A Message from the President Team, In November, we recognized veterans of the military working for G4S at headquarters and in Florida during a ceremony in Jupiter ahead of Veterans Day. We first held the ceremony in 2016, recognizing those within our company who have served. Also in 2016, we erected a Veterans Wall in Jupiter with photos of G4S employees and their family members who have served in the military to recognize their service. We are extremely proud of our veterans and those working for G4S who have bravely served our country. I am equally proud of the fact that 25% of our workforce has served in the military, something that we as a company boast on a regular basis. A special thank you to everyone who has served and is currently serving in the military, and to those whose family members are protecting us every single day. While we are proud of our dedication to our employees, I am also proud of our commitment to supporting our communities. During October and November in Florida, we took part in the DownRight ExtraOrdinary Walk for Down Syndrome and hosted our annual G4S Golf Tournament. Through each event, we raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local organizations. You can read more about the DownRight ExtraOrdinary Walk on Page 8, and you can also learn who the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contacts are for each region. If you are involved in any volunteer activities, be sure to contact your CSR contact for your region to ensure that your work is recognized. As the calendar turns to the holiday season, I implore all of us to take time to spend with those we love. I also want us to use the holiday season to spread compassion and joy and to follow the ideals of Dignity and Respect. We have become the successful company we are because we have come together as a team and strive to treat one another with the respect we each deserve. This holiday season, I hope that we are able to carry over that attitude and treat one another with peace and caring. Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely,

Drew Levine President, G4S Secure Solutions (USA)

G4S All Stars G4S CPO Recognized for Commitment to Client LARGO, Fla. — Not every G4S Security Officer is put in a situation where their hours of training or years of experience are put to the test, but that doesn’t make the role that they play in providing security for our customers any less important. At the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s office, G4S Custom Protection Officer Matt Plock is committed to providing security and accommodating both the office staff and guests. When two elderly customers entered the office, CPO Plock helped them find their station and make sure their belongings were secured. “He truly goes above and beyond all the time and it is awesome to see,” said Samantha Caruso, Customer Service Technician with the office.“I truly think we lucked out with him.”

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The role of a security officer at a healthcare facility isn’t only to provide security, but also to be able to provide emergency help if necessary. When a patient was driving towards Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s Emergency Department, he suffered a heart attack and crashed his car. G4S CPO Collie Francovich was notified of the accident and immediately responded. G4S Supervisor Derrick Hayes, CPO James Garvida and CPO Dustin Marshall assisted as 9-1-1 was called for emergency assistance.

Thank you, CPO Plock, for your commitment to providing security but also ensuring the guests of our client are G4S CPO Matt Plock cared for from the moment they enter to the moment they leave.

CPOs Marshall and Garvida worked to clear the scene for healthcare personnel and emergency responders and directed traffic to ensure the location was secure. CPO Francovich assisted in safely removing the patient from the vehicle while Supervisor Hayes worked with law enforcement and gathered information about the patient.

Team in Charlotte Stop Armed Man

A G4S Security Officer’s role can change in a moment’s notice, but thankfully our team of experienced personnel were on scene to assist when a medical emergency occurred and put an individual’s life in danger.

G4S Security Officer Celebrates Continued Success with G4S and Client

L to R: CPO Daniel Shober, CPO Samantha Garrett, SPO James McNicholas, Sgt. Calvin Grier

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In a matter of seconds, a normal day on the shift can take a drastic turn. For G4S Security Officers, the ability to be alert and ready for those situations is vital to providing safety. For a client in Charlotte, G4S’ team was preparing to turn over the command center to the next shift when a man began brandishing what looked like a gun, pointing it towards the men’s restroom.

L to R: G4S USO Anna Klaene, Site Supervisor Martin Madden

G4S’ team of SPO James McNicholas, CPO Samantha Garrett, Sgt. Calvin Grier and CPO Daniel Shober arrived and commanded the man to drop the weapon, which he did. The gun ended up being a BB gun, but the team ensured that no one was harmed and the man, who was in possession of drugs and had warrants for arrest for robbery and assault, was arrested.

