Anti‬‬‫‪och, succeeding St. Peter the Apostle, in the year 69‬‬ ‫‪A.D., during the reign of Emperor Trajan. When the‬‬ ‫‪Emperor heard that this Saint had attracted many‬‬ ‫‪by his teachings to believe in the Lord Christ, he‬‬ ‫‪brought him and asked him, “Are you Ignatius the‬‬ ‫‪Theophoros?” He replied, “Yes, I am.” The Emperor‬‬ ‫‪inquired about the meaning of his name. The saint‬‬ ‫‪replied saying, “It means ‘Godbearer.’” The Emper‬‬‫‪or said, “Do you think that we do not carry our gods‬‬ ‫‪to support us in wars?” The Saint answered, “How‬‬ ‫‪can these statues be gods? Listen, there is no God‬‬ ‫‪except the only God that created the Heaven and‬‬ ‫‪Earth, and His Son Jesus Christ who was incarnated‬‬ ‫‪to save mankind. So if you had believed in Him, you‬‬ ‫”‪would be content now in your kingship.‬‬ ‫‪The emperor attempted to persuade him to forsake‬‬ ‫‪Christianity, but he refused. The Emperor was en‬‬‫‪raged, ordered him bound with fetters, and taken to‬‬ ‫‪Rome to be thrown to the beasts. Ignatius responded‬‬ ‫‪by kissing the fetters that would be his means of re‬‬‫‪ceiving the crown of martyrdom. The believers tried‬‬ ‫‪to save him by paying bribes to the soldiers, but he‬‬ ‫‪refused, for he was yearning for martyrdom.‬‬ ‫‪He went on his way to Izmir (Smyrna), where he‬‬ ‫‪wrote a letter to the Christians of Rome that said‬‬ ‫‪in it: “I am afraid that your love may be harmful. If‬‬ ‫‪you wish to prevent my death, that will not be diffi‬‬‫‪cult for you. But allow me to be slaughtered wher‬‬‫‪ever the altar has been prepared .. I am wheat which‬‬ ‫‪must be ground, to make bread, to be offered to Je‬‬‫‪sus Christ. Whenever the people will not behold me‬‬ ‫”‪anymore, I will behold our Lord Jesus Christ.‬‬ ‫‪When he arrived in Rome, they threw him to the‬‬ ‫‪beasts. A lion attacked him and grabbed him by his‬‬ ‫‪neck. The Saint delivered up his soul in the hand of‬‬ ‫‪the Lord. Then the lion released him and went back‬‬ ‫‪to his place, and the believers came and carried his‬‬ ‫‪body with great honor to a place they prepared for‬‬ ‫‪him in Antioch.‬‬ ‫‪May his prayers be with us, and Glory be to God‬‬ ‫‪forever. Amen.‬‬

‫وتجدوا ما تتصدقون به عيل الفقراء»‪.‬‬ ‫ويذكر عنه دفاعه عن اإلميان حيث أنه أنقذ أحد املعلمني من‬ ‫هرطقة دينية دون جرح مشاعره وبطريقة بسيطة حكيمة‪،‬‬ ‫وربحه هو وكل أتباعه‪.‬‬ ‫ومل يكن فقط لطيفا متواضعا رقيق املشاعر ال يجرح مشاعر‬ ‫إنسان مهام كان‪ ،‬بل كان أيضا يحرتم إنسانية الجميع‪ ،‬ويرق‬ ‫قلبه الحنون للفقراء املساكني حتى تلقب بالرجل الكامل‪.‬‬ ‫وبقلب متضع كان يحمل أتعاب تالميذه وضعفاتهم وهو مالزم‬ ‫للصوم ليك ما يقودهم لحياة الجهاد‪ ،‬وكان يداوم الجهاد ليك ما‬ ‫يحفظ الله نفوسهم يف اإلميان‪.‬‬ ‫ومن تواضعه كان يغسل أقدام الغرباء والزائرين دون أن يعرف‬ ‫من هم أو حتى ينظر إيل وجوههم‪ ،‬لذلك ظهر له الرب يسوع‬ ‫كأنه غريب (مثلام ظهر إلبراهيم أيب اآلباء قدميا) وغسل له‬ ‫األنبا بيشوي قدميه الطوباويتني ومل يعرفه إال عندما رأي جراح‬ ‫الصليب يف قدميه‪.‬‬ ‫وتلك هي السمة املميزة لدير األنبا بيشوي التي ال توضح فقط‬ ‫تواضع ومحبة الرهبان لكل الناس بل وأيضا تبني أن التواضع‬ ‫واملحبة الصادقة يجعالن الله قريبا جدا منا‪.‬‬ ‫ومن حنان قلبه الشفوق أنه حمل عجوزا يف الطريق فاكتشف‬ ‫أنه هو السيد املسيح املمجد الذي وعده بأن جسده – أي‬ ‫جسد األنبا بيشوي – الذي حفظه طاهرا‪ ،‬وخدم به كل الناس‪،‬‬ ‫واملحتاجني‪ ،‬وضبطه بالتداريب واملامرسات الروحية سيبقي‬ ‫بدون فساد ألنه حمل الرب يسوع‪ ،‬وفعال مازال جسده باق بال‬ ‫فساد إىل اآلن (وبدون تحنيط)‪.‬‬ ‫ويذكر عنه أنه مل يجرح مشاعر إنسان كان يشورش أثناء وعظ‬ ‫ألنبا بيشوي ألوالده‪ ،‬فلام رأي هذا اإلنسان سعة قلب القديس‬ ‫كف عن الشورشة واعتذر‪.‬‬ ‫كام كان زاهدا يف املال‪ ،‬فرفض ما جاء به أحد األغنياء من ذهب‬ ‫وفضة (إذ أعلمه الله بحيلة الشيطان الذي أراد أن يرصفه عن‬ ‫العبادة) ونصح الرجل الغني أن يرجع بفضته وذهبه ويوزعه‬ ‫عيل الفقراء واملحتاجني لينال بركة الرب‪ .‬وملا انرصف الرجل‬ ‫الغني ورجع األنبا بيشوي لقاليته صاح به الشيطان «آه منك‬ ‫‪ ...‬أنك تفسد جميع حييل بزهدك» فأجابه القديس بإتضاع‬ ‫ومسكنة «منذ أن سقوطك أيها الشيطان والله يفسد جميع‬ ‫حيلك ضد أوالده»‪.‬‬ ‫وكان يحب أوالده الروحيني‪ ،‬ويعاملهم كأب حنون‪ ،‬كام كان‬ ‫يبيك عيل الخطاة مثال أرميا النبي‪ ،‬حتى تلقب باألنبا ييشوي‬ ‫األرامي‪ .‬وظل يجاهد يف الصالة من أجل أحد تالميذه الذي‬ ‫أخطأ حتى رجع وعاد إليه تائبا إىل الله‪.‬‬ ‫وكثريا ما كان يظهر له الرب يسوع لشدة محبته له‪ ،‬وكان‬ ‫يعرف أمورا كثرية بروح النبوة منها أنه عرف مبجيء األنبا افرأم‬ ‫الرسياين من سوريا قبل أن يأيت ليزوره لِام سمعه عن روحانية‬ ‫األنبا بيشوي العظيمة‪ ،‬وقد طلب قديسنا من السيد املسيح‬ ‫أن يعطيه لسانا رسيانيا حتى يتحدث مع الضيف الرسياين‪،‬‬ ‫وقد كان‪.‬‬ ‫وعند هجوم الرببر األول عيل الربية حوايل عام ‪ 407‬م مل يشأ‬ ‫األنبا بيشوي أن يبقى بالدير لئال يقتله أحد الرببر فيهلك‬ ‫الرببري بسببه‪ ،‬فنزح مع مجموعة من رهبانه إيل الصعيد‬ ‫(أنصنا) وتصادق مع األنبا بوال الطموهى وأسس ديرا ً كبريا ً يف‬ ‫بلدة دير الربشا مركز ملوي باق إيل اآلن‪.‬‬ ‫ويف ‪ 15‬يوليو ‪ 417‬م تنيح ودفن يف منية صقر بأنصنا ( عند‬ ‫ملوي حاليا)‪ .‬وبعد ثالثة شهور تنيح القديس األنبا بوال‬ ‫الطموهي يف ‪ 7‬بابة املوافق ‪ 17‬أكتوبر ودفن بجواره حسب‬ ‫رغبتهام‪ ،‬ثم نقل البابا يوساب األول (البطريرك ‪– 830( )52‬‬ ‫‪ 849‬م) جسده الطاهر إيل ديره بوادي النطرون يف ‪ 13‬ديسمرب‬ ‫‪ 841‬م (‪ 4‬كيهك ‪557‬ش)‪.‬‬

‫‪worried because Anba Bishoy was physically very‬‬ ‫‪weak, and she asked the Lord to pick a stronger child‬‬ ‫‪to serve Him; but the angel insisted that Anba Bishoy‬‬ ‫‪was the one the Lord had chosen.‬‬ ‫‪Later in his life Anba Bishoy went to the desert of‬‬ ‫‪Shehet where he took his vows to monastisism and‬‬ ‫‪studied under Anba Bamwa. He devoted his life to‬‬ ‫‪God and prayer until he deserved the appearance of‬‬ ‫‪Jesus Christ.‬‬ ‫‪Anba Bishoy is an Egyptian monk, and Bishoy is a‬‬ ‫‪Coptic name means «elevated». He was known by‬‬ ‫‪his wisdom, strength, modesty, courage, simplicity in‬‬ ‫‪appearance, deep thoughts, calmness and generosity‬‬ ‫‪to strangers. These are the highlights of his character.‬‬ ‫‪King Constantine appeared to him in a dream one‬‬ ‫‪day and told him «If I had known all the honor be‬‬‫‪stowed on the monks, I would have left my kingdom‬‬ ‫‪to become a monk» Anba Bishoy answered by say‬‬‫‪ing: «But you were the one that removed the worship‬‬ ‫‪of idols and Christianity was very prosperous during‬‬ ‫‪your reign, didn›t Jesus give you anything ?»; Con‬‬‫‪stantine answered «Yes a lot, but not the honor of the‬‬ ‫‪monks.‬‬ ‫‪In his days, an old preacher appeared in the mountain‬‬ ‫‪of Ansina. He became so famous for his preaching‬‬ ‫‪that a lot of people gathered around him. It came to be‬‬ ‫‪that he lost his way and the devil misled him until the‬‬ ‫‪point when he denied the Holy Spirit. All this news‬‬ ‫‪reached Anba Bishoy who went to see him taking‬‬ ‫‪with him sacs each having three handles, something‬‬ ‫‪that amazed the old preacher, and he asked Anba‬‬ ‫‪Bishoy the reason for that and he answered «I have a‬‬ ‫‪trinity, and I do everything accordingly», and he start‬‬‫‪ed to explain to the people the words of the Bible until‬‬ ‫‪he convinced them all.‬‬ ‫‪The saint fulfilled his life of flesh and wished he could‬‬ ‫‪see Jesus, and in the middle of that, he got a promise‬‬ ‫‪from God that He will appear to him on the mountain‬‬ ‫‪of Shehet. So, he gathered the monks and told them‬‬ ‫‪the good news. Everyone was filled with joy and they‬‬ ‫‪were waiting for that big event to happen. On the ap‬‬‫‪pointed day, everybody was in a great hurry rushing‬‬ ‫‪to see Jesus. On their way, they passed by man who‬‬ ‫‪was trying to join them but had great difficulty be‬‬‫‪cause of his age; so he stretched out his hand ask‬‬‫‪ing for help, but nobody stopped or even paid him‬‬ ‫‪any attention. When Anba Bishoy passed by him, he‬‬ ‫‪stopped and carried him on his shoulders, gradually‬‬ ‫‪he started to feel that his load was becoming lighter‬‬ ‫‪and lighter, then he realized that the old man was Je‬‬‫‪sus the Lord, the one that everybody ignored. Finally,‬‬ ‫‪he died in peace giving his soul the freedom to go and‬‬ ‫‪live with the one he always wanted to be with, and‬‬ ‫‪that is Jesus Christ.‬‬

the 1st Sunday of the Blessed month of Abib.

