Audition
Create your Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR)
Upload a comprehensive list of solo repertoire studied
Submit official ACT or SAT scores

Voice and Piano performance applicants must first submit a prescreening recording Many programs require an interview – please do not schedule travel until you have been invited to interview Some programs, such as Music Education, do not require an audition or interview
*GRE scores are only required of Musicology and Music Theory applicants. An English proficiency exam, such as TOEFL, is required of all applicants whose native language is not English.

SCHOLARSHIPS & COST OF ATTENDANCE Financial Aid College of Music Undergraduate Music Scholarships Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate applicants who demonstrate superior musical ability. These annual scholarships range from $500 to $3,000 per academic year. Non-Florida residents may also qualify for a partial waiver of out-of-state tuition. Out-of-State Tuition Reduction Scholarship FSU offers an out-of state tuition reduction scholarship, which typically reduces the cost of tuition to approximately 2/3 the standard rate. While open to all majors, this competitive scholarship is guaranteed for all out-of-state students admitted as Music majors. Graduate Assistantships Graduate assistantships are available in most areas of study. Graduate assistants receive a full tuition waiver and an annual stipend that ranges from $5,500 to $11,000. Applicants are encouraged to apply by December 1st. University Fellowships & Financial Aid for Minority Graduate Students Available to a limited number of students in all disciplines, these awards range from $5,000 to $30,000. A complete listing of awards and requirements is available at www.gradstudies.fsu.edu. The application deadline is December 1st; please contact the College of Music Admissions office if you intend to apply. Academic Common Market for Graduate Students Under the Academic Common Market agreement, graduate students in certain academic areas may be eligible for in-state tuition, based on the applicant’s state of residency. For detailed information, contact the Graduate Music Office or the Academic Common Market Coordinator for your home state.