FLORENCE, Ky. — For two consecutive years, G4S USO Anna Klaene has stood out among G4S Security Officers in the Midwest Region, being named the 2016 Security Officer of the Quarter for the account she serves, and the 2017 Security Officer of the Year for the same account. In 2018, USO Klaene celebrated five years with G4S and was recognized by her site supervisor, Martin Madden, for her commitment to each assigned shift and her dedication to G4S and the client.

Great work by our team in Charlotte for diffusing a potentially dangerous situation.

Congratulations to USO Klaene on her awards and her anniversary with G4S.

G4S employees dressed up as various Winnie the Pooh characters and superheroes, served ice cream, cotton candy and cooked food for those in attendance and hosted a jail house where people could put friends and family in “jail.” G4S also sponsored a pie-in-your-face event, where individuals were given the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of a friend or family member. G4S first became involved in 2012 and since has raised close to $100,000, helping empower those with Down syndrome and their families. Founded in 1980, the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization serves people with Down syndrome in Palm Beach County, providing programs, education and advocacy to help families break down the barriers that stand in the way of their children’s success. G4S Safety Moments: Slip, Trip and Fall

G4S Safety Moments

Slip,Trip and Fall Awareness as Winter Approaches

As the leaves continue to fall off the trees and the temperatures drop, the winter season is upon most of the United States. While the winter season brings holidays and numerous outdoors activities, it also brings cold, snow and ice. As the roads and walkways become slicker, the safety team is giving you information to avoid slips, trips and falls this winter. When walking, it is important to be aware of every step you take and to have the best possible footwear. Avoid wearing soles with little to no traction and make sure your shoelaces are tied correctly. If walking on a sidewalk and there is a handrail available, be sure to hold the railing in case you lose your balance. Ice may be the most prevalent risk, but also be on the lookout for any tripping hazards as well. When walking inside, the same care and awareness needs to be taken. Keep your work areas, passageways and storerooms clean and orderly and avoid having hoses or cords in hallways or designated aisles. Conducting periodic inspections for slip and trip hazards is also important. Much like walking outside, be sure to hold onto the handrail when using the stairs and don’t carry too many items that will make it hard for you to see where you are going. Slip, trip and fall injuries can pose a serious risk to your health and ability to work. This winter, please be sure to take your time when walking both indoors and outdoors to ensure that you get where you’re going safely. To get additional safety information, contact your local office or send an email to safety@usa.g4s.com.

G4S Training and Development: G4Su Layout

New Layout and Information Now Available on G4Su

We are excited to introduce the new G4Su login and homepage. The new G4Su Homepage has streamlined the learning experience and offers you a more engaging experience. Make sure to check out the Additional Training Resources now highlighted in the first row. You may notice the addition of a ‘My Plan’ tab to your home page. My Plan is a new page in the Learner View, accessible from the left-hand navigation that replaces the My Library icon and page. Here, you can manage your activity enrollments and overall learning journey. You’ll also notice that in addition to the My Plan tab replacing the My Library tab, many of the pages from My Library are now directly accessible in the menu. Favorites, History and External Credits are all a click away, and we’ve also added My Sessions from the Browse page here as well. All of the pages that are navigated to from these links are unchanged and contain the same content. The My Plan page shows activity enrollments in a quarterly view, starting with the current quarter as well as up to the next two quarters. Did you notice the recently added New Smarter SEARCH in G4Su? It’s not simply a cosmetic facelift. It’s a stronger, better, faster kind of Smart Search that allows you to search beyond activity titles digging into content, description fields, files, text from linked sets and even video. While there are many new features to go with the layout, there is also plenty of the same great training available, including G4S Culture Wizard. Culture Wizard provides cultural learning resources to help you gain cultural fluency and understanding to help you succeed. You can focus on specific cultures and countries and learn about various topics, allowing you to customize your learning experience. To enroll in Culture Wizard, click the Cultural Awareness box (as seen above) and create an account. The Access Code for first time users will be g4semployee.
