Education Policy & Evaluation Master’s Program - Department of educational Leadership & Policy Studies COURSEWORK
Education Policy and Evaluation With Florida at the forefront of education experimentation and a bellwether for other states, Tallahassee is the perfect “natural laboratory” in which to earn a master’s degree in educational policy and evaluation. Our students acquire interdisciplinary knowledge and strong research skills to examine critically the vast array of education reform initiatives at the federal, state or local level.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES The MS degree provides the necessary skills for individuals interested in program evaluation, policy analysis and public service leadership. Alumni are employed in: 1. Policy-making, evaluation and research positions in schools, government, non-government, and other research organizations related to preK-20 education; and 2. Teaching and administration position in preK-12 school districts, colleges and universities. “The Master’s in Education Policy and Evaluation developed me into a critical and analytical consumer of education policy and research. As a policy and data analyst for the Florida Department of Education, this program facilitated my emerging role in developing statewide education policy and expanded my capability to use data and statistics to inform the decision-making process.”
