"Regardless of gender, if one wants to be successful, he/she must work hard to achieve the goal. Analytical thinking is required of all scientists. Learning to accept failures is also a big part of growing as a researcher. Working in the field of Molecular Genetics andMolecular Plant Pathology is exciting and rewarding, and I take every experience as a lesson."

What is your motto?
"t would be ‘Actions speak louder than words’ because I prefer to be recognized through my hard work and results, rather than my title. I am also very lucky to work with a team that is very dedicated to our research. They deserve plenty of recognition."
What keeps you motivated?
I think it is great to be a scientist, and I would love to support young women scientists and researchers in their careers. As a woman, we might think that we are disadvantaged against men but that is simply not true. Gender is not an issue in the field of sciences where ideas, analytical mindset, curiosity, passion and discipline for conducting research are the key drivers of success. Those are the essence of a true scientist.
