HOW TO STAY PRODUCTIVE WHEN WORKING FROM HOME It’s easy to be distracted when working from home. Between the TV, children running around and housework, it’s easy to fall off track.

Housework Housework can be a massive distraction. Whether it’s dirty dishes or clothes that need washing, housework can get under the skin. Whilst it’s fine to pause work every now and again to deal with a chore, it isn’t something that should become a habit. Instead, schedule time during the week to tackle a specific chore.

To-Do Lists

Whether at home or at work, mobile phones bring a lot of distractions to the table. Calls from family, social media and constant streams of emails can all be incredibly distracting. If possible, try to have a work landline, or a smart phone that is only used for work-related apps. If this is not an option, consider stashing your phone out of reach during office hours.

Writing a to-do list in the morning can be a great way to focus the mind on what needs to be accomplished during the day. The list can then be sorted by priority or deadline, and tasks can be checked off as they are completed.
