Meteorological and physiological comfort zones are easily adjustable and controllable by both human and electronic means. Safety against intruders, theft and disasters are now problems well taken care of. Productivity, work performance and quality control has been perfected by management, instrumentations, inspections and organized supervision. Minimum walking distances are successfully related to functional spaces. Today researches on comparative solutions of positive and negative relationships between adjacent spaces are subjected to statistical solutions within formal disposition of building components. However, has such computations whether structural, acoustical, spaciously secured, psychological and spiritual comfort made people happier and more joyful? ___ surely the answer is a big NO, why?

uman beings return to great portions of their childhood references and unmeasurable sources of delight. They continue on watching and playing with balls in soccer, tennis, volleyball, handball, hockey, and rugby games. As a grown up and child he likes their heroes, Mo Salah and others. He enjoys games that require maneuvering with curves and round corners, jumping over or under extended ropes. The more of these kits, shapes, forms and colors, the more he is joyful, happy, and cheerful. The more the outer and inner spaces are free of sharp corners with right angles, the safer he is on colliding against a wall or a balcony fence. With nature in gardens full of floras and faunas he will be in his best mood, free of fear and anxiety. This feeling have no boundaries of geography, age or colors.

T

he joy in living within and above nature is undebatable. In nature one is back to mother’s womb swimming, listening to mother songs and feeling her caresses. Suddenly you are out in the open nature with no fear, no worries and feeling ready to meet nature with mother’s antibodies protect you from any attacking Nano, micro or macro elements. The child lies with his hands and feet kicking over hanging flying colorful mobiles.

No wonder, he sees them in walls, ceilings, doorways and gardens that will bring back childhood memories and joyful feelings.

n nature we have ecological world, above or under water, quiet or stormy, soft or salty. We meet varied forms more than on earth. Forms, colors, textures are never duplicated, always new and surprising. They look more varied from one background to the other matching or contrasting. Combinations have humorous jumping, joyful, and dancing patterns.

T

oday, we are in appropriate time with appropriate tools to move towards happy, joyful architecture. After thousands of years of static, stable, serious and sometimes depressing architecture. It is appropriate time to start anew architecture on jumping atmosphere of natural forms orthogonal, or hybrid with overall enclosing continuous forms with no sharp corners created by acutely meeting straight lines. New serpentine forms opened totally between inside and outside spaces formed by zigzag bands around, like on a zebra or a tiger. Water roaring down stream and sliding with water mist down waterfalls in Fayoum and ice skating in warm Dubai, sleep and eat above clouds in revolving tower in the new capital. Architecture blending in form with nature the source of all beauty will enrich our surroundings. It’s enjoyable to go around outside an aquarium with sceneries and sounds of sharks or sliding around Fujiyama on a bullet train or praying for a safe trip in a huge bird “Egypt Air Boeing”.

Water House Facing a canal with a private boat berth at the rear, the home is de-

signed with an abundance of water (a swimming pool and 4 pounds) and every room in the house has a view out to water or a garden space. The emphasis on water throughout the house isn’t just for aesthetic reasons though. The water bodies promote air movement through the house to cool the house down, and all doors slide open to take advantage of the breeze that flows in from the waterway. Large overhangs and timber trellises provide much needed shading from the hot tropical sun, and ‘low-e’ double glazing is used to reduce solar heat gain.

34

Pool A Guest Suite on the ground floor has a view down the pool to the canal and direct access from the room into the pool, and wouldn’t go amiss in a 5 stars resort hotel. The bathroom looks onto a private garden, with a natural solid teak vanity and a generous dressing room space. The Basement of the home has car parking space for 6 cars, as well as service areas.

2018

35

Living Room From the entrance, a floating teak

walkway leads guest across a reflecting pond into the expansive living room. The heart of the house is undoubtedly the double volume living room, which is surrounded by the swimming pool and large floor to ceiling glazing on two sides and sits adjacent to the Dining area and Patio. Sliding doors on 3 sides promote abundant cross ventilation of the living / dining spaces, and allow for uninterrupted views of the canal and boat berths behind.

ome people confuse classic with traditional. While they are very similar in style, there is a subtle difference. There’s a tradeoff that defines classic style between thee ornate and the elegant. Classic style still possesses all the features of traditional style like crown molding, paneled walls and even legs on kitchen islands. While they are elegant, they aren’t necessarily over the top or ornate. Traditional style kitchens have very ornate woodworking and other detailed features that define their style best.

lassic kitchen design still sports elegant additions that define it as a classic style. You don’t have to have an all-white kitchen just to have a classic feel.Dark contrasts like black cast quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and dark flooring can help offset the overpowering all-white kitchen. Change the color of your grout to match the color of your dark flooring, appliances or countertops and create a striking balance between the two spaces of 47 2018 the room. ome of the elements that distinction the classic kitchen designs: White and Bright - It’s hard to tame a dark kitchen into possessing a classic style and feel. Classic kitchens are designed to be timeless, simple and fresh, not dark, complicated and traditional. White cabinetry, creamy stone countertops, and elegant marble flooring help to accentuate the white and bright colors that help a classic kitchen design pop. Simple Styles - One of the easiest features to recognize a good classic kitchen design by are the cabinet doors. A good style door that isn’t especially ornate yet isn’t excessively flat and modern shouts classic. You won’t see raised panels, fussy hardware or detailed woodworking in a classic styled kitchen. Flexible Features - Once of the best things about the classic kitchen is that its design is flexible. So if you ever feel like changing it later on down the road, it’s easy to do and won’t cost you a fortune. With a few ornate chairs, lighting or wood panels you can change the style to a more traditional feel. If you want to go the other direction, you can put a few modern bar stools, add some 2018lively colors and a49 bit of industrial lighting change your kitchen to an eclectic style that fun and unique to the individual’s tastes.

he exciting thing about modern kitchen design is they change and develop over time to allow for new and innovative features. We love watching what’s going on with modern design trends and today we’ll be looking at some of the top features which are showing up in modern kitchens.