Luke 10: 10-20 “And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it” Luke 10:6.

How often do you hear the good news of the heavenly kingdom through the words of one of God’s servants … how many times do you receive this message by every possible means … and how many times you hear the many warnings against sinful behaviour we live in … whether directly or indirectly and either this words are given in advice and instructions or as a warning and rebuke … or indirectly by seeing the end of those who practice and live in such sinful ways … and what is your reaction to all these warnings … do you shrug your shoulders and say; it is only words?? It is only preaching … just words which we hear a lot … do you think that God has sent His servants to you; only to utter words in the wind … for simple pleasures or passing of time … It is truly sad that you hear a lot but you observe non and do not care as if the word were not meant for you … and even worse that you sometime ignore God’s word and continue in the sinful ways … True, God’s servants are lambs among wolves … they were not given sharp teeth to devour the wolves and they carry no weapons, sack nor any provisions … indeed they only possess the quite sound of peaceful lambs … but these peaceful lambs carry with them the powerful word of God which never returns empty handed … The word of God is capable of removing the sharp teeth of the wolves and to change it’s ferocious nature but wow to those wolves who insist on being wolves.

Sodom in all it’s sinful ways will have a more bearable status on judgement day … there are those who deserve the word of God … and there are those who refuse the warnings, rebuke and advice … and there are those who shut their eyes not to see God’s work … to all those; the Lord instructs His servants to “The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you” … how fearful is their judgement which they face!

And you, what is your status?? Do you accept the good news of the kingdom of heavens?? Or do you keep your eyes shut to the glories of God like Bethsaida?? Is your heart is haughty and full of self-righteousness similar to Capernaum?? + “The very dust of your city which clings to us, we wipe off against you” How dreadful for man’s heart to become hardened and refuses God’s word and for man to be driven by his lusts … one of those who refused (God’s word) is Jeroboam king of Israel who God allowed him the kingship over 10 tribes of Israel, but he led them away from God … and built altars for strange (idol) gods and led them (the Israelites) to idol worship refusing all the warnings from the prophets … one day Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense. 2 Then at the LORD’s command, he shouted, “O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David.

‫كم مرة تسمع بشارة امللكوت عىل فم خدام الله‬ ‫ كم مرة تصل هذه الكلمة اليك بكل وسيلة‬٠٠ ‫ كم مرة تسمع تحذيرات متعددة عىل‬.. ‫ممكنة‬ ‫ سواء بطريق مبارش عن‬.. ‫الخطايا التى تعيش فيها‬ .. ‫طريق النصح واالرشاد أو رمبا عن طريق التوبيخ‬ ‫أو بطريق غري مبارش بأن ترى عمليا نهاية ومصري‬ ‫الذين يسلكون ويعيشون ىف مثل تلك الخطايا‬ ‫ هل تقف‬.. ‫ ما هو رد فعلك لهذه التحذيرات‬.. ‫وتهز كتفيك وتقول أما هو كالم ؟؟ أو أنه مجرد‬ ‫ هل تعتقد‬.. ‫ مجرد كالم كثريا ما تسمعه‬.. ‫وعظ‬ ‫أن الله أرسل خدامه لك ملجرد أن يلقوا كالما ىف‬ ‫ أنه لىشء‬.. ‫ ملجرد التسلية وقضاء الوقت‬.. ‫الهواء‬ ‫محزن حقا أنك تستمع كثريا وال تباىل وال تهتم كأن‬ ‫ بل االسوأ أنك أحيانا تتجاهل‬.. ‫الكالم ليس لك‬ ‫ صحيح أن خدام‬.. ‫كلمة الله وتستمر ىف رشورك‬ ‫ مل يعطهم الله‬.. ‫الله هم حمالن وسط الذئاب‬ ‫أنيابا يفرتسون بها الذئاب بل ال يحملون سالحا وال‬ ‫ أنهم حقا ال ميلكون سوى صوت‬.. ‫كيسا وال مزودا‬ ‫ ولكن هذه الحمالن‬.. ‫الحمالن الهادىء املسامل‬ ‫تحمل معها كلمة الله القوية التى ال تعود فارغة‬ ‫ كلمة الله القادرة أن تخلع أنياب الذئاب‬.. ‫أبدا‬ ‫ ولكن ويل لتلك الذئاب‬.. ‫وتغري طبعها الوحىش‬ .. ‫التى ترص أن تبقى ذئابا‬ ‫أن سدوم بكل رشها سيكون لها حالة أكرث أحتامال‬ ‫ هناك من يستحق كلمة الله‬.. ‫ىف يوم الدينونة‬ ‫ وهناك من يرفض التحذير ويستنكر التوبيخ‬.. ‫ لكل‬.. ‫ وهناك من يغمض عينيه عن عمل الله‬.. ‫هؤالء يوىص الرب خد امه أن ينفضوا حتى الرتاب‬ ‫ وما أصعب‬.. ‫الذى لصق بأحذيتهم ىف شوارعهم‬ .. ‫الدينونة الرهيبة التى سوف يتعرضون لها‬ ‫وأنت ما هو موقفك ؟؟ هل ال تقبل بشارة امللكوت‬ ‫؟؟ هل تغمض عينيك عن عظائم الله مثل بيت‬ ‫صيدا ؟؟ هل قلبك مرتفع وميألك الرب الذاىت مثل‬ ‫كفرناحوم ؟ ؟‬ ‫ حتى الغبار الذى لصق بنا من‬+ ‫مدينتكم ننفضه لكم‬ ‫ما اصعب أن يتقىس قلب االنسان ويرفض كلمة‬ .. ‫الله وينساق وراء شهواته الخاصة‬ ‫ومن هؤالء الرافضني يربعام ملك أرسائيل الذى‬ ‫أقامه الله ملكا وأعطاه عرشة أسباط من أرسائيل‬ .. ‫ ولكنه أزاغ قلبهم بعيدا عن الله‬.. ‫ليملك عليها‬ ‫وبنى لهم مذابح غريبة وحولهم اىل عبادة االوثان‬ ‫ وىف يوم تقدم‬.. ‫متجاهال ورافضا أنذارات االنبياء‬ ‫يربعام اىل أحد تلك املذابح ليوقد وأذا نبى قد أىت‬ ‫من يهوذا ونادى نحو املذبح قائال يامذبح يامذبح‬ ‫هكذا قال الرب هوذا سيولد لبيت داود أبن أسمه‬

On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.” 3 That same day the man of God gave a sign to prove his message. He said, “The LORD has promised to give this sign: This altar will split apart, and its ashes will be poured out on the ground.”

4 When King Jeroboam heard the man of God speaking against the altar at Bethel, he pointed at him and shouted, “Seize that man!” But instantly the king’s hand became paralysed in that position, and he couldn’t pull it back” the king asked the man of God to pray for him and his arm was healed … but he refused to enter the king’s house or eat bread because the Lord had instructed him not eat bread or drink water in this land and to return from a different road that he came from.

The rest of this amazing story; is this prophet in on his way back, listened to another prophet who invited him to rest and eat in his house and he did and as result on his way back he was attacked and killed by a lion (1st Kings 13: 1-29) … and all the prophecies were fulfilled … and God demolished the house of Jeroboam the evil from Israel because he refused to accept the word of God and his warnings.

The church history tells us of the end of Arius the heretic who denied the divinity of the Lord Jesus and claimed that He (Jesus) was not one with Father …. For Arius refused all the advice and guidance even when the ecumenical council attended by 318 bishops exiled, condemned and ex-communicated him, he still went on his way insisting on his heresy … he even managed with his cunning attitude to win many of the rulers and some bishops … and he even succeeded in convincing the emperor, to issue a decree to exile St Athanasius the apostolic under the pretence that Pope Athanasius refused the exportation of wheat to Constantinople … and indeed the emperor had exiled him (St Athanasius) to Treves in France and thus the way was clear for him (Arius) to convince the emperor through hi friend in the palace the he has repented and now he has an orthodox belief … the emperor believed him and sent a letter to Alexandros bishop of Constantinople to accept Arius, who in turn refused since he was ex-communicated by an ecumenical council but the emperor was insisting in his orders and it became a problem?? So Alexandros met with Anba Jacob bishop of Nusaybin, who both prayed nonstop from Friday till Saturday 3:00pm when Arius was intending to enter the church at this hour … and indeed Arius went out in great procession and very proud of his triumphant return and at 3:00 pm he felt a stomach-ache which made him go to a public convenience place where his intestines poured out of him and died … how many times some insist on sinful habits … it is rather strange that no one does not know how harmful is smoking … even, that we every day hear and read advisements about how harmful is smoking on the smoker and others but it is on every packet of cigarettes a warning that smoking is bad for your health and soon these warning will take half of the packet … however, we still see the number of smokers increasing and the prophets of tobacco companies is increasing … this gives you an image of a man who refuses warning and continues in his way of destruction.

