HOW TO PROTECT YOUR HOLI SKIN AND HAIR The festival of colours Holi, is at your doorstep or you can say its just less than a week away. There is no doubt that Holi is one of the most popular festivals among all. Everyone is eagerly waiting for a fun filled day to celebrate splashing of coloured powder, water and balloons, and a chanting of “Holi Hai”. Traditionally, spring flowers ,berries, spices and plants were used for making coloured Gulal. But there are risks related to the occasion which include the blatant use of synthetic colorations made with chemical solvents, and poisonous dealers like lead oxide, mercury sulfide and copper sulfate etc. These can damage your hairs, eyes, skin and even lungs. So act cautious and careful and do not let colours damage your hair and skin this Holi.So here are some of the protective measures for your natural skin and hair care.

1. Oiling: Oil your hair with coconut oil, castor oil or olive oil. If you've got dandruff, then upload a minimum of 8-10 drops of lemon on your oil and liberally apply the combination on your hair. Apply oil throughout your body, together with hands, feet, and elbows. Do the oiling component for a minimum of 20-25 mins earlier than you start.

2. Moisturize: Use a beneficial quantity of moisturizer with sunscreen throughout your body, specifically at the back of your ears and ear lobes as these are the delicate areas that

one tends to neglect. Before using any moisturizer make sure that it has an SPF that helps to resist tan from sun and protects you from harmful radiations.

3. Nail paints: Protect your nails by applying darker nail polish as this will give you a protective coat against harmful chemicals.

4. Wear old, worn-out clothes: This is an age-old rule and a very important one as well to protect your favorite clothes from staining. Always prefer wearing dark colour-full sleeves cotton clothes that cover maximum parts of your body. Synthetics would be sticky and denims would be heavy once you have a bucket full of water splashed on you. Because the more you cover your body, the higher are the chances of saving your skin from harmful chemicals.

5. People with pores and skin hypersensitive reactions must keep away from gulal: If you've got pores and skin hypersensitive reactions, it's miles first-class to keep away from the color party altogether. Instead, you could take pleasure in different non-colour celebrations consisting of lunch or the previous Holika Dahan bonfire.

6. Wear sunglasses: Sunglasses provide good eye-protection from chemical colours and water. Eyes are extremely sensitive and become a vulnerable target for 'pichkaris' and water balloons during Holi. So, protect your eyes from harmful chemicals by wearing sunglasses.

7. Take a good bath in the end: Avoid taking common baths or washing your face in between the celebration, take a good shower after all the celebrations are completely over. Using soap and shampoo too frequently can dry out your pores and skin and hair. Don't forget to apply moisturizer at the end to the whole body after a thorough bath.
