Tappermade incorporates all the things I love to do and have a talent for. I create ocean derived skincare and haircare that I have formulated (I am a chemist). My love of product design and illustration has driven the creation of my brand. Tappermade products evoke the calm I feel when I am in or near the ocean and my customers keep coming back for more because they work so well.

I launched Tappermade in September 2021 and this is also when Made in Devon were beginning their scheme. It seemed like a great idea to have their help and be part of the buy with confidence scheme. I was right! After going through the admin that was needed I had the help of industry experts with lots of experience and they helped me make sure that I had set my business up for success. Now my customers can buy with confidence and I can also sell with confidence.

I am happy creating products in my mini lab at home. Often at the weekends I will take my goodies to local markets to talk to customers and raise awareness of my brand. This year I will be attending the Indie Markets on Exeter Cathedral run by the great team at In Exeter and some of the Bridwell markets too. I hope to meet you there.