‫يوشيا ويذبح عليك كهنة املرتفعات الذين‬ ‫يوقدون عليك وتحرق عليك عظام الناس‬ ‫ هوذا املذبح ينشق‬.. ‫ وهذه هى العالمة‬.. ‫ وأنزعج يربعام ومد‬.. ‫ويذرى الرماد الذى فيه‬ ‫يده قائال أمسكوه فتيبست يده ىف الحال‬ ‫ صىل من أجله رجل‬.. ‫ومل يستطع أن يردها‬ ‫ ورفض النبى أن‬.. ‫الله فرجعت يده سليمة‬ ‫يدخل اىل بيت امللك ويأكل خبزا الن الرب‬ ‫أوصاه أن ال يأكل خبزا وال يرشب ماء ىف ذلك‬ ‫املكان بل يعود ىف طريق آخر غري الذى ذهب‬ ‫ وبقية هذه القصة عجيبة الن النبى‬.. ‫منه‬ ‫نفسه سمع رجاء نبى آخر ودخل وأكل ىف‬ ‫بيته وبسبب ذلك عند عودته هجم عليه أسد‬ ‫ وتحقق كالم‬٠٠ ))١٣ ١٣ ‫وقتله ( ملوك االول‬ ‫النبى بالكامل‬ ‫ وقطع الله بيت يربعام الرشيرالذى رفض‬٠ ٠ .. ‫أن يقبل كلمة الله وأنذاراته‬ ‫ويحىك لنا تاريخ الكنيسة عن نهايه أريوس‬ ‫املبتدع الذى أنكرالهوت الرب يسوع وأدعى‬ ‫ فلقد رفض أريوس‬.. ‫أنه غري مساوى لالب‬ ‫كل مشورة وكل رأى حتى حكم املجمع‬ ‫ أسقف و أدانه‬٣١٨ ‫املسكوىن الذى حرضه‬ ‫ ومىض ىف طريقه مرصا عىل‬.. ‫ونفى أريوس‬ ‫ وأستطاع بدهائه أن يضم اىل صفه‬.. ‫بدعته‬ .. ‫الكثري من الحكام وبل أيضا بعض االساقفة‬ ‫وىف وقت من االوقات أستطاع هو وأعوانه أن‬ ‫يستصدروا أمرا من االمرباطور بنفى القديىس‬ ‫أثناسيوس الرسوىل وكانت التهمة هى أن البابا‬ ‫أثناسيوس مينع تصدير الغالل من مرص اىل‬ ‫ وفعال نفاه االمرباطور اىل‬.. ‫القسطنطينية‬ ‫ وخىل الجو ألريوس الذى‬.. ‫تريف ىف فرنسا‬ ‫سعى بو اسطة حلفاءه من الحكام لدى‬ ‫االمرباطور ليعفو عنه مدعيا أنه قد تاب و أن‬ ‫ وصدق االمرباطور ذلك وأ رسل‬.. ‫اميانه سليم‬ ‫اىل الكسندروس أسقف القسطنطينية بأمره‬ ‫بقبول أريوس ورغم رفض الكسندروس لقبول‬ ‫أريوس الذى حرمه مجمع مسكوىن اال ان‬ ‫أوامر االمرباطور كانت مشددة وحار ىف االمر‬ ‫ ماذ ا يفعل ؟؟ وأجتمع مع االنبا يعقوب‬.. ‫أسقف نصيبني وأخذا يصليان كالهام من يوم‬ ‫الجمعة حتى الساعة الثالثة من بعد ظهر‬ ‫السبت حني كان أريوس مزمعا دخول الكنيسة‬ ‫ وفعال خرج أريوس ىف‬.. ‫ىف مساء ذلك اليوم‬ ‫موكب كبري متشامخا مزهوا بأنتصاره وأذا‬ ‫به عند الساعة الثالثة يشعر مبغص شديد‬ ‫يدفعه اىل دخول أحد املراحيض العامة حيث‬ ‫أندلقت أمعائه وأنطرح عىل االرض رصيعا‬ ‫ كم مرة تتعمد عىل االستمرار ىف عاداتك‬.. ‫ من األشياء العجيبة أنه اليوجد‬.. ‫الرشيرة‬ ‫ بل ىف كل‬.. ‫شخص اليعرف أن التدخني مرض‬ ‫يوم نسمع ونرى ونقرأ عن اعالنات عن مضار‬

Again, there are those who refuse the advice and refuse to fulfil God’s commandment because of their personal honour … for his personal honour (pride) refuses to admit one’s sin … his pride will not allow him to apologise and will not allow him to retract his words … and his pride will not allow him to deal with such people … and thus many excuses because of honour … it appears this person is saying his honour is more important than the heavenly kingdom … but, there are those who refuse because they still love the life of sin … poor is this man … he thinks the bitterness of his life and the eating the pods that the swine ate; is sweater than everything else … poor is this man, because he has not tasted the life with Lord Jesus … the life of purity and righteousness … strange is this man who describes bitterness honey … Indeed he has not tasted the true honey yet. + Woe to you, Bethsaida Bethsaida is the house of hunting (the town of hunting) … is a small village on the sea of Galilee and it is the town of Andrew, Peter and Philip … in the same town the Lord Jesus cured the blind man (Mark 8:22) and this specific miracle the Lord asked this man not to tell anyone in the village … without any doubt the Lord Jesus has performed many miracles in this village … but it appears that they were doubting or in-attentive … and maybe the accusation that the Lord Jesus is casting out devils by Beelzebub … the people of Bethsaida had hardened hearts, they saw the miracles of God before their eyes which cannot be denied but they still did not believe … but they even blasphemed against it … for this the Lord Jesus has waned them “ For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago” which were not towns of Israel … for they were towns which caused many problems to the Israelites and they were even responsible for pagan worship in Israel and many time they cooperated with Israel’s enemies … but despite there sinful ways, they were willing and open hearted to the word of God, even there were no miracles of God done in these towns (see psalm 3:28 & Luke 6:17).

And truly Tyre became a Christian community in beginning of the apostolic era (Acts 21: 3-4) and thus the pagans became Christians before the Jews!

Are you like Bethsaida which sees the powers of miracles and do not believe?? How many grat things has the Lord did in your life?? How many great thing the Lord does with you every day … don’t you see the Lord has chosen you before others … you belong to a church which is rich with a history of saints, martyrs and great miracles … despite all this, you differ not in your actions to those who belong to communities which has no history or strong roots like you … you still do they do … but sometime even worse and have taken their sinful habits … so, you now consume alcohols like them and you have taken dance and song like them but you imi-

‫التدخني عىل املدخنني وغري املدخنني بل أنه يوجد عىل‬ .. ‫كل علبة سجائر تحذير بأن التدخني ضار بالصحة‬ ‫وقريبا سوف تزداد مساحة هذا التحذير ليشمل نصف‬ ‫ كل هذا ونجد أن عدد املدخنني‬.. ‫مساحة العلبة نفسها‬ .. ‫ىف إزدياد وأرباح رشكات السجائر ىف أرتفاع مضطرد‬ ‫هذا يعطيك صورة لالنسان الذى يرفض كل تحذير‬ ‫ وهناك من‬.. ‫وكل انذار يستمر ىف طريقه اىل الهالك‬ ‫يرفض النصيحة ويرفض تنفيذ وصية الله بسبب كرامته‬ .. ‫ فكرامته التسمح له أن يعرتف بخطأه‬.. ‫الشخصية‬ ‫وكرامته ال تسمح له باالعتذار وكرامته ال تسمح له‬ ‫ وكرامته التسمح له بان يتعامل مع‬.. ‫بالرجوع ىف كالمه‬ .. ‫ وهكذا أعذار الكرامة كثرية جدا‬.. ‫مثل هؤالء الناس‬ ‫ولسان حال هذا االنسا ن يقول أ ن كرامته أفضل من‬ ‫ وهناك من يرفض النه مازال يحب‬.. ‫ملكوت السموات‬ ‫ يظن أن املرارة‬.. ‫ مسكني هذا االنسا ن‬.. ‫حياة الخطية‬ ‫التى يعيش فيها وأن خرنوب الخنازير الذ ى ياكله هو‬ ‫ مسكني النه مل يذق طعم الحياة مع الرب‬.. ‫أحىل ىشء‬ ‫ عجبا لالنسان يصف‬... ‫ حياة الرب والنقاوة‬.. ‫يسوع‬ .. ‫ أنه حقا مل يذق بعد طعم العسل‬.. ‫املرارة أنها عسال‬ . ‫ ويل لك يا بيت صيدا‬+ ‫ هى قرية صغرية عىل‬.. ) ‫ بيت صيدا (أى مدينة الصياد‬. .. ‫ وهى مدينة أندراوس وبطرس وفيليس‬.. ‫بحرالجليل‬ ) ٢٢ ٢٢:: ٨ ‫وفيها شفى الرب يسوع االنسان االعمى ( مر‬ ‫وىف هذه املعجزة بالذات طلب الرب من هذا االنسان‬ ‫ وبالشك كان للرب يسوع‬.. ‫أن ال يقل الحد ىف القرية‬ ‫ ولكن يبدو‬.. ‫معجزات كثرية ىف هذه القرية بالذات‬ ‫انهم مل يكونو ا يهتمون أو كانوا متشككني ىف كل ىشء‬ ‫ ورمبا منهم من خرج التهام الرب يسوع أنه ببعلزبول‬.. ‫ أهاىل بيت صيدا‬.. ‫رئيس الشياطني يخرج الشياطني‬ ‫ يرون عجائب الله التى ال تنكر‬.. ‫كانوا غالظ القلب‬ .. ‫ بل ويجدفون عليها‬.. ‫وسطهم ورغم ذلك ينكرونها‬ ‫ فأ نه لو صنعت ىف صور‬.. ‫ولذلك أنذرهم الرب يسوع‬ ‫ ومدينتى‬.. ‫وصيدا القوات املصنوعة فيها لتابتا قدميا‬ ‫ فهى مدن‬.. ‫صور وصيدا مل يكونان من مدن أرسائيل‬ ‫وثنية وكثربا ما كانوا سبب متا عب كثرية لليهود‬ ‫وتسببوا ىف أدخال العبادات الوثنية اىل أرسائيل ومرات‬ ‫ ورغم رشورهم لكن‬.. ‫عديدة تعاونوا مع أعداء أرسائيل‬ ‫كان عندهم أستعداد وقلب مفتوح لسامع كلمة الله‬ ٢٨ : ٣ ‫رغم أنه مل تصنع فيها أى عجائب ( أنظر مزمور‬ ‫ وفعال قد تحولت صور اىل املسيحية ىف‬.. ) ١٧ : ٦ ‫لو‬، ‫ ) وسبق الوثنيني‬٤ : ٣ : ٢١ ‫أوائل العرص الرسوىل ( أع‬ .. ‫اليهود ىف الدخول للمسيحية‬ ‫هل أنت مثل بيت صيدا ترى القوات والعجائب‬ ‫وال تؤمن ؟؟ كم من عظائم صنعها الرب ىف حياتك‬ ‫ اال ترى أن‬.. ‫؟؟ كم من عظائم صنعها معك كل يوم‬ ‫ فانت تنتمى اىل كنيسة‬.. ‫الرب قد ميزك عن غريك‬ ‫لها تاريخها مىلء بسري القديسني والشهداء والقوات‬ ‫ ورغم ذلك فاًنك تكاد ال تختلف سريتك‬.. ‫والعجائب‬ ‫وترصفاتك من سرية هؤالء الذين ينتمون اىل جامعات‬ ‫ليس لها تاريخ وليس لها جذور وأثار عميقة مثلك‬ ‫ وأحيانا أسوأ منهم بل أنك‬.. ‫ مازلت تفعل مثلهم‬..

