PREZ SAYS

that have had this knows what I’m talking about and those that haven’t, you don’t want to know. Weeks after Hurricane Ian the clean-up started and for the next few weeks it must have triggered something as I woke up with the most excruciating pain I have ever had. As I had to step aside somewhat from the grid of clean up, my wife took the controls and kept things moving literally, as she ran the skid steer and picked up the debris. From my hip to my ankle, it made everyday life a challenge. Of course as its feeling better, you just have to try it and I’m sure you know what I am talking about, thank goodness for the e-button.

Enough about me, moving into our second half of our series keeps proving that the off-road community is as strong as ever with rider entries reaching the 1300 mark. From the very popular Stacyc bicycle events on Saturday, our peewees and the entire weekend of racing, we are growing by leaps and bounds. FTR has established itself as one of the, if not the biggest series going except for the GNCC series. Our consistency, medical staff and being organized is one of the main reasons we keep receiving high marks in the offroad world. Our volunteers are the backbone of this organization and I continually count our blessings that we have these folks. FTR is working on a program to enlist some more support and to keep the ones we have with details coming soon.

Also, how could we ask for anything better than having Moose Racing, FMF, Seat Concepts, Engine Ice and HBD Motografx supporting our series? I personally use every one of these products with confidence and highly recommend each and every one of them. Our sponsors are very proud to be associated with us and FTR is blessed to have to them on board for the next few years, couldn’t ask for any better industry support.

So keep those FMF goggles on, we got a lot of racing to do.

Thanks for your time,

Starting Line to Checkered Flag…

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7

A big thank you (!) to all who have contacted us with follow up on the January article. It was my privilege to share how Jesus has moved and directed us through the years.

In Matthew 28: 18-20 Jesus said, “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

This scripture is called the Great Commission. It encourages those who have a personal relationship with Jesus to go and share His Good News with all.

That is why Betty and I have the blessing of working and sharing Jesus with our FTR family.

That Good News is in John 3:16-18; This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Notice, Jesus didn’t come to condemn or remind us of our failings and flaws. He came to help us, lift us up and give us HOPE. By believing in Him, we are given a new life, a fresh start and the literal Creator of the Universe as our best friend.

Notice also that it is a choice. Best example is your computer. It came with a search engine installed. It is called the default, meaning unless you choose to use another, it stays.

Seeking and accepting the forgiveness of your sins by believ- ing in Jesus is an active choice. Not deciding to choose Jesus is the automatic default of eternal separation from God… hell.

It is our desire for our FTR family to pray and make the active decision to accept and follow Jesus.

Romans 10:9, The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”— embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”
