DESEM aims at developing a privacy education model with learning/teaching methodology to support social inclusion in mentally disabled individuals and professional, guidance, personal and ICT skills by providing access to open educational resources for those who are key players in privacy education (educators and families of the disabled), ensuring co-ordinated work of key players, to establish an official educational environment away from discrimination and neglect for mentally disabled individuals to ensure that they receive privacy education. Herewith, the academic studies, planned activities and intellectual outputs of The DESEM are designed to support and achieve multiplier effect in realizing multiple horizontal-sector priorities and objectives in harmonious and mutually complementary manner. What differs the DESEM from other similar projects? DESEM is an original and comprehensive combination of teaching/learning activities for disabled people like an on-line platform for information sharing, easy access to education materials, individualized learning by using mobile applications, etc. It also ensures opportunities for the disabled to eliminate barriers to social integration. OBJECTIVES Eliminating the barriers to access the education/training for the main actors of the Project (Educators, parents of mentally disabled individuals, mentally disabled individuals) Ensuring the coordinated work of the actor who plays the key role in privacy education of the mentally disabled individuals Supporting the development of professional competencies of educators and parents of disabled individuals through ICT-based innovative learning tools Supporting mentally disabled individuals with visual learning tools in accordance with their learning competencies Including the collaborative privacy education modular programmes into the official education system as an education model