You boast that you are the son of saints and martyrs … you are proud that your great fathers are St Mark, Anba Anthony father of monasticism, St Athanasius the apostolic and St Cyril the pillar of faith, you boast of your past and present but where are you in all this … what is your action and record?? What is your life?? + And you, Capernaum … will be brought down to Hades Capernaum … (the village of naum) is a village on the west northern side of the sea of Galilee … the Lord Jesus lived in it for a long time and did many miracles … like curing the son of the centurion and curing Peters motherin-law, the paralysed man and the feeding of multitudes and the Lord preached many sermons in its famous synagogue and from it’s treasury He (the Lord) called Matthew to follow Him … Despite all the Lord’s services, preaching’s, sermons and miracles in it; their inhabitants did not believe. For this the Lord prophesized of its total destruction … This town currently there is nothing but ruins and artefacts and was totally destroyed … Capernaum represents the self-righteousness … the boastful person in himself (or herself) thinking he is better than others and fully convinced that he is righteous and has no need to change anything, no matter what happens around him of miracles and wonders or hearing sermons and teachings … Capernaum was almost the Lord Jesus’s town and where He lived but its people were the most refusing of Him and His teachings … Capernaum put it self in heavens but in reality it went to the bottom of hades … Are you like Capernaum?? With your self-righteousness; you think you know it all and learned … you think you have achieved the highest degrees (of knowledge) and you are no need of anyone to teach you anything … all what is said you know before hand and all the happens around you, you have seen before … is your heart hardened … have you shut your eyes and you refuse to repent from your sins … Be careful, lest you are on your way to hades while you think that you are in heavens … Return to your self and inspect within …. Are you blinded with haughtiness and self-righteousness which made you see nothing …? And thus, you ignore the words of God but ignore God Himself … Be very careful He who hears you hears Me … he who rejects you rejects Me … and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me. Today if you hear His voice, do not harden you hearts … nothing pleases Satan in you more than hardened heart and nothing conquers Satan and make him fall like lightening from the skies like a soft (humble) heart with its simplicity and joy and accepting God’s word like a willing heart joyful in God’s commandments … But your heart will be even more joyful because your names is written heavens …

‫ فرصت ترشب‬.. ‫أقتبست منهم عاداتهم الرشيرة‬ ‫الخمور مثلهم ورصت ترقص وتغنى مثلهم ورصت‬ ‫تقلدهم ىف مالبسهم الخليعة حفالتهم غري الالئقة‬ ‫ تفخر أن منها قد‬.. ‫ أنك رصت مثل بيت صيدا‬.. ‫خرج بطرس وأندراوس وفيلبس ولكن حياتهم أبعد‬ ‫ أنك تفخر بأنك‬.. ‫ما تكون عن سرية هؤالء الرسل‬ ‫ أنك تفخر بأن من‬.. ‫من أبناء القديسني والشهداء‬ ‫آباءك العظام القديس مارمرقس و القديس االنبا‬ ‫أنطونيوس أب الرهبان والقديس أثناسيوس الرسوىل‬ ‫والقديس كريلس عامود الدين أنك تفخر بتاريخك‬ ‫ ولكن أين أنت من هذا‬.. ‫وأصولك املاضية الحارضة‬ ‫ ما هى سريتك ؟؟ ما هى حياتك ؟؟‬.. ‫كله‬ ‫ وأنت ياكفر ناحوم ستهبطني اىل الهاوية‬+ ‫ (أى قرية نوحوم ) هى قرية واقعة‬.. ‫كفر ناحوم‬ ‫عىل الشاطىء الشامىل الغرىب لبحر‬ ‫ صنع‬.. ‫ أقام فيها الرب يسوع مدة طويلة‬.. ‫الجليل‬ ‫ مثل شفاء غالم قائد املئة‬.. ‫بها معجزات عديدة‬ ‫ وشفاء حامة بطرس واملفلوج وفيها صنع الرب‬.. ‫ والقى مواعظ عديدة ىف‬.. ‫معجزة أشباع الجموع‬ ‫مجمعها املشهور وفيها دعا متى من مكان الجباية‬ ‫ ومع كل خدمة الرب فيها وتعاليمه ومعجزاته مل‬.. ‫يؤمن سكانها ولذلك تنباً لها الرب بخرابها الكامل‬ ‫ وهذه املدينة حاليا مل يبقى منها سوى االطالل‬.. ‫ كفر ناحوم متثل الرب‬.. ‫واآلثار وقد خربت بالكامل‬ ‫ االنسان املنتفخ ىف نفسه ويظن أنه أعظم‬.. ‫الذاىت‬ ‫من اآلخربن املقتنع متاما بأرائه وليس عنده أستعداد‬ ‫لتغري ىشء مهام صنع حوله من معجزات ومهام‬ ‫ أن كفر ناحوم صارت‬.. ‫سمع من عظات وتعاليم‬ ‫كام ولو كانت هى مدينة الرب يسوع ومكان إقامته‬ ‫ لقد‬.. ‫ورغم ذلك فهم أكرث الناس رفضا له ولتعليمه‬ ‫كانت كفر ناحوم ىف داخلها مرتفعة اىل السامء ولكن‬ ‫ هل‬.. ‫ىف واقعها منحطة اىل أسفل الجحيم والهاوية‬ ‫أنت مثل كفر ناحوم ؟؟ بربك الذاىت تظن أنك متعلم‬ ‫ تظن أنك قد وصلت اىل أعىل‬.. ‫وتعرف كل ىشء‬ ‫ فكل ما‬.. ‫الدرجات ومل تعد محتاجا أن يعلمك أحد‬ ‫يقال أنت تعرفه مقدما وكل مايصنع حولك قد رأيت‬ ‫ وأغلقت عينيك‬.. ‫ لقد غلظ قلبك‬.. ‫مثله من قبل‬ ‫ أحذر لئال تكون ىف‬.. ‫وال تريد أن تتوب عن رشورك‬ ‫الطريق اىل الهاوية بينام أنت تظن أنك مرتفع اىل‬ ‫ لقد‬.. ‫ أرجع اىل نفسك وفتش ىف داخلك‬.. ‫السامء‬ .. ‫أعامك الكربياء والرب الذاىت وجعلك ال ترى شيئا‬ .. ‫وها قد رصت ترذل كلمة الله بل ترذل الله ذاته‬ ‫ و الذى‬.. ‫أحذر جدا فالذى يسمع منكم يسمع منى‬ ‫ والذى يرذلنى يرذل الذى أرسلنى‬.. ‫يرذلكم يرذلنى‬ ‫ ليس‬.. ‫ اليوم أن سمعتم صوته ال تقسوا قلوبكم‬.. ‫ىشء يفرح الشيطان فيك مثل غالظة القلب وليس‬ ‫ىشء يدحر الشيطان ويجعله يسقط مثل الربق من‬ ‫السامء مثل لني القلب وبساطته وفرحه وقبوله‬ ‫لكلمة الله مثل هذا القلب املستعد العامل بوصايا‬ ‫ سوف يفرح أكرث الن أسامؤكم قد كتبت‬.. ‫الله بفرح‬ .. ‫ىف السامء‬

The understanding of the marital union: Emotional union The Sermon of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II in Wednesday’s meeting 22-6-2022 Translated by Dr Marian Fouad

God pours affection into man, thus it‘s a sacred thing God puts in man during throughout his journey. The child‘s eyes meet those of his mother while she embraces him, breastfeeds him, and sleeps next to him, thus forming an affection for the child towards his mother.

The same applies to the father who cuddles him and brings him what he loves, so his affection for his father grows, feeling that his father and mother are the whole life. Then he grows up and joins nursery and then school, and begins to be independent from them little by little. After that he reaches adolescence his inclination begins towards the opposite sex, which is A blessing from God placed in the human heart. In sociology, they call this emotion ”general heterosexuality“, meaning that it is not directed towards a specific person, but towards the opposite sex in general, and the attentive boy and girl keep this strong emotion in their hearts, so it is the most valuable thing they can offer to the future partner.

As the young lady or young man matures, the scope of general emotion gets narrow until it is concentrated in only one person in whom the young man sees that this is the right lady for him, and she the same, which is called the stage of ”emotional maturity“.

Acceptance and admiration happen, then with prayers and with counseling, and taking the time to know the other party the connection and relationship begins. But if it happened that the young man had wast- ed his affection before the engagement, he would not find anything to offer the lady with whom he would one day be associated, so he would be like a young man travelling in the tram, and every two or three stops he cuts a banknote into pieces to throw it from the tram window. You see that he is a crazy person who does not appreciate the value of money, this simple example of a young man or lady who have early meaningless relationships, and this explains the reason for the quarrels and separation that may happen between the spouses after being loving each other, because there is a so- called vessel of feelings, when the heart is filled with feelings, it has Precious treasure to give to his partner, and a heart filled with that pure emotion is more valuable than all material gifts of gold and other things. The Apostle Paul recommends his disciple Tim- othy, who was a young man, saying: ”Keep yourself pure“)1( and the same thing applies to the young man and woman who go to monasticism or consecration, where their vessel of feelings is filled towards God. The word love in Arabic ”Hob“ is made up of two letters, so let‘s say that the ”h“ for ”Hayat“ i.e life, and the ”b“ for ”Bakaa“ i.e survival - meaning that love is the survival of life, without love there is no life. And the Bible mentioned the word love more than 250 times. And the bible book which talks about the mature love is the book of Solomon ”Song of the songs“, which talks about love, displaying the sole love of Christ for the human soul.

There are five needs for every human being: biological, that is, physical, psychological, mental, social, and spiritual. Phys- ical needs such as food, drink, clothing and housing... Psychological: such as the need for encouragement, safety, freedom, love and containment, whether from family or friends. Mental needs: through reading, traveling, learning... Social needs: Every person needs a community to which he be- longs: a homeland, a school, a university, a syndicate... And finally, spiritual needs: A person needs God. In the books of psycho- logical studies they say that it is a need for the absolute, for immortality. But what is the most important of these needs? After many studies, they said that the most important of these needs is the need for love, which is the key. When God saw man drowning in his sins, he came down to complete the redemption for all mankind, and says: ”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life“)2(, because he knows that the key to the man‘s heart is love. ”God so loved the world“: for all

human beings everywhere, in all ages.

