Neil Denari is principal of NMDA, Neil M. Denari Architects Inc and a Professor of Architecture at UCLA. He received his B Arch from the University of Houston in 1980 and an MArch from Harvard in 1982. As GERNREICH moved into fashion design, he broke with convention and looked towards the future of fashion for over three decades. GERNREICH is most well known for designing the first topless swimsuit and is often overlooked for his numerous innovative accomplishments such as the first use of vinyl and plastic in clothing, see-through clothing and the transparent bra, designer jeans and knitted tube dresses.
