A GUIDE TO GIVING & GETTING INVOLVED at
Since its founding, more than 60 years ago, Fort Worth Christian has been blessed with a culture of philanthropy. We celebrate God’s faithfulness and the support of people like you. Our goal is to continue growing a community of generosity in which we give both our time and our financial resources to deepen the student experience. Active participation in giving enables our community to play an active role in advancing our mission now and for future generations of Cardinals.
Since the school’s inception, every generation of parents has taken up the challenge put forth by our founders: to support the school through prayer, annual giving, shared fellowship, and the gift of time. We have been blessed by your philanthropic and volunteer support, for it is this ongoing commitment that has made Fort Worth Christian the vital institution it is today. Your generosity — through your gifts of time, treasure, and talent — helps to ensure that FWC has the resources to equip minds, nurture hearts, and empower students for a lifetime of faith, service, and leadership for Christ.
ANNUAL GIVING Everything we do at Fort Worth Christian depends on revenue from tuition and the generous contributions of people like you. The Annual Fund at FWC strengthens and sustains every facet of an FWC education — inside the classroom and out. From academic programs and athletics to faculty development and fine arts, every gift to the Annual Fund makes a difference. THE ANNUAL FUND IS THE MOST IMPORTANT — AND INCLUSIVE — fundraising program we have. Although it does not replace any capital campaigns, it relieves the burden of fundraising from special events. Your participation sends a strong message that you believe in the mission of Fort Worth Christian. When you invest in FWC, you invest in future leaders who will make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
CAPITAL GIVING From time to time, the Board of Trust initiates a campaign to fund a new project or initiative. A capital campaign is an intense effort, usually extended over a period of years, to raise significant funds to finance major building projects and renovations, to increase the school’s endowment, and to meet other pressing and emerging needs requiring a substantial investment. GENERATIONS OF FAMILIES HAVE SHARED THE HERITAGE of this treasured institution. Throughout our history, leaders in the FWC community have ensured the school’s future by donating land, supporting capital projects, and renovating or refurbishing facilities. FWC eagerly anticipates realizing the key strategic imperatives driven by its long-range plan, called Vision Forward. We ask you also to consider supporting us as we look ahead to fulfilling God’s plans for our school.
GATHERING Attending activities and events is a great way to meet other families, cultivate relationships, and celebrate how God is using FWC to make an impact on our community and our world. Whether cheering on our athletes at a game, enjoying a musical production, participating in an FWC prayer group, or coming together for a social event, YOU BUILD AND PROMOTE COMMUNITY and have the opportunity to connect with current families, to our alumni, and to alumni parents and grandparents.
GETTING INVOLVED Volunteers play an important role in the FWC educational experience. Each year, hundreds of parents, alumni, alumni parents, and grandparents serve at the school: in the classroom, in the library, and elsewhere on campus and off. They volunteer in the resale store, serve on the auction committee, act as parent ambassadors, chaperone a student field trip, and so much more!  THERE ARE ALSO A NUMBER OF WAYS to support the arts and athletics through Booster activities and to encourage faculty through Parent/Teacher Fellowship activities and events. Throughout the school year, there are many volunteer opportunities in which you can serve and celebrate the activities that mean the most to your family.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (PROVERBS 11:25)