Therefore, young man and woman, when you begin to establish a holy family, your affection must be perfect, mature and pure. In the holy crowning, the priest prays: ”Fill their hearts with spiritual love.“ There are types of love, the most famous of which are three: the love of lust, which begins and ends very quickly. The second love is ”Philo“ love, which is social love, and it involves love for work, place or homeland. The third type is spiritual love, which is what is meant in the litanies of the crowning, the love that is on the level of Christ‘s love for the church: ”Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless”)3( wrinkle meaning that the Church of Christ will re- main young. Likewise, the spouses remain young, even if they grow old and their children grow older, but their image for each other remains youthful, and their love for each other is strong and grows stronger day by day.

Love is the art of making the other hap- py, and it is just with words that quickly evaporate into the air. The most important features of the art of making others happy is that there should be no selfishness. So, I advise you not to marry if you are selfish, and not even to apply for dedication or monasticism, but watch out for yourself. True love is in making the other happy. However, the love of Eros, the love of philo, and the love we see on TV, is commercial love. Keep your feelings pure as long as you in- tend to establish a Christian holy house on the basis that ”two is better than one“)4( , and that ”the threefold thread is not quickly broken“)5(, because the marriage bond is a triple bond; Her, him and Christ, the three together, so that Christ is the center of life. In a Christian marriage, the partner realizes that he receives his partner from the hand of Christ Himself, so their value is very pre- cious for each other.

In the Book of song of the songs, the bridegroom says to the bride: ”Show me your face, let me hear your voice“)6(, so with your wife, you like to see her and hear her voice, so you exchange mutual affection. They say that a beloved face is desirable. Beware, then, of those who distort the value of the family, for the Christian family is based on: ”The satisfied soul tramples on honey“)7(, for the soul filled with love rejects any temptation.

Begin with emotional estab- lishment, and unite with true pure love.

And let‘s discuss four things that are the most valuable gifts expressing love: 1 - The first gift is time: the most precious gift you can give to someone is to sit to talk with him, and it is a real need, so that when God created Adam, he said: It is not good for Adam to be alone, but I cre- ate for him a helper similar to him to talk to him)8(, because he used to live with animals, so he does not exchange conversations With anyone. From his bones he created Eve, who had the same wisdom of mind as Adam to speak with him. So watch out for what steals time because it steals your life! Instead of sitting with your fiancée, wife or children every day to talk about all matters, playing or talking on your smartphone or being preoccupied with it becomes a barrier that makes a person lose focus with his family and children.

2The second gift is the words of encouragement: the words of sharing, the words of joy, and the avoidance of hurtful words that do more harm than bullets.

3The third gift is a form of expression of love which is gifts: not by their value or form, but by what the person likes. Simple, beau- tiful gifts are not evaluated by their price but as much as they carry of tender feelings.

4And finally, the fourth gift is pleasant surprises: even if it is small, it may be a trip, a picnic... Surprises refresh life.

Therefore, through emotional union, trust is built, and trust requires honesty, clar- ity, appreciation and tenderness, longing for the other and preoccupation with the other.

‫مفهوم االتحاد الزيجي‪ :‬االتحاد العاطفي‬ ‫‪2022‬م‪ ،‬من الكاتدرائية المرقسية باإلسكندرية‬ ‫عظة األربعاء ‪ 22‬يونيو ‪2022‬م‪،‬‬ ‫قداسة البابا تواضروس الثانى‬ ‫‪ 01‬يوليه ‪ 24 - 2022‬بؤونه ‪ 1738‬ش‬ ‫يسكب هللا العاطفة في اإلنسان‪ ،‬ولذا فهي شيء مقدس يضعه هللا في اإلنسان أثناء رحلته‪ ،‬فالطفل تتالقى‬ ‫عيناه مع عيني أمه وهي تحتضنه‪ ،‬ترضعه‪ ،‬تنام بجواره‪ ،‬فتتكون عاطفة عند الطفل تجاه أمه‪ .‬وهكذا‬ ‫بالنسبة لألب الذي يداعبه ويحضر له ما يحبه‪ ،‬فتنمو عاطفته تجاه أبيه‪ ،‬شاعرً ا أن أباه وأمه هما كل الحياة‪،‬‬ ‫قلياًل ً‬ ‫ثم يكبر فيلتحق بالحضانة ثم المدرسة‪ ،‬ويبدأ في االنفصال عنهما ً‬ ‫قلياًل‪ ،‬حتى إذا ما بلغ سن المراهقة‬ ‫بدأ ميله تجاه الجنس اآلخر‪ ،‬وهي نعمة من هللا وضعها في قلب اإلنسان‪ .‬هذه العاطفة يس ّمونها في علم‬ ‫االجتماع "الجنسية الغيرية العامة"‪ ،‬بمعنى أنها ال تكون موجّ هة تجاه شخص مح ّدد‪ ،‬إنما تجاه الجنس اآلخر‬ ‫عمو ًما‪ ،‬والولد والبنت المنتبهان يحفظان هذه العاطفة القوية في قلوبهم فتكون أثمن ما يمكن أن يق ّدماه‬ ‫لشريك المستقبل‪ .‬وكلّما نضجت الفتاة أو الشاب‪ ،‬تبدأ العاطفة العامة أن تضيق وأن تتخصّ ص حتى تتر ّكز‬ ‫في شخص واحد يرى فيه الشاب أن هذه هي الفتاة المناسبة له‪ ،‬والفتاة نفس األمر‪ ،‬وهو ما يُسمى بمرحلة‬ ‫"النضج العاطفي"‪ .‬يحدث القبول واإلعجاب‪ ،‬ثم مع الصلوات ومع المشورة‪ ،‬وأخذ الوقت الكافي لمعرفة‬ ‫الطرف اآلخر يتم االرتباط‪ .‬لكن إن حدث أن الشاب أهدر عاطفته قبل االرتباط‪ ،‬ال يجد ما يقدمه للفتاة التي‬ ‫سيرتبط بها يو ًما من األيام‪ ،‬فيكون كمثل شاب يركب الترام وتراه كل محطتين أو ثالث يقوم بتمزيق ورقة‬ ‫مالية‪ ،‬مئة جنيه ً‬ ‫مثاًل‪ ،‬ليلقيها في الهواء من شباك الترام! فترى أنه شخص مجنون ال يق ّدر قيمة المال‪ ،‬هذا‬ ‫المثال البسيط للشاب أو الفتاة اللذين يقيمان عالقات بال معنى‪ ،‬وهذا يفسّر سبب الشجار واالنفصال بين‬ ‫الزوجين بعد ما كان يبدو بينهما من مشاعر الحب‪ ،‬ألن هناك ما يُسمى بإناء المشاعر‪ ،‬فحينما يمتلئ القلب‬ ‫بالمشاعر يصبح لديه خزين ثمين يقدمه لشريكه‪ ،‬والقلب الممتلئ بتلك العاطفة النقية هو أثمن من كل الهدايا‬ ‫ً‬ ‫قائاًل‪« :‬احفظ نفسك‬ ‫المادية من ذهب وغيره‪ .‬بولس الرسول يوصي تلميذه تيموثاوس‪ ،‬الذي كان شابًا‪،‬‬ ‫طاهرة» (‪1‬تي‪ ،)22 :5‬ونفس الكالم ينطبق على الشاب والشابة اللذين يتجهان للرهبنة أو التكريس‪ ،‬يمتلئ‬ ‫إناء المشاعر وتصبح هذه العاطفة موجّ هة هلل‪.‬‬ ‫كلمة الحب مكوّ نة من حرفين‪ ،‬فلنقل أن الـ"ح" حياة‪ ،‬والـ"ب" بقاء‪ -‬أي أن الحب هو بقاء الحياة‪ ،‬فبدون‬ ‫حب ال توجد حياة‪ .‬والكتاب المقدس ذكر كلمة حب أكثر من ‪ ٢٥٠‬مرة‪ .‬وأكثر سفر نسميه سفر الناضجين‬ ‫الذين نضجوا روحيًا‪ ،‬هو سفر نشيد األنشاد الذي يتكلم عن المحبة‪ ،‬وجعل حبه األوحد هو حب المسيح‬ ‫للنفس البشرية‪.‬‬ ‫توجد خمس احتياجات لدى أي إنسان‪ :‬احتياجات بيولوجية أي جسدية‪ ،‬نفسية‪ ،‬عقلية‪ ،‬اجتماعية‪ ،‬وروحية‪.‬‬ ‫االحتياجات الجسدية مثل الطعام والشراب والملبس والمسكن‪ ...‬النفسية‪ :‬كالحاجة إلى التشجيع‪ ،‬األمان‪،‬‬ ‫الحرية‪ ،‬الحب واالحتواء سواء من األهل أو من األصدقاء‪ .‬احتياجات عقلية‪ :‬من خالل القراءة‪ ،‬السفر‪،‬‬ ‫االطالع‪ ...‬احتياجات اجتماعية‪ :‬كل إنسان يحتاج مجتمع ينتمي إليه‪ :‬وطن‪ ،‬مدرسة‪ ،‬جامعة‪ ،‬نقابة‪ ..‬وأخيرً ا‬ ‫احتياجات روحية‪ :‬اإلنسان محتاج إلى هللا‪ .‬في كتب الدراسات النفسية يقولون إنه احتياج للمطلق‪ ،‬للخلود‪.‬‬ ‫لكن تُرى ما هو أهم هذه االحتياجات؟ بعد دراسات كثيرة‪ ،‬قالوا إن أهم هذه االحتياجات هو الحاجة إلى‬ ‫الحب‪ ،‬هو المفتاح‪ .‬ل ّما رأى هللا اإلنسان غارقًا في خطاياه‪ ،‬نزل ليتمم الفداء لكل البشر‪ ،‬ويقول‪« :‬هكذا أحب‬ ‫هللا العالم حتى بذل ابنه الوحيد لكي ال يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة األبدية» (يو‪ ،)16 :3‬ألنه‬ ‫يعرف أن مفتاح قلب اإلنسان هو الحب‪« .‬هكذا أحب هللا العالم»‪ :‬كل البشر في كل مكان في كل العصور‪.‬‬ ‫لذلك أيها الشاب والشابة‪ ،‬عندما تبدآن بناء أسرة مقدسة يجب أن تكون العاطفة عندكما كاملة‪ ،‬ناضجة‪،‬‬ ‫نقية‪ ،‬طاهرة‪ .‬في اإلكليل يصلي الكاهن‪" :‬امأل قلبيهما بالمحبة الروحانية"‪ ،‬فهناك أنواع من الحب‪ ،‬أشهرها‬ ‫ثالثة‪ :‬حب الشهوة‪ ،‬الذي يبدأ وينتهي سريعًا جدًا‪ .‬الحب الثاني حب (الفيلو)‪ ،‬وهو حب اجتماعي‪ ،‬ويندرج‬ ‫تحته حب العمل أو المكان أو الوطن‪ .‬النوع الثالث حب روحاني‪ ،‬وهو المقصود في طلبة اإلكليل‪ ،‬المحبة‬ ‫التي على مستوى حب المسيح للكنيسة «أيها الرجال أحبوا نساءكم كما أحب المسيح أيضً ا الكنيسة وأسلم‬ ‫نفسه ألجلها‪ ،‬لكي يقدسها مطهِّرً ا إياها بغسل الماء بالكلمة‪ ،‬لكي يحضرها لنفسه كنيسة مجيدة ال دنس بها‬ ‫وال غضن»‪ ،‬غضن معناها (الكرمشة) أي لتظل كنيسة المسيح صبية‪ ،‬كذلك يبقى الزوجان شبابًا حتى وإن‬ ‫تقدم بهم العمر وكبر أوالدهما‪ ،‬لكن تظل نظرتهما إلى بعضهما نظرة شبابية‪ ،‬وحبهما لبعضهما قويًا ويزداد‬ ‫قوة يو ًما بعد يوم‪.‬‬ ‫الحب هو فن إسعاد اآلخر‪ ،‬وهو ليس بكالم سرعان ما يتبخر في الهواء‪ ،‬هذا هو أرخص أنواع الحب‪ ،‬لكن‬ ‫بالعمل والتفنُّن في إسعاد اآلخر‪ ،‬وإسعاد الوالدين ألبنائهما‪ ،‬وهذه هي قيمة األسرة‪ .‬أهم مالمح فن إسعاد‬ ‫اآلخر ّأاّل يكون هناك أنانية‪ ،‬لذلك أنصحك ّأاّل تتزوج إن كنت أنانيًا‪ ،‬وال حتى أن تتقدم للتكريس أو الخدمة‪،‬‬ ‫لكن انتبه لنفسك‪ .‬فالحب الحقيقي هو في إسعاد اآلخر‪ ،‬أ ّما حب اإليروس‪ ،‬وحب الفيلو‪ ،‬والحب الذي نشاهده‬ ‫على شاشات التلفزيون‪ ،‬هو حب تجاري‪ .‬احفظ مشاعرك نقية طالما انتويت أن تؤسس بيتًا مسيحيًا مقدسًا‬

