have a rich learning environment Our staff provide a vibrant and purposeful classrooms where children feel safe, happy and learning ready. We have fantastic outdoor space with four playgrounds, a large field and wildlife area. We use the wildlife area for learning as part of our Forest School initiative; this means children learn outside to have real experiences which supports our curriculum through providing stimulus for writing and supporting our Science curriculum. Our school Library is huge! Children are able to use this as a learning base where they share their love of stories and can use the resource area as a research base for their learning. We provide a rich Music curriculum where children are taught in our wellresourced Music room.

provide exciting opportunities for our youngest learners We are extremely proud of our Nursery, where we provide provision for three year olds. Our Nursery team use the vast space that we have to ensure children’s development is nurtured and their love of learning is fostered. Our Reception classes also benefit from a large area where the Early Years curriculum ensures that children are happy and well cared for and that gives each child their great start into their educational career. We enjoy nothing more than sharing each triumph our children make with parents on an individual basis through the close working relationships our team has with our parents.

are authors and mathematicians Our curriculum weaves literacy and numeracy skills into everything we do. We use a book based curriculum, which develops children’s love of reading and books and provides a great stimulus for children’s writing. In Maths, children learn through a layered approach to mathematical concepts: they are taught through the use of practical resources to develop understanding and harness language before moving onto more formal mathematical approaches. In history we read to research and explore the past; in science we use maths to record our results; we use our forest school skills and wildlife area to inspire writing. Trips and visits help us to explore first hand, developing our language, our artistry, our musical knowledge, appreciation of culture and to capture the enthusiasm and love of learning which all children naturally have.

The health and safety of all our children is of the utmost importance. Parents send their children to our school every day with the expectation that our school provides a secure environment where our children can flourish. In order for this to happen we have a range of procedures in place to make sure children are safe and well supported.
