Holy Family Catholic School & Sixth Form Aspire to the Holy Family Way

Welcome Holy Family Catholic School is a vibrant and diverse community which seeks to offer an excellent education to all our students in a supportive, prayerful Catholic community. We are here to serve our community, to educate all our young people towards excellence and to learn to serve God. We place great emphasis on academic standards, excellent pastoral care and support and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We believe in developing young people who are independent, thoughtful and have a commitment to serving their school and wider community. We have our own thriving sixth form and expect most of our students to spend seven years with us. Education at Holy Family is a process of development of the whole person - academic, social, personal and spiritual.

‘Pupils’ and students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is a strong feature of the school’s work. This contributes hugely to the sustained good results at the end of Yr 11 and to mature young people in the sixth form’ Ofsted March 2014

We are a prayerful, worshipping faith community. We support students in their faith journey and provide them with opportunities for liturgical celebration, prayer and service to others. We have a strong history of support for charities, both local and national, and work to instil an ethos of service to others in all our young people. We have close links with our local parish and offer regular retreat days and opportunities for prayer and worship.

At Holy Family we seek to always have the highest expectations of all our students. We have achieved very high academic outcomes in recent years, and place equal emphasis on achievement in extra-curricular music, art, drama and sport. Our students are encouraged to develop their leadership skills and take on positions of responsibility in every year group. Our sixth formers are excellent role models for the younger students and contribute to the running of the school in a range of different ways.
