Thousands of people around the world fall ill with leukaemia every year. The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation was founded in 1988 with the aim of finding a definitive cure for this disease and of improving the lives of patients. Having recovered from his disease, Josep Carreras created the Foundation to mark his gratitude to science and for the many kindnesses he received.
The Foundation concentrates its efforts on the following basic spheres:
