BISHOP LUFFA SIXTH FORM The strengths of Bishop Luffa’s Sixth Form are its high academic results and its excellent pastoral care. It is easy for students to get lost in big colleges, and not reach their potential. Bishop Luffa Sixth Form is big enough to be able to offer a full range of courses but still small enough that we can get to know our students and support them as they decide the route they are going to take as adults. For our existing students there are already strong relationships with staff that lead to a very successful experience in Sixth Form. However, we also have a strong tradition of welcoming students from other schools into our Sixth Form. Our focus on the whole person, our higher education and careers programme and the community ethos of Bishop Luffa are attractive to many students, regardless of their background and personal beliefs. EXCELLENCE Bishop Luffa has a long tradition of outstanding A-level results across a range of subjects. We regularly achieve the best results for state providers in West Sussex and are consistently placed amongst the top Sixth Form centres in the country for student progress. Our students have an excellent track record for obtaining places on very competitive degree courses at the top universities. Successful application rates to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities are above both local and national averages. Our Sixth Form Library with its specialist team of librarians provides the perfect atmosphere in which to study hard. Our dedicated Sixth Form Centre and CafĂŠ enables students to work collaboratively, unwind and refuel.

PLUS CHARACTER At Bishop Luffa we recognise that life in the Sixth Form is much more than preparing for exams. To succeed in their ambitious next steps students will need to develop a range of skills and be confident in their abilities. To this end, we provide our students with an impressive range of extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities to help them take risks and develop their character. From leading and managing whole-school events such as Charity Week, mentoring younger pupils or learning how to run a business with Young Enterprise, there are so many ways to get involved and actively participate. As a school Sixth Form, we are proud of our caring ethos and close-knit community which ensures that everyone feels fully supported and knows there is help on hand if required.
