Thank you for joining us at our first ever FVMA Regionals Conference! For almost 100 years, the FVMA has been your steadfast resource for cutting-edge continuing education. We're thrilled to now bring that tradition of excellence to your doorstep! FVMA Regionals was formed with you in mind. Designed to bring world-class education to regions of Florida that don't often host veterinary conferences, FVMA Regionals is more intimate, more convenient and just as engaging as our other esteemed conferences. We are so excited you're here! We offer a wide range of seminars and labs, from surgery best practices to combating mental fatigue and stress, that will enhance your skills and help you find even greater satisfaction in the work you do.
WE ARE NOT ONLY humbled BY THE DEVOTION OUR MEMBERS HAVE FOR ANIMALS, we're fueled by it.

Assisted by: Lenore Bacek, DVM, MS, DACVECC Kim Bissing, BS, CPDT-KA Kathy Gerken, DVM, MS, DACVECC Victoria Miller, DVM, DACVECC Kendon Kuo, DVM, MS, DACVECC Do you ever struggle with the cause of dyspnea in a cat that is too unstable to take radiographs or draw blood for ProBNP levels (cardiac, respiratory, pleural effusion)? Do you ever debate if you can safely give a patient IV fluids or when you should stop giving IV fluid boluses? Have you ever felt frustrated not finding a cause for patients presenting for “ain’t doing right” with no specific clinical signs? Veterinary point-of-care ultrasound (VPOCUS) can help you manage these patients! VPOCUS techniques are rapid, easy-to-learn and practical ultrasound skills that ANY practitioner can apply in every day practice. VPOCUS is commonly used as a patientside diagnostic tool to rapidly identify underlying conditions and help direct further diagnostics and therapy. VPOCUS has a high sensitivity and specificity for the detection of abdominal effusions; other abdominal applications; and several thoracic, vascular and cardiac pathologies. Through four hours of comprehensive and interactive lectures with several case examples followed by a three-and-a-half hour, hands-on laboratory on live animals, participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills of VPOCUS.
