Poetry:
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I LEAVE YOU.....
You Are My Duniyaah (World)
When I leave You Your accounts will be with me: The severed family ties The unrepented sins The broken hearts The selfish deeds T h e " b a c k b i t i n g conversations” The ridiculing slants Guilty pleasures Many a chance You’ll weigh me down As I lie in my grave
You’ll constantly remind me How I chose to behave I chose You over Another Selfish in my own right Misguided by You Unaware of my plight
You’re my world, my Duniyaah My fight with myself If I conquer my desires for You I’ll surely have wealth
I chose You over Another You were too tempting for me I was seduced by your glamour Not realising it was temporary
This wealth will determine My fate in my Grave My Creator's the One Who’ll decide on His slave
The battle had begun When I was tested with misfortune Negative emotions and health I was heading towards Doom
Away with You, Duniyaah At last, let me be The person my soul desires The real me
But as I grew stronger

Discovered: A Planet with Triple Sunrises and Sunsets Scientists have discovered a new planet – located 340 light years from Earth and four times the mass of Jupiter – that orbits three stars and witnesses triple sunrises and sunsets each day, depending on the seasons, which last longer than human lifetimes. Located about 340 light years from Earth in the constellation Centaurus, HD 131399Ab is about 16 million
years old, making it one of the youngest exoplanets discovered to date, and one of very few directly imaged planets. With a temperature of about 580 degrees Celsius and weighing about four Jupiter masses, it is also one of the coldest and least massive directly imaged exoplanets. “HD 131399Ab is one of the few exoplanets that have been directly imaged, and it’s the

first one in such an interesting dynamical configuration,” said Daniel Apai, an assistant professor at the University of Arizona in the US. “For about half of the planet’s orbit, which lasts 550 Earth-years, three stars are visible in the sky, the fainter two always much closer together, and changing in apparent separation from the brightest star throughout the year,” said Kevin Wagner, a first-year PhD student in Apai’s research group, who discovered HD 131399Ab. Rapid expansion sinking Chinese cities: Report Over 50 cities are sinking due to land subsidence. Shanghai has fallen 6 feet since 1921 Beijing is sinking, accord ing to a new study of the city. U s i n g a d v a n c e d r a d a r, researchers found China's capital is dropping by up to 10.6cm a year because of land subsidence, described as a “severe geohazard“ in the report. The phenomenon is also a threat to “the safety of public and urban infrastructure.” China's runaway economic growth has seen a building boom in Beijing, but the city now appears to have reached a geological tipping point. It is located on a dry plain and has relied on groundwater underneath. It is drained by 10,000 wells, the water is used for various purposes. As the water is extracted, this causes the ground to drop -albeit at an unnoticeable rate. Shanghai has also fallen by
six feet since 1921. More than 1,000 wells in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, were closed after it was found 58 square miles of land had sunk by 20cm since 1959. The researchers are now investigating what effect land subsidence might have on Beijing's infrastructure, but it is currently unclear what form this could take. However,
researcher believes the problem can be controlled. “Subsidence in Shanghai was very serious 17 to 20 years ago. But it's under control now. Laws imposed in 2000 limiting water use proved effective,” he said.
To combat warming, CO2 is turned into stone Scientists have turned carbon dioxide into stone in a matter of months by pumping it deep underground, offering a revolutionary new way of storing the greenhouse gas to tackle climate change. The pioneering experiment in Iceland mixed CO emissions with water and pumped it hundreds of metres
undergrou nd into volcanic basalt rock — where it rapidly turned into a solid. Encouraged by the success, the company has scaled up the project and from this summer will be burying some 10,000 tonnes of CO each year.