‫قائ ًما على أن «اثنين خير من واحد» (جا‪ ،)9 :4‬وأن «الخيط المثلوث ال ينقطع سريعًا» (جا‪ ،)12 :4‬ألن‬ ‫الرابطة الزيجية هي رابطة ثالثية؛ هي وهو والمسيح‪ ،‬الثالثة مع بعضهم‪ ،‬بحيث يكون المسيح هو مركز‬ ‫الحياة‪ .‬في الزواج المسيحي يدرك الشريك أنه يستلم شريكه من يد المسيح نفسه‪ ،‬لذلك تكون قيمته غالية‬ ‫جدًا‪ ،‬ومكانته أعلى من الجميع بالنسبة لشريكه‪.‬‬ ‫صوتك» (نش‪ ،)14 :2‬هكذا مع زوجتك‪،‬‬ ‫أسمعيني‬ ‫وجهك‪،‬‬ ‫في سفر النشيد يقول العريس للعروس‪« :‬أريني‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫تحب أن تراها وتسمع صوتها فتتبادالن العاطفة بينكما‪ .‬يقولون إن الوجه المحبوب مرغوب‪.‬احذروا إ ًذا ممن‬ ‫يشوّ هون قيمة األسرة‪ ،‬فاألسرة المسيحية تقوم على أساس‪« :‬النفس الشبعانة تدوس العسل» (أم‪،)7 :27‬‬ ‫فالنفس الشبعانة بالحب تدوس أي إغراء‪ .‬ابدأوا في البناء العاطفي‪ ،‬واالتحاد بعاطفة نقية حقيقية‪ .‬ولنالحظ‬ ‫أربعة أشياء هي أغلى هدايا يُعبَّر بها عن الحب‪:‬‬ ‫الهدية األولى هي الوقت‪ :‬أغلى هدية تقدمها ألحد أن تجلس لتتكلم معه‪ ،‬وهو احتياج حقيقي‪ ،‬حتى أن هللا ل ّما‬ ‫خلق آدم قال‪ :‬ليس حسنًا أن يكون آدم وحده‪ ،‬بل أخلق له معينًا نظيره لكي يتكلم معه‪ ،‬ألنه كان يسكن مع‬ ‫الحيوانات فال يتبادل حديثًا مع أحد‪ ،‬فمن عظامه خلق حواء‪ ،‬لها نفس رجاحة عقل آدم ليتكلما‪ .‬لذلك احترسوا‬ ‫مما يسرق الوقت ألنه يسرق عمرك! ً‬ ‫فبداًل من أن تجلس مع خطيبتك أو زوجتك أو أوالدك كل يوم لتتكلموا‬ ‫ً‬ ‫في كل األمور‪ ،‬يصبح الحديث في التليفون أو االنشغال به حاجزا يفقد الشخص تركيزه مع أسرته وأوالده‪.‬‬ ‫الهدية الثانية هي كالم التشجيع‪ :‬كالم المشاركة‪ ،‬الكالم المفرح‪ ،‬وتجنُّب الكالم الجارح الذي يؤذي أكثر‬ ‫من الرصاص‪.‬‬ ‫الهدية الثالثة شكل من التعبير عن الحب هو الهدايا‪ :‬ليس بقيمتها أو شكلها‪ ،‬إنما بما يحبه الشخص‪ .‬فالهدايا‬ ‫البسيطة الجميلة ليست بغلو ثمنها وإنما بقدر ما تحمله من مشاعر رقيقة‪.‬‬ ‫وأخيرً ا‪ ،‬الهدية الرابعة هي المفاجآت اللطيفة‪ :‬حتى ولو كانت صغيرة‪ ،‬قد تكون رحلة‪ ،‬نزهة‪ ...‬المفاجآت‬ ‫تنعش الحياة‪ ،‬والكالم هنا للطرفين بالتساوي‪.‬‬ ‫الخالصة‪ :‬عن طريق االتحاد العاطفي تُبنى الثقة‪ ،‬والثقة تحتاج إلى األمانة والوضوح والتقدير والحنان‪،‬‬ ‫االشتياق لآلخر واالنشغال باآلخر‪ .‬ليحفظكم الرب ويبارك حياتكم‪ ،‬ولتكن كل أسرة فيكم أسرة مقدسة‪ .‬إللهنا‬ ‫كل مجد وكرامة من اآلن وإلى األبد‪ .‬آمين‪.‬‬ ‫إذ صار عند المكان‬ ‫نيافة االنبا يوسف أسقف جنوب الواليات المتحدة األمريكية‬ ‫‪ 01‬يوليه ‪ 24 - 2022‬بؤونه ‪ 1738‬ش‬ ‫ل ّما أعطانا السيد المسيح مثل السامري الصالح قال‪« :‬وكذلك الوي أيضً ا إذ صار عند المكان جاء ونظر‬ ‫وجاز مقابله» (لو‪ .)32 :10‬وكان يقصد بعبارة «إذ صار عند المكان» المكان الذي تُرك فيه الرجل‬ ‫حي وميت‪ .‬ما هو يا ترى هذا المكان‬ ‫المسافر من أورشليم إلى أريحا ُمعرّ ىً ‪ ،‬ومجروحً ا‪ ،‬ومترو ًكا بين ّ‬ ‫الذي ال بد أن يصير عنده كل واحد منّا ُممثَّ ًاًل في هذا الالوي؟ إنه بال شك ذاك الموضع الذي قيل عنه‪:‬‬ ‫«ولما مضوا إلى الموضع الذي يُدعى جمجمة صلبوه هناك» (لو‪ .)33 :23‬فهو كل مكان يوجد فيه‬ ‫المسيح مصلوبًا‪ ،‬عريانًا‪ ،‬مجروحً ا بين الحياة والموت‪ ،‬داخل كل نفس مثقلة بصليب العوز‪ ،‬والفقر‪،‬‬ ‫والمرض‪ ،‬والضيق‪ ،‬والظلم‪ ،‬والنبذ‪ ،‬والتهميش‪ .‬فكم من مرات عديدة يصيِّرنا الروح القدس ‪-‬مثلما صيَّر‬ ‫القيرواني‪ -‬عند ذاك «المكان» ليس عن صدفة ولكن بقصد وتدبير إلهي حكيم‪ .‬وكم من مرة نتمثّل بذاك‬ ‫‪.‬الالوي متخذين نفس موقفه من جهة شركة آالم المسيح إذ ننظر ثم نجوز مقابله معتفين‬ ‫ومنذ القدم‪ ،‬في أيام موسى النبي‪ ،‬أوصانا الرب ً‬ ‫قائاًل‪« :‬احترز من أن تُصعد محرقاتك في كل مكان تراه‪.‬‬ ‫بل في المكان الذي يختاره الرب في أحد أسباطك‪ .‬هناك تصعد محرقاتك وهناك تعمل كل ما أنا أوصيك‬ ‫به» (تث‪ .)14-13 :12‬يعني ذلك أن المحرقة ال بد أن تُصعد في المكان الذي يختاره الرب ويصيّرنا‬ ‫إليه مثلما قيل عن الالوي‪« :‬إذ صار عند المكان»‪ .‬بالتالي تكون كل ذبيحة جهاد روحي‪ ،‬وإماتة‪ ،‬وعمل‬ ‫رحمة مفرغة من مضمونها ومعناها ما لم تُق َّدم هناك عند موضع الصليب‪ .‬فالصليب هو نقطة ارتكاز‬ ‫المسيحي الحقيقي ومحور إنسانه الجديد الذي يستمد منه قانونية كل جهاد وعمل‪ .‬إنه «يتمسك بالرأس»‬ ‫ً‬ ‫عاماًل بقول السيد المسيح‪« :‬وحيث أكون أنا هناك أيضً ا يكون خادمي» (يو‪ .)26 :12‬وهل‬ ‫(كو‪)19 :2‬‬ ‫يوجد المسيح في موضع آخر سوى «المكان» أي الصليب؟ أ ّما من يستحسن أن يُصعد محرقاته في أي‬ ‫موضع آخر بخالف «المكان» فإنه ينطبق عليه قول الرسول‪« :‬إ ًذا إن كنتم قد ُمتُّم مع المسيح عن أركان‬ ‫العالم فلماذا كأنكم عائشون في العالم تُفرض عليكم فرائض‪ .‬ال تمس وال تذق وال تجسّ التي هي جميعها‬ ‫للفناء في االستعمال‪ .‬حسب وصايا وتعاليم الناس التي لها حكاية حكمة بعبادة نافلة وتواضع وقهر الجسد‬ ‫‪).‬ليس بقيمة ما من جهة إشباع البشرية» (كو‪23-20 :2‬‬ ‫نتوسل إليك يا روح هللا القدوس أن تنتشلنا من تيه برية الذات والعالم وتصيّرنا عند ذاك «المكان»‪.‬‬ ‫فلتجذبنا جميعًا إلى ذاك الذي ارتفع عن األرض إذ تأتي بنا إلى ذاك «المكان»‪ .‬ففي ذاك المكان وحده‬ ‫!!يشتم اآلب الصالح الذبيحة المقبولة في المسيح ابنه المصلوب المعرى المجروح‬

