Cultural tourism in Grazalema Grazalema is much more than a natural oasis; it is a melting pot of cultures and traditions waiting to be discovered. The classic cultural tourism trek will take you to La Cibula, the charming ruins of a Roman villa that will transport you back to the 2nd Century. Also worth visiting is the Traditional Textile Museum, which houses antique tools used for working cloth. However, one of the greatest pleasures this white town has to offer is to lose yourself amongst the cobbled alleys that evoke memories of the 800 year Muslim occupancy of the region and that spill out onto enchanting, geranium adorned squares. 10

Enjoy the rural charm of Grazalema The climate is ideal to enjoy nature in its purest form The region's climate is marked by its mountains, acting as an imposing barrier to Atlantic humidity. Thanks to its location, Grazalema is an authentic paradise for hikers as it houses the most beautiful riverside trek in Andalusia. Follow the course of the Majaceite River and its plentiful waterfalls. A world to be discovered Impressive limestone expanses, vertical valleys and labyrinth like caves are the source of some of the most beautify scenery in Andalusia: the Sierra de Grazalema National Park. These landscapes are a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve; it was designated as such in order to preserve the area's dense Mediterranean forests which are home to shy deer and one of the largest griffon vulture colonies in Europe. The Garganta Verde (a 400 metre ravine), the Hundidero-Gato (cave system which is greater in length than Andalusia itself ) and the Cueva de la Pileta (with its archaeological challenges) are just some of the natural landscapes on offer. Hiking routes are also important attractions in the region. Adventurers can also tackle the Pinsapar trail, one of the longest in Europe.
