OUR PURPOSE Rev. David Haun We connect together in many ways: Â worship, prayer, service, and fellowship. It is essential that we build a relationship with God, our peers, the church, and our families. Connecting reminds us of the priority of creating positive, long-lasting relationships with people at church, in our schools and community, and at home. We connect first with God, for it is God that makes it possible for us to build meaningful relationships with others; they, in turn, help us connect to a church family. These interconnected relationships enable us to welcome people who are not yet part of our church or not yet connected to God.
As we grow in our understanding and knowledge of the Bible, we are able to begin to understand how it makes a daily difference in our lives. Gaining knowledge is vital, but we need more than information. True discipleship means discovering something fresh and inspiring in a passage we have read hundreds of times—and acting to apply it.
In our service, we are reminded of our responsibility to serve alongside others. Our church is full of service opportunities - Thursday community meal to house repair and yard work for members to hosting the youth group to leading a small group. We are needed to serve together in order for our church to thrive in our community. God has gifted and empowers us to serve and multiplies our efforts in exponential ways. We will serve together!
As we go, we are called to develop relationships and discern when it is time to talk about our faith. Going feeds our desire to experience firsthand God’s work in our lives and the lives of others. We also recognize in our going that we are one instrument God is using. Go is different from Serve; Go is our individual carrying out how we have connected, grown, and served together into our individual lives as we participate in the world.
WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR OF FAITH AND FUN
Dear Parents & Youth, Youth will meet each week between our 8:30am and 11am Worship services. Sunday school starts at 9:45am where we will have music, testimony from fellow youth and announcements. Please be sure to make this a weekly priority for you and your youth. In addition to our weekly Sunday morning offering, we have several events planned each month including: ● 1st Sundays - Youth Council Meeting following 11am service ● 2nd Thursdays - Serve @ Community Meal - 4:45-6:20pm ● 3rd Thursdays - Guys Untapped Theology 6:30-8pm Castiglia’s downtown ● 4th Thursdays - Girls Untapped Theology 6:30-8pm Castiglia’s downtown ● A different service project each month ● A different fun event each month This rotation will help meet each needs of our youth ministry focus area.

SUPERBOWL PARTY | CONNECT 5pm - End of Game | The party will be held at Jim and Ann McGlone’s House. Please bring a snack and/or drink to share!
MAR 02
SKI TRIP TO WINTERGREEN | CONNECT 6am - 11pm | Let's hit the slopes! 6am departure from church parking lot. 10am - 6:30pm slope time. Parents, please pick-up in the church parking lot at 11pm. Ski/Snowboard rentals - $31. Lift ticket - $57. (Total - $88) Everyone needs to pay the $57 lift ticket fee. If you don’t have equipment you need to pay the entire $88 - this will give you the rental of skis or snowboard. Also remember to bring at least $20 for lunch and dinner. Sign-up and pay early to reserve your spot on this fun filled day!

GAME NIGHT & MISSION PROJECT | CONNECT + SERVE 5pm - 7:30pm | Meet at the church for writing cards to church members and Micah Clients followed by a game night. Food will be provided.
APR 05
MISSION MADNESS | CONNECT + GROW + SERVE 5th - 7th | This is an event sponsored by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia. This year you can expect another amazing Mission Madness. The cost of Mission Madness is $100 per person which includes, hotel room, all meals, mission project supplies, recreation, program costs, and a t-shirt. We are planning to meet at the church Friday, April 5th at 5pm. Sunday pick-up will be in the church parking lot at the end of 11am Sunday Worship.