Nevertheless it was said that‬‬ ‫‏بطرس‏‪.‬‏ من‏ ‏جهة‏ ‏االختالف‏ ‏أيضا‏ ‏أن‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بولس‏ ‏الرسول‏ ‏كون‏ ‏له‏ ‏مجموعة‏ ‪“among those born of women there has‬‬ ‫‏كبرية‏ ‏من‏ ‏التالميذ‏‪,‬‏أكرث‏ ‏من‏ ‏بطرس‏‪.‬‏فكان‏ ‏من‏ ‏تالميذه‏ ‏تيموثاوس‏ ‏وتيطس‏ ‏اللذان‏ ‪not risen one greater than John the Bap-‬‬ ‫‪tist” (Matt. 11:11).‬‬ ‫‏كتب‏ ‏لهام‏ ‏رسائل‏‪.‬‏ وكذلك‏ ‏من‏ ‏تالميذه‏ ‏لوقا‏‪,‬‏وأرسرتخس‏‪,‬‏وتيخيكس‏ ‏وكاربس‏ ‪The apostle Peter was a married man. It‬‬ ‫‏وفيبي‏ ‏الشامسة‏‪,‬‏وإكيال‏ ‏وبريسكال‏‪.‬‏وآخرون‏ ‏مرقس‏ ‏تبع‏ ‏االثنني‏‪:‬‏بطرس‏ ‏أوال‏‪.‬‏ثم‏ ‪was mentioned in the Gospel that Christ‬‬

‫‏استقر‏ ‏مع‏ ‏بولس‏ ‏إيل‏ ‏آخر‏ ‏أيام‏ ‏حياته‏‪ 20‬‏يت‏‪.4:11‬‏ ‏*‏قيل‏ ‏عن‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏إنه‏ ‪healed his step-mother from fever‬‬ ‫ام‏أؤمتن‏‏بولس‏ ‪(Matt. 8: 14-15). In his journeys for‬‬ ‫‏كان رسول‏‏الختان أؤمتن‏‏عيل إنجيل‏‏الختان أي‏‏الكرازة‏‏لليهو ‏د‏بين ‏‬ ‫‏عيل‏ ‏إنجيل‏ ‏الغرلةأي‏ ‏الكرازة‏ ‏لألمم‏‪.‬‏ وهكذا‏ ‏قال‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بولس‏ ‏الرسول إين‏ ‪the predication, he wandered accom-‬‬ ‫‏أؤمتنت‏ ‏عيل‏ ‏إنجيل‏ ‏الغرلة‏‪,‬‏كام‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏عيل‏ ‏إنجيل‏ ‏الختان‏ ‏فإن‏ ‏الذي‏ ‏عمل‏ ‏يف‏ ‪panied by his wife as a sister (1 Cor.‬‬ ‫‪9:5).‬‬ ‫‏بطرس‏ ‏لرسالة‏ ‏الختان‏‪,‬‏عمل‏ ‏يف‏ ‏أيضا‏ ‏لألمم غل‏‪.2:8,7‬‏ وهكذا‏ ‏قال‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏لبولس‬ ‫أذهب‏ ‏فإين‏ ‏سأرسلك‏ ‏بعيدا‏ ‏إيل‏ ‏األمم أع‏‪.22:21‬‏وقال‏ ‏له‏ ‏كذلك‏ ‏ألنك‏ ‏كام‏ ‏شهدت‏ ‪But the apostle Paul was a virgin. He called for the preference‬‬ ‫‏رسالة‏ ‏ألهل‏ ‏رومية‏ ‏ورسائل‏ ‏لكنائس‏ ‏األمم‏‪.‬‏ وكتب‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏إيل‏ ‏اليهود‏ ‏املغرتبني‏ ‏يف‏ ‪of virginity. “But each one has his own‬‬ ‫‏الشتات ‏‪1‬‏بط‏‪.1:1‬‏ كتب‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بولس‏ ‪ 14‬‏رسالة‏ ‏تشمل‏ ‪ 100‬‏أصحاح‏ ‏أما‏ ‏القديس‏ ‪gift from God”, “as the Lord has called‬‬ ‫‏بطرس‏ ‏فكتب‏ ‏رسالتني‏ ‏فقط‏ ‏تشمالن‏ ‪ 8‬‏أصحاحات‏‪.‬‏ ‏*‏كان‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏بسيطا‏ ‪each one…… Let each one remain‬‬ ‫‏يف‏ ‏كتاباته‏‪.‬‏أما‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بولس‏ ‏فقال‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏عن‏ ‏رسائله‏ ‏فيها‏ ‏أشياء‏ ‏عرسة‏ ‪in the same calling in which he was‬‬ ‫‪called” (1 Cor. 7: 7,17,20).‬‬ ‫‏الفهم‏ ‏يحرفها‏ ‏غري‏ ‏العلامء‏ ‏وغري‏ ‏الثابتني‏ ‏لهالك‏ ‏أنفسهم‏‪2.‬‏بط‏‪.3:16‬‏ وقد‏ ‏تحدث‏ ‪That proves that the Lord calls every-‬‬ ‫‏القديس‏ ‏بولس‏ ‏يف‏ ‏مسائل‏ ‏الهوتية‏ ‏مثل‏ ‏التربير‏ ‏والتجديد‏‪,‬‏والناموس‏ ‪body to His service, whether they are‬‬ ‫‏والنعمة‏‪,‬‏واملعمودية‏ ‏والكهنوت‏‪,‬‏واالختيار‏ ‏والرذل‏‪,‬‏والتهود‏‪,‬‏مام‏ ‏مل‏ ‏يتعرض‏ ‏له‏ ‪married like Peter, or virgins like Paul.‬‬ ‫‏القديس‏ ‏بطرس‏‪.‬‏ ‏*‏كان‏ ‏القديس‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏مندفعا‏‪.‬‏ رمبا‏ ‏بسبب‏ ‏حامسه‏ ‏الشديد‏ ‏أو‏ ‪Peter began his life with the Lord‬‬ ‫‏غريته‏‪.‬‏وقد‏ ‏مدحه‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏ملا‏ ‏شهد‏ ‏له‏ ‏بأنه‏ ‏ابن‏ ‏الله‏ ‏الحي مت‏‪19 -16:15‬‏ ولكن‏‏كثريا‏ ‪Christ with love, confidence, and faith.‬‬ ‫‏ما‏ ‏وبخه‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏عيل‏ ‏اندفاعه‏‪.‬‏ مثلام‏ ‏وبخه‏ ‏بعد‏ ‏ذلك‏‪,‬‏ملا‏ ‏تحدث‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏عن‏ ‏آالمه‏ ‪But on the contrary: Paul began by en-‬‬ ‫‏املقبلة‏ ‏وقتل‏ ‏اليهود‏ ‏له‏ ‏فاندفع‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏وقال‏ ‏منتهراحاشاك‏ ‏يارب‏ ‏اليكون‏ ‏لك‏ ‪mity, as a persecutor of the Church and‬‬ ‫‏هذافوبخه‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏قائالاذهب‏ ‏عني‏ ‏ياشيطان‏‪.‬‏أنت‏ ‏معرثة‏ ‏يل‏ ‏ألنك‏ ‏التهتم‏ ‏مبا‏ ‏لله‏‪,‬‏بل‏ ‪of everyone who followed Christ, so‬‬ ‫‏مبا‏ ‏للناس مت‏‪.23-16:21‬‏ واندفع‏ ‏بطرس‏ ‏أيضا‏ ‏عند‏ ‏غسل‏ ‏الرب‏ ‏ألرجل‏ ‏تالميذه‏ ‪that the Lord, when He met him on the‬‬ ‫‏فامتنع‏ ‏قائال‏‪:‬‏لن‏ ‏تغسل‏ ‏رجيل‏ ‏أبدا‏!‏فلام‏ ‏أجابه‏ ‏الرب‏‪:‬‏إن‏ ‏مل‏ ‏أغسلك‏ ‏فليس‏ ‏لك‏ ‏معي‏ ‪road to Damascus, began his conver-‬‬ ‫‏نصيب‏ ‏حينئذ‏ ‏اندفع‏ ‏مرة‏ ‏أخري‏ ‏وقال ياسيد‏ ‏ليس‏ ‏رجيل‏ ‏فقط‏‪,‬‏بل‏ ‏أيضا‏ ‏يدي‏ ‪sation with him by reprimanding him‬‬ ‫ض‏عيل‏‏السي ‏د‏املسيح كان‏ ‪saying: “Saul, Saul, why are you per-‬‬ ‫‏ورأيس‏‪.‬‏يو‏‪.10-13:8‬‏ واندفع‏‏بطرس‏‏مرة‏‏أخري‏‏عند‏‏القب ‏‬ ‫‪secuting Me?” (Acts 9:4).‬‬ ‫‏معه‏ ‏سيف‏ ‏فاستله‏ ‏ورضب‏ ‏عبد‏ ‏رئيس‏ ‏الكهنة‏‪,‬‏فقطع‏ ‏أذنه‏ ‏اليمني وكان‏ ‏اسم‏ ‏العبد‏‬ ‫‏ملخس‏‪.‬‏فقال‏ ‏له‏ ‏الرب‏‪:‬‏رد‏ ‏سيفك‏ ‏إيل‏ ‏غمده‏‪.‬‏الكأس‏ ‏التي‏ ‏أعطاين‏ ‏اآلب‏ ‏أال ‏أرشبها؟‏!‏ ‪Saint Peter was a simple man, a fish-‬‬ ‫يو‏‪18:11,10‬‏ وقال‏‏له‏‏كذلك ألن‏‏كل‏‏الذين‏‏يأخذون‏‏بالسيف‏‪,‬‏وبالسيف‏‏يهلكون ‪erman (Matt. 4:18). The Mass of Lakan has been Instituted‬‬ ‫‪to remember the baptism of Jesus and to exercise of the virtue of humility as‬‬ ‫‪bending to wash the feet of His disciples in the holy Thursday as well as to‬‬ ‫‪practice the meaning of service.‬‬ ‫‪The mass of the Lakan is prayed three times per year: Epiphany – The Holy‬‬ ‫‪Thursday – The Feast of Apostles.‬‬

The Departure of St. Kyrillos (Cyril) the First, the Twenty- Fourth Pope of Alexandria.

