Les Créations de la Maison presents ten collections, focusing once more on it’s principal distinguishing features as expressed in it’s tagline “The Living Nature”; a passion for natural fibres, where linen is always at the fore, a preference for earthy colours and an ever-increasing commitment to sustainable fabrics.

On this occasion, it is also worth highlighting the distinct influence of Africa. This is apparent in a number of ethnic-inspired designs, as well as the presence of organic shapes and other elements taken from nature, in a colour palette where anthracite and mustard are prominent, in beautiful contrast with our usual natural colours.

A wide range of smooth textures, prints and jacquard designs, for all kinds of uses: in upholstery, window decoration and even outdoor decoration, with an emphasis on double width fabrics.

Comporta

Inspired by the beautiful coastal area to the south of Lisbon that gives it its name, this range consists of different multipurpose fabrics in coordination with each other, with a well-defined colour palette created from our attractive plain weave fabric Lively. The perfect blend of anthracite and mustard shades is highlighted together with the usual natural tones.

The combination of different fabrics with highly diverse influences, where the colour ecru is usually at the fore, is very common in the decor of the best houses in Comporta. The latter tend to be built using hardwoods and natural elements, which look so beautiful thanks to the intense light of the region, in beautiful contrast with the colours of the ocean or its sandy beaches.

HANGER (x3) BOOK

de la Maison CARRÉ (x2) has been crafted around an attractive, heavy twill weave in which the clean ecru background, very often a feature of the decor in this region, always stands out. It can be used to making accessories, curtains, bedding and upholstery, for example.

• Galé: a beautiful, elegant and highly versatile print, on a 82% viscose 18% linen base, which depicts different natural elements such as birds, flowers and branches. It is available in the four basic colours of the collection and is suitable for accessories.

• Santo Tomé: a delicate piece-dyed linen damask in the five essential colours that inspired this collection. Its applications include upholstery, curtains, accessories, bedding and, above all, soft, cosy sofa covers.

• Aberta: an elegant chenille jacquard fabric in a classic Hungarian knitted design in a single colourway, which will add distinction to any space. It is ideal for blankets and cushions, as well as for curtains and upholstery.

• Lively: although it may seem like it has been with us for a while, it has actually only been one year! Gorgeous plain piece-dyed upholstery woven with a delicate twill weave. The palette of the five already available colours served as inspiration for the entire collection.

It goes perfectly with the fabric Troia.

Algarve

Heading to the south, we arrive at another beautiful area of the Portuguese coast, which gives its name to this small collection. It includes an elegant double width stripe, along with a delicate jacquard fabric and two beautiful striped fabrics, all of which combine perfectly with the majority of the collections now available.

They share the fact that they all use only three colours (anthracite, linen and ecru), while their width of 3 metres (except Silves) makes them ideal for dressing the most luminous windows, decorating beds, creating blankets and, why not, making sofa covers.

• Sagres: a striped fabric with a sublime herringbone chenille weave. It is notable for its cosy feel and spectacular drape despite its heavy weight, which means it is also very suitable for upholstery.

• Silves: this material is reminds of crochet knitted fabrics. Its delicate feel and pleasing texture make it ideal for all kinds of decorative accessories such as blankets, bedspreads and cushions (width 140 cm).

• Lagos: delicate and lightweight 100% linen fabric with a unique colourful striped design in black and linen on a white background. Perfect for making curtains or blankets, as well as dressing the bed.

• Faro: a fabric that combines a jacquard stripe in ecru and black tones on a 100% linen base. Its elegance makes it ideal for a variety of decorative accessories, such as curtains, blankets, bedding or upholstery covers.

Savanna

Based on the same colour palette as the Algarve collection, Savanna is a double width sheer that incorporates a fantastic African-inspired ethnic design and a delicate and subtle semi-plain weave.

Both come in two beautifully contrasting colour ranges: black/linen and linen/ecru.

• Mara: a double material sheer with an original ethnic-African design. It is particularly versatile as it can be displayed on both sides with very different results, with one side more intense and the other more subtle.

• Siana: a delicate bicolour sheer made of 100% linen and double width, light and airy, ideal for making window falls and adding a touch of elegance to any space.

Aura

Good things come in threes, so we are launching a third product which comes in double width and exclusively in natural colours; a fabric that can combine perfectly with almost all of the collections we are launching.

Aura is a sophisticated sheer made of linen, with a very attractive double net weave and a stonewash finish that makes it different from any previous product. It has a pleasant feel, attractive drape and a rustic, yet sophisticated, appearance.

African Trees

A lush jacquard texture for this upholstery collection that will not leave anyone indifferent.

A nod to the ethnic design, in particular from North África, not only in terms of patterns but also the texture, weight and consistency of the material, recall the coarse hand-woven fabrics from the Atlas Tribes.

The palette is once more based on the main colours of the collection, black or anthracite, mustard and taupe, both combined with an ecru base.

Due to the robust weave and substantial weight of this fabric, African Trees is specially recommended for all types of upholstery, headboards and decorative accessories.

