Glass Painting Demonstrations with Kay Devine Sats 11th & 18th June, 11am Venue 54 | Route 2 Many of the artists participating in this year’s event will be hosting demonstrations, workshops and talks in their studios. Do take the time to learn from many of the artists through their techniques and art & craft making, while exploring the studios. A 30-minute demonstration on both Saturdays the 11th and 18th of June from 11:0011:30am providing an insight into glass painting and the different techniques and processes. Come along for a cuppa and fi nd out more.

Sustainability, Ethical Making and how Craft Businesses can improve their carbon footprint.

Kate Sankey will demonstrate weaving using materials collected from the farm (willow and fi eld rush)and from Flanders Moss (star moss, purple moor grass,cotton grass and birch). She will tell the stories of their use in the past - rope making from cordage, bee skep making, baskets, fedging, fencing and garden structures. Try your hand at twisting star moss into cordage, braiding using fi eld rush or a simple tension basket with willow.

Gelatine Mono Printing Demonstrations with Libby Yule

Sun 12th June, 2pm Tues 14th June, 2pm Fri 17th June, 2pm Venue 14 | Route 1

Libby will demonstrate mono printing in her studio. Showing how she creates interesting images on paper using plant life from the fi elds, garden and hedgerows. The demonstration to show the technique and taking the prints from the gelatine plate will be of approximately 30 minutes duration. Seize the Clay Raku Firings Sat/Sun 18th/19th June, 10-5 Venue 33 | Route 2

If weather permitting & dry, there will be raku fi rings in the driveway, with an opportunity for visitors to glaze a pot and have it raku fi red while they wait. Cost £15 per pot.

The Art of Drawing Horses Workshop with Diana Hand Sat 11th June | 10am to 4pm Gargunnock Community Centre Diana enjoys running workshops on drawing and art, and this year she will be holding a day class at the Gargunnock Community Centre on Saturday, 11th June.

In the workshop students will begin by free mark-making with charcoal, and then continue by using imagination or favourite personal imagery to develop expressive drawings. Willow Basket Making with Sheila Patrick & Handloom Weaving Demonstrations with Katherine Cowtan Venue 8 | Route 1

Weather permitting Sheila will give ongoing willow basket making demos. Numbers permitting there may also be handweaving demos on Katherine’s compu-dobby fl oor loom.

16mm Film Workshop with artist-in-residence Jennifer Wicks 14+15 June 11am-4pm Create experimental, animated fi lms and soundtracks without a camera. Using Norman McLaren as a starting point, you will draw, sew or scratch directly onto 16mm fi lm to create a community collaborative fi lm.
