STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS
Cynthia Yanez, MSW (2016) Clinical Concentration “Obtaining my MSW from FSU gave me the tools, knowledge, and hands-on experience to continue to pursue my passion for social justice. Earning my MSW at FSU was key in order to continue my calling to campaign, advocate, and work towards a better society. I have always believed that the best tool to measure a society is by evaluating the treatment of those within that society branded the worst (i.e. offending population). As a social worker I am using my skills to better society and to uphold the basic human rights of underrepresented populations.”
Robyn Metcalf, MSW, MPA (2013) Social Leadership Concentration “After receiving my MSW and MPA degree, I became the Associate Executive Director at The Children’s Campaign, Florida’s leading nonpartisan child advocacy organization. I play many roles in the organization in the areas of public policy, nonprofit management and communications. The combination of my clinical experience, along with the knowledge I acquired from the MSW social policy track has provided me with a unique perspective to apply when advocating for policy reform on behalf of Florida’s children.”