• Baobab: traditional ethnic pattern with large, irregular lines on an ecru background. Pure tribal expression in a high quality and resistant fabric.

• Nere: attractive herringbone pattern, with an irregular line forming stripes, which comes in the same colours as Baobab.

Great Lakes

As with other years, we are again launching a product featuring high performance fabrics which are ideal for outdoor and indoor decorations due to their high resistance to atmospheric elements.

The influence of the African continent is once again apparent in this collection of ethnic designs named after large African lakes.

We took our inspiration from the African textile tradition and reproduced the designs using European manufacturing techniques and qualities, resulting in high performance fabrics.

Two attractive smooth textures, which could well be used as interior fabrics, in perfect combination with two geometric designs in jacquard and a subtle two-tone irregular twill.

All of them have been created using a colour scheme which centres exclusively on earth colours, from the coldest tones such as black and grey, to the warmest, such as taupe, beige and ecru.

• Victoria: two-tone jacquard with horizontal zigzag design, available in two colour combinations.

• Turkana: two-tone jacquard with a geometric design in ethnic style, available in two shades.

• Malaui: irregular twill in three attractive two-tone combinations.

• Moero: a textured plain weave fabric with embossing, available in five colours: ecru, natural, stone, brown and anthracite.

• Kivu: a textured bouclé with a subtle blend of two-tone yarns, available in the same five tones as Moero.

Woodland

Our statement of intent is clear: we aim to create attractive collections that are a 100% reflection the DNA of Les Créations de la Maison, but which are produced by using different methods, contributing to a reduction in the use of unsustainable fibres.

Woodland, which is entirely made of recicled cotton fibers, completes our aim.

Organic or biophilic shapes feature in this collection, is perfect for all kinds of contemporary and fresh decorations, but above all ideal for people who are committed to the environment.

• Linden: an attractive “multipurpose” jacquard fabric with a design which is reminiscent of tree leaves. Available in five colours with an ecru base: blue, grey, stone, green and anthracite, all of which can be coordinated with the plain weave fabric Bise.

• Ivy: thick panama texture ideal for upholstery and for all kinds of applications and accessories. Available in the same five colours as Linden plus ecru.

• Holly: classic quilted bouti with a wave-like design, available in a single ecru colour. It is perfect for making bedspreads, quilts, headboards and accessories.

• Rowan: embossed fabric whose appearance is reminiscent of tree bark. It is available exclusively in ecru and its uses include upholstery and accessories.

It goes perfectly with the Bise fabric.

Freshy

Freshy is our new sustainable plain weave fabric, made from linen and recycled cotton, in which the mixture of intense colours blends with a warp that is always unbleached producing attractive delavé colours.

Its casual look, strength and attractive drape, achieved by its basket weave finish, make this fabric perfect for upholstery, sofa covers, curtains and blankets; a truly multipurpose fabric.

What’s more, its attractive price and wide range of colours, which incorporate various shades to complement the more traditional LCM colours, make this fabric a very popular option.

Blanca Subur

The old fishing village of Blanca Subur eventually grew into the town which is nowadays called Sitges and which is the inspiration behind this collection of natural colours, reminiscent of the white sand on the local beaches.

It is our third collection with the “Sustainable Fabrics” label presented this January and is made up of four fabrics produced from various sustainable fibres, from recycled cotton to hemp and linen, all with a natural and delavé look which is so characteristic of Les Créations de la Maison. It comes in two colours: natural and linen.

• Maricel: a semi-ottoman with a rustic look that blends recycled cotton and linen fibres. Perfect to use it in upholstery, curtains, blankets and accessories.

• Sitges: a plain weave fabric blending recycled cotton and hemp fibres, with a rustic look and natural colours. Its uses include upholstery, throws, bedding and accessories.

• Terramar: a coarse knitted fabric comprising recycled cotton and hemp fibres. It offers endless possibilities as regards applications, from curtains and accessories to upholstery and covers.

• Vinyet: a semi-plain weave with an elegant two-tone herringbone pattern combining recycled cotton and hemp fibres. It is ideal for all kinds of decorative uses.

Barley

We present our extensive collection of many of our best plain weave linen items in double width, all of which are best sellers, in a range that includes up to seven different fabrics and all kinds of weights and textures suitable for sheers, curtains and upholstery. The article Barley is new in this collection.

The range focuses on the three most comercial colours, as ecru and linen, and is presented in the attractive large square format, a sample that allows you to easily assess the transparency and texture of each of the fabrics on offer.

• Barley: new double width design made from 100% linen with a stonewash finish. It is a perfect fabric for upholstery and sofa covers due to its robust weave and durability.

• Flax: a robust and attractive multipurpose fabric, ideal for both upholstery and curtains due to the consistency of its high grammage, but also its pleasing stonewash finish.

• Drapey: our bestseller in double width and 100% linen; a must for sofa covers, as well as throws, bedding and accessories.

• Norton: another bestseller in double width linen, ideal for curtains, but also for bedding and accessories.

• Hay: a dense rustic linen fabric perfect for curtains, accessories and rural-style decorations.
