Our Learning Environment Camrose boasts outstanding facilities and is set in an extensive site. This includes a large sports field, multiple outdoor learning spaces, a conservation area with allotment and a pond. We have a dedicated ICT (computer) suite with 30 computers, a Food Technology room and Art room.

The Curriculum Camrose Primary School offers a broad, innovative and varied curriculum. Our curriculum begins with our Creative EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) which naturally leads our pupils into Key Stage 1, where we build on and develop the skills acquired in EYFS. In Key Stage 2, our pupils are encouraged to take an active part in their education. Here children learn in a variety of ways: through whole class seminars, in small groups, paired work and independent learning. Our curriculum is enriched in many exciting ways, such as school trips and visits through to themed/ focused weeks. We also host guests and visitors to complement our rich educational programme.
Beyond Curriculum Camrose Primary School is committed to the holistic development of each child. In order to support each pupils’ interests they have the opportunity to take part in many extra curricular activities including: Netball, Football, Rounders, Drama, Art & Crafts, Athletics, Bollywood and Irish Dancing. In addition, we invite all pupils to Breakfast Club, which allows parents to extend the school day if needed.

At Camrose Primary School we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school which offers exceptional care, guidance and support to all our students. We are committed to ensuring that every child fulfils their potential and makes good progress both academically and socially.
At Camrose Primary School we have Good Behaviour (Ofsted 2013) and believe that it is a prerequisite for effective learning. In addition, we keep a strict uniform policy and expect high standards of dress from all our pupils. This supports our expectation that all children will attend school 100% of the time and will be on time to start their day.
We aim to meet the needs of all of our children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) those as English with an additional language and those identified as Gifted and Talented. We provide a safe environment, which helps pupils to feel secure and enable them to become more confident learners. Support is provided within the classroom and personalised interventions are used as appropriate. Progress is monitored closely and we work in partnership with outside agencies to provide additional support for specific children. We also recognise the importance of developing strong partnerships with parents and they are encouraged to participate in the decision making process.
As a Rights Respecting school we pride ourselves on ensuring that all our pupils are aware of their rights and all staff work together to up-hold these so that our pupils are given an enriching, first quality education.

At Camrose Primary School we work together to strengthen our diverse community, through our common vision for excellence in education and relationships. We acknowledge and celebrate the differences and similarities of culture, language and religion. Our parents and local community help us with this. We enhance our community cohesion with visits to museums, galleries and places of worship. We also work with local organisations to support our varied curriculum as well as having a linked school on the Isle of Wight, Godshill Primary School. Friends of Camrose work with us to build our community by organising events to bring our school community together and to raise valuable funds for the school.
Your Involvement Camrose Primary School passionately believes in a strong and positive partnership between pupil, parent and school. We have an ‘open door’ policy and believe that good communication between parents and school is vital for our children to succeed. Each term we hold parent/teacher meetings where parents can find out about their child’s progress and how they can support them on their educational journey. We use homework diaries for regular day-to-day contact between school and home. At Camrose Primary School we think it is vital that parents support their children by taking an active part in extra curricular events and by being involved in our many educational visits.

Joining Camrose Primary School The majority of pupils come from our Nursery. Please apply the February before your child starts Reception.
