What’s the timeline / process of you receiving a job through to completion look like? As I work for a residential builder the wider process of sign up, design, construction and handover typically takes 6-12 months. I am a small cog in a very large machine! In relation to my particular job, once a new job hits my desk, my time line is typically a few weeks. During this time I research my client’s needs and put ideas together, meet with them for a full day to select all fixtures and finishes for their new home and afterward document all items required and source custom items if needed. What motivates you as a designer? Besides passion?… And where do you draw your inspiration from?

Are all-white, handle-less kitchens a thing of the past? What coloured cabinetry is here to stay? There will always be areas where white handleless kitchens suit the clients well, however with the handle range being so much broader than it was a couple of years ago, There has been a big shift away from entirely handless kitchens. How do you see the kitchen cabinet industry evolving over the next 3 years? I see the kitchen becoming a work of Art in the home. I’m really in to modern farmhouse styles. Not only the aesthetics but the lifestyle. I love to slow down and want to encourage that lifestyle. I want people to feel joy, and enjoy the little things and moments. I truly believe a beautiful external environment helps to create and nurture a beautiful internal one. Do handles warrant a budget? Or is it part of the overall cost of build? The deserve a budget, especially in a high end kitchen. With advanced designs in cabinet fixtures and hardware, which kitchen accessories are adorning your kitchen designs? A lot of my clients are looking for a kitchen design that will not date, is beautiful and practical, so for me its all about satin cabinet doors in soft colours, durable bench top surfaces and stylish accent hardware that will complement and set off the design.