ESCAPE ROOM & MICAH LUNCHES | CONNECT + SERVE 3pm - 6pm | We will meet at the church 3pm and make lunches for Micah Ecumenical Ministries weekly needs (150 sandwiches and lunch bags with snacks). After making the lunches we will head across the street from the church to Connect Games Escape Room for some fun together. Parents should plan on pick-up by 6pm. Cost $10.
MAY 11
GO APE | CONNECT 1pm - 7pm | We will leave the church parking lot at 1pm. and head to Maryland for an amazing adventure. It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘treetop adventure'. The cost of the trip will be $40 plus money for fast food on the way home. Sign-up early in youth area - space is limited.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE | SERVE 3pm - 6pm | Join us in providing home maintenance/repair for our church members. We will meet in the welcome center at 3pm to get our assignments and teams prior to heading out for the afternoon. Parents please plan to pick-up your youth by 6pm in the church parking lot.
JUN 23
PASSPORT | CONNECT + GROW + SERVE 23rd - 28th | Wenham, MA @ Gordon College | Register by emailing tammy@FredericksburgBaptistChurch.org and submitting your $100 deposit. Camp total is $400 and due May 26th. See Passport Flyer for more information.
JUL 07
KINGS DOMINION | CONNECT After 11am service - 11pm | Let’s head to Kings Dominion for an afternoon of FUN! After attending the 11am service together, we will meet in the youth area for a quick lunch. We are planning to return by 11pm. You will need a season pass or $34.50 to purchase a group day pass. You will also need money for snacks, drinks and dinner.

BE A LEADER | SERVE 15th - 18th | High School Youth have the opportunity to serve in our Children’s Ministry Vacation Bible School (VBS) 9am - 12pm.

STRETCH WEEK | CONNECT + GROW 15 - 18th | This event is for Middle School Youth (completed 6th - 8th). This is a week of learning, group building, and growth as a church and youth group. We will meet in the youth area during VBS 9am - 12pm.
AUG 09
END OF SUMMER BEACH PARTY | CONNECT 8am - 9:30pm | Meet at the church at 8:00 am and we will travel in church buses to Virginia Beach for the day. You will need money for your lunch at one of the boardwalk restaurants (like McDonalds) and for dinner at the food court at Lynnhaven Mall. We will return to the church at 9:30pm. Please Sign-up early to help us secure transportation.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE | SERVE 8am - 2pm | Meet in the church parking lot by 8am and head to the various Micah homes for yard work and minor repairs. Lunches will be provided on the worksite. We will plant to be back to the church parking lot by 2pm.
SEP 15
MAKE A DIFFERENCE | SERVE 9am - 6:30pm | We will meet in the church parking lot and then head out for an afternoon of cleaning campsites for Micah. After we will head to Benny Vitali's for some pizza. We will return to the church parking lot by 6:30pm.

HIKING @ OLD RAG | CONNECT 8am - 6pm | Meet at the church at 8am and let’s go hiking! Bring a book-bag with your lunch and several bottles of water. This is a pretty strenuous hike, so be sure to wear good hiking shoes or hiking boots, and sunscreen. Get plenty of rest the night before and plan for a great workout as we enjoy the beauty of God’s creation! We will return to the church as close to 6:00 p.m. as possible. Sign-up in the youth area!
OCT 19
MAKE A DIFFERENCE | SERVE 9am - 3pm | Day of Service with Lucha Ministries! Meet in the church parking lot at 9am to collect supplies, get assignments, pack lunch and water coolers. Our plan is to do projects ranging form playing with children to yard work/minor home repair.

BELVEDERE PLANTATION | CONNECT 2pm - 6pm | Drop off and pick up outside Belvedere main gate, We are looking forward to spending the day with you in the crazy maze, picking pumpkins (extra cost), s’mores, and having a lot of fun! Sign up early and bring a friend! The cost of this event is $20 and is due when you sign up to participate. Sign-up in youth area!
NOV 03
RAKE AND RUN | SERVE 2pm - 6pm | Meet at the church 2pm. We will then travel to church members homes and rake their leaves. We will eat dinner at a church members home prior to returning to the church. Pick-up at 6pm in the church parking lot.

DEC 07
HOT CHOCOLATE STAND | SERVE 4:30pm - End of parade | Join us at our very own Hot Chocolate Stand for the FXBG Parade. Meet at the church by 4:30pm to begin preparing the hot chocolate. We will be serving at the Caroline and Princess Anne street entrance. This is a wonderful way to be hospitable to our community!