Afghan brothers launch new mine-hunting drone NETHERLANDS: Former refugees Massoud and Mahmud Hassani stunned the world three years ago with an invention like a dandelion puffball that sought to rid the world of landmines. Now the Afghan brothers are back with their latest creation: a low-cost drone to detect and destroy mines, which each year claim thousands of lives. Ridding the world of their childhood horror has become the life work of the Hassanis, who now live in the Netherlands. In 2013, they won worldwide acclaim for the “mine kafon” — a giant ball shaped like a dandelion-seed head that rolls around with the wind, its plastic stalks tripping landmines in the process. Inspired by their childhood toys, the kafon — short for
“kafond a n ” which in the Hassani s’ native Dari language means “something that explodes” — drew high praise from antilandmine organisations. Now their latest minehunting device combines drone technology, 3D printing and robotics with a metal detector to find and ultimately destroy landmines. They want to take it to Afghanistan for testing within the next two months, the first time the brothers will be back in their native country since fleeing Kabul in the late 1990s. Landmines are scattered in 78 countries, and each year kill between 15,000 and 20,000 people and maim countless more, according to UN figures.

Climate change to cost $20tn in lost productivity by ’30 Rising temperatures caused by climate change may cost the world economy over $20 trillion in lost productivity by 2030 as hot weather makes it unbearable to work in some parts of the world, according to UN research. T h e s t u d y, p u b l i s h e d showed that in Southeast Asia alone, up to 20% of annual work hours may already be lost in jobs with exposure to extreme heat, with the figures set to double by 2050 as the effects of climate change deepen. Across the globe, 43 countries will see a fall in their GDP due to reduced productivity, the majority of them in Asia, including India and China, researcher Tord Kjellstrom said. Reuters

Malaysia urges local companies to expand halal business Kuala Lumpur, (IINA) - The government of Malaysia called on local companies to venture into the halal industry and increase their involvement at national and international levels, Halal Focus reported. Dep. Int. trade and Industry Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan said that as of last year, Malaysian companies in the
country made up only 30% of 6,458 companies involved in the halal industry. “As this figure is inadequate, I hope more efforts can be made in the halal industrial parks to attract more companies to participate”, he told reporters after visiting the Pedas Entrepreneurial Halal Production Park. Maslan said
‘Mina Locator’ app to help pilgrims find their way JEDDAH: Every year a number of pilgrims face problems in locating their tents and places of accommodation in Makkah, and at the holy sites of Mina and Arafat. To solve this problem, the Pakistan Haj Volunteer Group (PHVG) and the India Fraternity Forum developed a navigation app which will work from Dul Haj 7, when authorities start numbering the tents. PHVG spokesperson
said majority of the pilgrims who come to perform Haj are elderly and feeble. Most of the pilgrims lose track of their groups and spend several hours searching for their tent. He explained that with the help of technology such problems can be easily solved, and understanding the importance of this issue, PHVG launched its mobile application called “Mina Locator,” which is a very useful app for pilgrims.

Morocco to establish first Islamic bank in 2017 Rabat: Morocco's central bank announced recently that it would start issuing approvals for Islamic banks this year, with the aim of allowing them to begin business in early 2017. The central bank said it had received seven requests to open Islamic banks and three to open windows selling Islamic finance products, Reuters reported. Two Gulf banks want to establish fully owned subsidiaries while four others are collaborating with local banks, an official said. Islamic banks and insurers are setting up in Morocco after it adopted legislation allowing them into the domestic market, and the central bank has set up a central Shariah board with the country's body of Islamic
scholars to oversee the new industry. Lhassane Benhalima, the central bank’s head of banking supervision, said the Moroccan bank CIH is partnering with Qatar International Islamic Bank and Morocco’s CDG to establish an Islamic bank subsidiary. Morocco's BCP has chosen Guidance Financial Group, BMCE Bank has picked Bahrain-based Al Baraka Banking Group, and AttijariWafa Bank will build its own business without a foreign partner, Benhalima said. Credit du Maroc and BMCI have asked only for permission to sell Islamic financial products. The bank is still waiting for parliament to approve a draft bill regulating Islamic insurance, or takaful, before operations begin as it aims to launch the Islamic finance industry as a whole.

Islamic Concept of Earthquakes By: Moulana Aneesur Rahman Nadvi This book expounds the subject matter of geology, particularly, the eruption of earthquakes and volcanoes in the light of Qur’an and Hadith. It explains that there exists a complete conformity between modern geological facts and findings and the statements of Hadith with regard to the eruption of earthquakes. It covers vast topics on geology including the discovery of Mount Qaf, a mountain which is encircling the planet earth and its effectiveness in the occurrence of earthquakes as it has been described in Hadiths.
