Welcome to the 2011 Edition of Fuller Royal’s Senior Workshops. Fuller calls his senior portrait program Extreme Seniors, complete with a redesigned senior ambassador program that takes great advantage of Facebook and other unique ways to attract high school seniors. Whether you have a senior program in place or are just starting out, Fuller’s classes will prove invaluable to your studio. Fuller will show how he markets, photographs, sells and creates products for high school seniors. The bulk of his annual studio income comes from the high school seniors he photographs throughout the year. If you are looking to make seniors your niche or just to increase your numbers, this seminar is for you. Senior weekends begin at well as an overview of how he noon on Friday, when Fuller shares his marketing plans as manages his senior program. Later, you will spend the afternoon with Fuller photographing real seniors – guys and gals – in real time in the studio and on location. Fuller will demonstrate his simple and merit-producing lighting and how he quickly changes backgrounds and props. He’ll demonstrate how to make use of existing buildings and landscaping around your studio, going on location to area gardens and homes for more exterior work. Waccamaw for fresh seafood. First thing Saturday morning, you will set up your computer (desktop or laptop) for a day full of digital creation using QuickMats, Painter and, of course, Photoshop. Fuller will show you how to quickly drop in new backgrounds and back-groundblends without the need for green screen. He’ll demonstrate incredible Photoshop plug-ins such as Nik Color Efex, Nik Silver Efex and Topaz that will change the look of your images forever, adding new layers of excitement. He’ll share with you his exciting new promotional materials and a referral system that has produced great changes for his studio (seniors and otherwise.) Fuller will demonstrate how he operates his ambassador program, which has successfully brought in seniors for him from across Southeastern

North Carolina and Northeastern South Carolina. Fuller’s class covers: How to make low-cost promotional materials for seniors; Choosing the right ambassadors and using them effectively; Ambassador incentives; Photographing senior boys and senior girls in the studio, on location in business districts, on location in private yards and gardens and in a lake environment; Selling techniques; Creating products to attract seniors and to sell to seniors;

Creating galleries, black and white, selective color, multiimage blendings and multiimage composites, unique wallets and promotional cards; and Using Photoshop to do inhouse retouching quickly. You will need your digital camera, computer and Photoshop CS or higher, Painter 8 or higher and QuickMats (optional).


Since 1989, Fuller has photographed nearly 1,700 seniors and has won dozens of state, regional and national merits and honors for his senior work. Fuller has spoken four times at the Professional Photographers of North Carolina Conventions. He has spoken at guild meetings seven times. Having attended East Coast School for 10 years – two years as a class assistant – he taught at the school in 2008. Fuller’s studio is in Whiteville, about 40 minutes due west of Wilmington on U.S. 74 and 25 minutes due east of I-95. Many of you have seen his presentations at guild meetings, conventions and at East Coast School. The two-day session, including class materials, promotional materials, DVD of poses and Animoto Slide Shows, Friday lunch and supper, costs $250 for photographers who are members of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC). The cost for non-PPNC members is $475. The difference is the cost of PPNC membership and demonstrates Fuller’s belief in the importance of membership in the state’s premier professional photography association.

Friday night supper – included in tuition – will be at Dale’s Seafood at nearby Lake Waccamaw, featured in December’s issue of “Our State” magazine.