Neutral colors

- Although the trend towards neutral colors in the kitchen has been going for some time, it’s not looking like the popularity of grey or white palettes as the main color in kitchens is going away. A predominantly neutral color scheme means that your kitchen doesn’t clash with the rest of the house and blends in nicely with the surroundings. It’s also a timeless choice so you’re less likely to need to update in the near future.

- Integrating appliances into modern kitchens is very popular with more people choosing to integrate their fridges, microwaves and dishwashers. This gives the kitchen a sleek, clean look where the eye is drawn to the design of the kitchen rather than the appliances. 53 Cleverly designed cabinets can2018 hide all sorts of appliances and helps the kitchen integrate seamlessly with the rest of the house. Carpentry without handles

- To increase the sleek look of kitchens which is popular at the moment, more people are preferring cabinetry without handles. While the ability to open your cupboards without handles was previously used only for high placed cabinets, the same principle is now being applied to carpentry throughout the kitchen and people love the clean look it provides.

tatement features- We’ve already discussed the popularity of neutral colures for cabinetry and benchtops but there is also a trend towards adding a point of difference through statement features in the kitchen. And when you start to cook, a virtual chef will send to your smart pan to turn down the heat before you scorch the onions. 62

any people see a future in which no one will need to know how to cook at all.Much of this is still just a glint in an engineer’s eye. To truly connect everything in the kitchen, technology and recipes will have to be standardized in such a way that food can be tracked from the farm to the plate.

Construction

of the building lasted for a very long time, the customers had to wait. But thanks to the delay, we could make changes in the design of the building and approve them by the architects of this residential complex, so we used panoramic glazing instead of the walls with a standard window. Wide glass doorways open onto the terrace allow for the urban landscape to penetrate the inner space of the rooms in the warm part of the year, we also designed the canopy along the terrace.

eatures of this apartment - its openness, lack of visual barriers to the exterior, empty space and lots of storage space that we tried to make invisible so we desired to make a simple and functional interior. But this seeming simplicity, based on a well-designed ergonomics and attention to detail. Inner space is functionally divided into three parts:

he master bedroom is a secluded zone in the apartment, its entrance is combined with a large dressing room, shower separated from the sleeping area by a glass partition.A toilet is a matte black unit. Special attention was paid to the design of the furniture in the children’s because it was required to place a great deal in these rather small rooms, we designed a two-level composition of beds in the boys’ room, which the kids called “nest”. The lower bed, if necessary, can be folded and has a hidden box for bed linen. The furniture in the eldest daughter’s room is designed as a single sculptural unit “Bed - table - bookshelves”. The chalkboard wall helps children to personalize their space and create surroundings a unique and playful.

O

ia, is the most famous of all villages of Santorini. It is known throughout the world for its quiet life and fantastic sunset, and is certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Greece. The village is also situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni and the island of Thirassia.

O

ia is situated on the north of the island, 11 km away from Fira. It is a traditional village with charming houses in narrow streets, blue domed churches, and sun-bathed verandas. Its streets have plenty of tourist shops, taverns, cafes, and other shops. Oia is much quieter than Fira and the busiest area is the main pedestrian that runs along its length. At the entrance of the village is a car park where visitors can leave their vehicle and enjoy long walks in the picturesque paths. The volcano from here is much less imposing but you can still get some gorgeous views. Magazine

ia has several cultural attractions like the Maritime Museum, which houses a small library, items from the maritime life of the area, and the vestiges of a Venetian fortress. Many artists fell in love with the area and settled there. For that reason, the village of Oia has many art galleries. ia also has a small port, Ammoudi, which can be reached by a set of 300 steps leading down. There, small boats can take you opposite, to the island of Thirassia. The beach of Armenis is also located there. Taverns in Oia offer visitors tasty meals of fresh fish.

Cave houses

The cave houses were built, actually carved, in the rock of the cliff face. They were inhabited by the sailors who were the poor residents of Oia. They were constructed by digging into the rock a long and narrow space with a vaulted ceiling. 2018

Oia houses

The architecture of Oia village seems to72have been divided into two different 2018 Magazine styles: the captains’ houses or kapetanospita and the cave houses or hyposkafa or Oia canaves.

The cave houses had openings to the natural light and the fresh air only at their façade where a door was constructed in the center of it and two windows, one on each door side. Usually, there was also a small window over the door as well.

Captains’ Houses

The captains’ houses were built and inhabited by the wealthy residents of the villages who were the ship captains. They were larger than the cave houses, constructed and decorated in a better way. Some of them had yards with beautiful flowers and were surrounded by walls.

Built in the late nineteenth and at the beginning of the twentieth century, the captain’s houses were constructed with the use of material taken from the local volcanic earth such as the black and red lava stones.
