Greetings from the dog days of summer where the grass is crunchy and everyone is watching the radar. Here we are going into the summer months where some of us change gears and look at other alternatives for our recreation needs and one of those fun spots is our annual banquet. Happening on July 15, what better way to get away for a couple days and enjoy some different scenery, of course some kind of bench racing will start somewhere and carry well into the night. We can’t reveal anything yet as schedules and commitments have to be met first, but we will have two big hitters in the offroad community lined up to grace our stage, I will be making the call as we get closer and hoping there is no conflict. Our FTR sponsors have really stepped up this year and will offer a lot of swag, products and support for our membership this coming event.

On a couple side notes, you Sunday boys in the PM race might want to get ready for a full 2 hours of competition as the race time was increased to 30 minutes, so trips to croom or your local practice track might be in order this summer. Also, all you guys that’s been around forever (me included) and are still able to run to your bikes without a cane or walker, welcome to the Legends +70 class starting this season. Along with an Elite A and B class now we should have full gate as more and more are turning that age where we just want to ride with our buddies and have a good time, of course that gets thrown out the window when we hear that “10 seconds”. All in all our summer break will be gone before we know it and it will be time start packing the campers, trailers and vans. Hope everyone has a great summer and come in healthy for round one of our enduro series on 9-3 and 9-24 along with our first HS at the end of September.
