Lazarus TowerBackpack Home eVolo Skyscraper Competetion Year: 2016 The Lazarus Tower concept mainly revolves around the quick pack and go that provides first aid homes in emergency situations. It all comes in a one four meter-height pacage, easily stored in big garages, and can be lifted up creating six independent floors to reach ninteen meter height, within a one-day construction mechanism. Each floor contains two apartments for a six individual family. One master bedroom with one bed and under-bed storage, one single bedroom for four indviduals, also with four under-bed storage, a living room for six to eight users with the ability to extend for more. The partition walls are flexible and can be closed in the night time, and open in the day time, to create more space and functionality around the apartment. All the furniture is designed to be easily stored within each apartment floor and can be used in multiple ways.

The main concept is based on the pack and go idea. The four-meter, six-floor package is carried on a trailer, pulled by a truck to the destined site, in which the ground floor remains a fixed height and the fivie other floors are folded on the top of the ground floor. When erecting the building, a hydraulic mechanism is used to lift the stories up. The inflated fabric walls, the sewage pipes and stairs all rise up to shape and fix the five upper floors, resulting a building with a height of 19 meters.

The idea: Recently, we’ve been noticing big changes in the environment due to the over growth in population and crowded cities which makes it on the other hand a serious problem in many countries around the world, and here came the idea of creating a livable and adjustable spaces and environment in almost any place in the world! The core of the idea revolves around the vertical expansion for environment, in which it offers empty spaces and extents that contain all kind and aspects of lives on them! Not only that, it also provides all kind of buildings and facilities a city might need. Buildings that will mostly be designed as high-rise skyscrapers that besides all facilities they provide for users, and because of the big height in design, they are capable of providing two to three seasons all at once all year, which people can enjoy and experience every day. These well-designed buildings can adjust with any changes in the climate. For example, since the buildings are so high, the top parts of the skyscrapers can go very low in temperature that might be dragged down to below zero. As a result, these skyscrapers are designed to automatically control heat inside and make it always balanced. So the more it gets cold in the outside, the warmer it gets in the inside. In short, this environment with all buildings in it is a vertical world that includes all topography and weather in one place at one time! eVolo Skyscraper Competition entry

Students residence is to be built using abandoned shipping container near the project site in Aden port. There ar many benefits to container architecture, few of them include; strenght, durability, availability, and cost. the abundance and relative cheapness(some sell for as little as 900$). Shipping container architecture gets a lot of encouraging coverage in the design world as a trendy green alternative to traditional building materials, and seems like a smart choice for people looking for eco-consciouness.
