A Message from the President Team, As we turn our calendars to 2019, I want to take this moment to look back on 2018 and thank each and everyone of you for all that you did to support G4S, our clients and your fellow coworkers. We experienced our fair share of activity throughout the year. Whether it was in the Carolinas or Florida as we weathered hurricanes and flooding, or if it was in California as we battled wildfires, the resolve of G4S employees across the region was clearly evident. To support our hurricane relief efforts, employees from almost every single region raised their hands to volunteer their time to help put the pieces together. And while no employees from the California-Pacific region deployed to support hurricane relief efforts, it was for good reason. For weeks, our teams in California fought wildfires, working to provide as much safety as we could to those affected. Throughout my 30 years with the company, it never ceases to amaze me the dedication that our employees have not only to our clients, but to one another. Without second thought, our team members from across the country jump at the opportunity to help others within our organization. Whether it be deploying to the Carolinas, Houston, California or Puerto Rico, they are there. It doesn’t matter if it is for three days or three months, our team is willing to step up to the plate. While we gather with loved ones this season and make our holiday wishes and New Year’s Resolutions, my wish is that we all carry the values of Dignity and Respect with us into the new year and beyond. I wish for us all to be inclusive and understanding and to treat others with respect, even if they are a Cowboys fan. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and yours! Sincerely,
Drew Levine President, G4S Secure Solutions (USA)

California Duo Help Apprehend Intoxicated Man
G4S Security Officer Saves Client From Potential Fine
L to R: G4S Project Manager Justin Dalrymple, G4S Lieutenant Roland Boucaud
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — When a G4S Security Officer is standing post, they aren’t always protecting the client and the client’s location from physical harm: they can also help protect against financial harm. G4S Lieutenant Roland Boucaud was on duty when he noticed an individual attempting to gain entrance into the client’s facility. Lt. Boucaud approached the man immediately, asking for identification and credentials that would allow him access to the area. It turned out the individual was an undercover agent conducting an access audit of the facility, and because of Lt. Boucaud’s actions in turning him away, the client avoided a fine that would have been in excess of $10,000. Great observation skills by Lt. Boucaud in not only keeping the facility safe, but helping the client avoid a potentially costly fine.
G4S CPO De-Escalates Dangerous Situation
L to R: G4S Site Supervisor Mike Chand, G4S Security Officer James Tullis
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Whether it’s early in the morning or late at night, an incident can arise at any moment while a G4S employee is on duty. In California, G4S Site Supervisor Mike Chand and security officer James Tullis observed an intoxicated man on the client’s site and notified local authorities. When police arrived and were arresting the man, the man managed to get away from the authorities and attempted to tackle a police officer. Supervisor Chand was able to pull the man away from the police officer and got him to the ground. With the help of Security Officer Tullis, Chand was able to restrain the man while police were able to arrest him. Great work by our team in California helping to arrest an aggressive man and prevent any harm to everyone involved.

G4S CPO Rick Rimmele
SARASOTA, Fla. — Providing high quality care and security is one of the main priorities for a G4S Security Officer. When G4S CPO Rick Rimmele was on duty at a client’s location, he observed a man yelling aggressively at an employee of the client. CPO Rimmele attempted to de-escalate the situation verbally, but that prompted the man to pull a knife and point it at CPO Rimmele. Calmly, CPO Rimmele was able to get the man to drop the knife before he subdued and detained him until police arrived and initiated the arrest. Great work by CPO Rimmele in ensuring the safety of the employee and other individuals at the location.

G4S Safety Moments: Holiday Safety
G4S Safety Moments
Holiday Safety Awareness During the Holidays
As you gather with your family and friends this holiday season, we encourage you to not forget about the safety of you and your loved ones, whether it be while shopping, traveling or even at home. If you’re out and about looking for the perfect gift for someone, stay alert to avoid becoming a victim. Never leave your valuables unattended and be sure to park in well-lit areas and remain aware of your surroundings and if possible, shop with family or friend - but be sure not to give away what you’re getting them! Keep the packages you’ve purchased in your vehicle and out of sight, like in the trunk of your car. If you use WiFi only use one that does not require personal information and avoid leaving your Bluetooth on to prevent unwanted access to your device. If you use an ATM, make sure no one is looking over your shoulder and go directly to your vehicle once you get your cash. Don’t count your money at the ATM. If you are traveling, have a trusted neighbor pick up your mail and newspapers. You can also contact the local authorities to inquire about vacation watches or residential checks. If you can, put your lights on a timer and double-check that all windows and doors are locked when you leave. Shopping online is great to avoid lines, but if you can try to request delivery confirmation and contact the shipping company to arrange for a time that you are home to receive them. Do not display gifts and valuables in the window or doorway where they can be seen. If a suspicious vehicle is following you, do not enter your driveway. Instead, go to a safe location where there are people and call the police. Do not leave your garage door opener in the vehicle as that could give someone access to your home if they steal your car or garage door opener. To get additional safety information, contact your local office or send an email to safety@usa.g4s.com.