10th July - 3rd Abib On this day, of the year 160 A.M. (June 27th, 444 A.D.), the great father, the pillar of faith and the lamp of the Orthodox church, St. Kyrillos (Cyril) the First, the Alexandrian Pope, and the twentyfourth Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, departed.

This saint was the son of the sister of Pope Theophilus (23rd patriarch). He was raised by his uncle at the school of Alexandria where he was educated in its Theological and Philosophical subjects needed to defend Christianity and the Orthodox faith. After he learned a great deal of these subjects, his uncle sent him to the monastery of St. Macarius in the wilderness. There, he became a disciple to a righteous old monk called Sarabamon. He taught him the church books, and the sayings of the pure fathers. He trained his mind and body by practicing the works of righteousness and virtues for a period of time.

After he spent in the wilderness five years, Pope Theophilus sent him to Abba Sarapion, the honorable bishop, so he increased in wisdom and knowledge. Shortly after, the bishop returned him to Alexandria. His uncle was rejoiced, ordained him a deacon, appointed him a preacher in the cathedral and made him his scribe. Whenever Kyrillos gave a sermon, he captured the hearts of his listeners with his eloquence, fluency, and his strong influence. Since that time, he became well known for his vast knowledge, his great righteousness, and his deep influence in his teaching.

When his uncle Pope Theophilus departed in the 18th of Babah 128 A.M. (October 15th, 412 A.M.), they enthroned this father in his place on the 20th day of Babah, 128 A.M. (Oct. 17th, 412 A.D.). The church was illumined with his knowledge, and he gave special attention to resisting paganism and defending the Christian faith. He started to refute the falsity of Emperor Julian the Infidel in his ten essays that had been written after his apostasy. These were the favorite readings of the pagan young people of Alexandria and their pride, for they believed that it destroyed the principles of the Christian faith. Pope Kyrillos refuted them in terms that were clear, strong and convincing.

He set out to rebut the heretics until he was able to close their churches and seize their contents. He ordered the expulsion of the Jews from Alexandria which led to a disturbance and confrontation between the Jews and the Christians. This led to the widening of the contention between the governor and this great saint. Because of his

‫استشهاد القديس كيرلس عمود الدين البابا‬ 24‫ال‬ 24 ‫ال‬ ‫ أبيب‬٣ - ‫ يولية‬١٠ 27 ( ‫ ش‬160 ‫في مثل هذا اليوممن سنة‬ ‫ م ) تنيح األب العظيم عمود‬444 ‫يونية سنة‬ ‫الدين ومصباح الكنيسة األرثوذكسية القديس‬ ‫كيرلس األول البابا اإلسكندري والبطريرك‬ . ‫الرابع والعشرون‬ ‫كان هذا القديس ابن أخت البابا ثاؤفيلس‬ ‫ وتربي عند خاله في‬23‫البطريرك ال‬ ‫مدرسة اإلسكندرية وتثقف بعلومها الالهوتية‬ ‫والفلسفية الالزمة للدفاع عن الدين المسيحي‬ ‫واأليمان األرثوذكسي القويم وبعد أن نال‬ ‫ أرسله خاله إلى‬، ‫القسط الوافر من هذه العلوم‬ ‫دير القديس مقار في البرية فتتلمذ هناك علي‬ ‫يد شيخ فاضل اسمه صرابامون وقرأ له سائر‬ ‫الكتب الكنسية وأقوال اآلباء األطهار وروض‬ ‫عقله بممارسة أعمال التقوى الفضيلة مدة من‬ . ‫الزمان‬ ‫ثم بعد أن قضي في البرية خمس سنوات‬ ‫أرسله البابا ثاؤفيلس إلى األب سرابيون‬ ‫األسقف الفاضل فازداد حكمة وعلما وتدرب‬ ‫ وبعد ذلك أعاده‬. ‫علي التقوى والفضيلة‬ ‫األسقف إلى اإلسكندرية ففرح به خاله كثيرا‬ ‫ورسمه شماسا وعينه واعظا في الكنيسة‬ ‫الكاتدرائية وجعله كاتبا له فكان إذا وعظ‬ ‫كيرلس تملك قلوب سامعيه ببالغته وفصاحته‬ ‫وقوة تأثيره ومنذ ذلك الحين اشتهر بكثرة‬ . ‫علمه وعظم تقواه وقوة تأثيره في تعليمه‬ ‫ بابه‬18 ‫ولما تنيح خاله البابا ثاؤفيلس في‬ ) ‫ م‬412 ‫ أكتوبر سنة‬15 ( ‫ ش‬128 ‫سنة‬ 128 ‫ بابه سنة‬20 ‫أجلسوا هذا آالب خلفه في‬ ‫ م ) فاستضاءت‬412 ‫ أكتوبر سنة‬17 ( ‫ش‬ ‫الكنيسة بعلومه ووجه عنايته لمناهضة العبادة‬ ‫الوثنية والدفاع عن الدين المسيحي وبدأ يرد‬ ‫علي مفتريات اإلمبراطور يوليانوس الكافر‬ ‫في مصنفاته العشرة التي كانت موضع فخر‬ ‫الشباب الوثنيين بزعم أنها هدمت أركان الدين‬ ‫فقام البابا كيرلس بتفنيدها بأدلته‬. ‫المسيحي‬ ‫الساطعة وبراهينه القاطعة وأقواله المقنعة‬ ‫وطفق يقاوم أصحاب البدع حتى تمكن من‬ ‫قفل كنائسهم و االستيالء علي أوانيها ثم أمر‬ ‫بطرد اليهود من اإلسكندرية فقام قتال وشغب‬ ‫بين اليهود والنصارى وتسبب عن ذلك اتساع‬ ‫النزاع بين الوالي وهذا القديس العظيم الذي‬ ‫قضت عليه شدة تمسكه باآلداب المسيحية‬ ‫وتعاليمها أن يقوم بنفسه بطلب الصلح مع‬ ‫الوالي الذي رفض قبول الصلح ولذلك طال‬ . ‫النزاع بينهما زمانا‬ ‫ولما ظهرت بدعة نسطور بطريرك‬ ‫القسطنطينية الذي تولي الكرسي في سنة‬ ‫ م في أيام اإلمبراطور ثيؤدوسيوس‬428

‫الثاني الذي أنكر أن العذراء هي‬ strong devotion to the Christian ethics and teachings, he ‫ اجتمع ألجله مجمع‬. . ‫والدة اإلله‬ found himself compelled to ask for reconciliation with ‫مسكوني مكون من مائتي أسقف‬ the governor. However, the governor refused to accept the reconciliation, and the conflict between them continued ‫بمدينة أفسس في عهد اإلمبراطور‬ for a period of time. ‫ثيؤدوسيوس الثاني الشهير بالصغير‬ When the heresy of Nestorius, Patriarch of Constantinople, ‫فرأس القديس كيرلس بابا اإلسكندرية‬ emerged, a Universal Council convened for him. He denied ‫وأظهر‬, ‫هذا المجمع وناقش نسطور‬ that the Virgin was the mother of God (Theotokos). Two ‫له كفره وهدده بالحرم واإلقصاء عن‬ hundred bishops assembled in the city of Ephesus during ‫كرسيه أن لم يرجع عن رأيه الفاسد‬ the reign of Emperor Theodosius II, known by Theodosius ‫وكتب حينئذ اإلثنى عشر فصال‬ the Less. St. Cyril (Kyrillos), Pope of Alexandria, presided ‫عن اإليمان‬ over this council. He ‫المستقيم‬ debated Nestorius, ‫ضالل‬ ‫مفندا‬ explained to him his ‫نسطور وقد‬ heretic opinion, and ‫خالفه في ذلك‬ threatened him with excommunication ‫األنبا يوحنا‬ and exile from his ‫بطريرك‬ Chair, if he did not ‫إنطاكية‬ change his erroneous ‫وبعض‬ opinion. St. Kyrillos ‫األساقفة‬ composed twelve ‫الشرقيين‬ discourses wherein ‫منتصرين‬ he explained the true ‫لنسطور‬ faith, refuting the ‫عادوا‬ ‫ولكنهم‬ error of Nestorius. ‫إلى الوفاق بعد‬ Anba John, Patriarch ‫ذلك وانتصر‬ of Antioch, and some ‫كيرلس‬ of the bishops of ‫علي خصوم‬ the East disagreed with him, taking ‫الكنيسة وقد‬ Nestorius’ side. ‫وضع كثيرا‬ Nevertheless, shortly ‫من المقاالت‬ after, they came ‫والرسائل‬ back and agreed ‫القيمة شارحا‬ with Kyrillos who « ‫ومثبتا فيها‬ was victorious over ‫أن هللا الكلمة‬ the enemies of the ‫واحدة‬ ‫طبيعة‬ church. He wrote ‫واحدة‬ ‫ومشيئة‬ many discourses and ‫وأقنوم واحد‬ valuable epistles, « ‫متجسد‬ confirming in them, ‫وحرم كل من‬ that God the Word is One Nature, One ‫يفرق المسيح‬ Will, and One Person incarnated. He anathematized ‫أو يخرج عن هذا الرأي ونفي‬ anyone who separated Christ or differed from this true ‫ م‬435 ‫اإلمبراطور نسطور في سنة‬ faith. The Emperor exiled Nestorius in the year 435 A.D. ‫إلى البالد المصرية وأقام في أخميم‬ to the land of Egypt, and remained in the city of Akhmim . ‫ م‬440 ‫حتى توفي في سنة‬ until his death in the year 440 A.D. ‫ومن أعمال البابا كيرلس الخالدة‬ From the monumental works of Pope Kyrillos was the ‫شرح األسفار المقدسة ولما أكمل‬ commentary of the Holy Books. When he finished his ‫بعد‬ ‫سعيه مرض قليال وتنيح بسالم‬ strife, he fell sick for a short time and departed in peace. ‫أن أقام علي الكرسي اإلسكندري‬ He remained on the Alexandrian Chair for thirty-one ‫إحدى وثالثين سنة وثمانية شهور‬ years, eight months, and ten days. . ‫وعشرة أيام صالته تكون معنا‬ May his prayers be with us.
